These "people" are starting to get some media attention in India for not only ripping off their customers but also ripping off their employees and I suspect that they might not be around much longer. At least not under their current company name. No doubt that if they do get shut down they'll show up again with the same old scam but just with a new company name. Scumbags.

Just got a call and it is government poll. yea right. not human so couldn't say what I wanted to.

Local election here in SK. on Nov 7, 2011. This particular call was a one-question survey...support or not support : party "1" or Party "2"...NDP or Saskparty. I know these area codes that are used can be "rented". So it MAY be a scammer at times, or it may be legitimate. I would still not answer, because most of the time it has nothing to do with legitimate calls.

HI    My  Company  in Canada is  www.globaltech.bc..ca.       It is  a legitimate  Recruiting Co  with 19  years    history of doing business with this domain and Co  name

I have not had a CALL from them  BUT   several people  found my  Co  name  on an internet search and  threatening to report  ME   for  making these calls

I hope  by  posting this SOMEONE out there  can  block or   report or  stop this  annoying  practice

Here is what I do-   when I get these calls-  THey don't  take  a breath  THey  just  ramble on right?

I INTERRUPT THEM!!!   YES      DO  that.    Don't be  all Canadian- polite.  They are intruding on YOUR privacy  Calling on a phone service   YOU pay for

They  might pretend this is  a  SURVEY  Have you had the calls on a  weekend or  SUnday  asking if you use blue boxes for recycling yetÉ  IT has  NOTHING  to do with recycling

Say   WHICH  CO  are you calling from?  Please give me your website AND  ph  numder

If they won't    YOU say  (  i actually  YELL)  

TAKE  my number  OFF your  calling list NOW  or  I will report you to  THIS  site  THEN  hang  up

This is not the company that is calling to conduct the polls.  I did send this person an email only to find out that she is the president of an IT recruiting company based in BC.  They don't do any kind of polling or anything like that.

Scam do not give any personal infor over the phone especially if they tell you your computer has a virus hang up immediately.  Ask lots of questions if your gut tells you this doesn't seem right hang up they are believable but check the infor out or write infor down and call them the next day after investigating or by calling your FI to verify etc...

Lovely the government creates the do not call list then these idiots use it to ask who you want to vote for.

Keep getting calls and no msg!  Love Google 'cause you can find out just about anything.  So, thank you to those who post these unwanted calls and to the "telemarketer" who is looking to blow the whistle on these companies.  God will take care of the dirt of this world and all their possessions will be given to those who are right and double for those they cheated.  Make sure to take 3 steps to either the left or the right because when that lightening bolt comes down you won't be near it!!  God Bless.

I totally agree, Michael. I had a neighbour who believed this crap and after performing the instructions given by the agent, her machine was totally messed up. She had to get her real support person to do a full format and reinstall to ensure everything malware-wise was removed.

Sad that we do not have more control over who is allowed to call us. Every phone service should be required to provide a blocking system that can be programmed via the web, allowing for any combination of wildcards for blocking purposes. And they need to revisit the protocol that controls caller ID so that it is not possible to spoof it.

every day I get a call from an 877, 888, or 866 number.To-day it was 877 697 5766 and 866 235 8385. There is no answer at the first and the 2nd is 1 of several that always call when I am not here

I'm now disclosing all our company's secret out here because I'm feeling guilty to be part of a very big scam and don't want my country's name to tarnish. The MD of arjun group of industries is Mr. Ankit Jaiswal.
We are totally a scam and we have three processes namely The UK process where we are required to scam the nice people of the UK. The second is the US process where the same thing is done to the US people and last but not the least they recently introduced an austrailian process.
well the scamming first starts with a phone call from a british accented indian. he says " Hello I'm david (my alias name) am i speaking with ... (Your last name) then starts to tell that ur computer might have downloaded a very dangerous online infection that is very dangerous for ur computer and they came to know all about it after they saw ur IP address was blinking in their server system.
after a lot of talks they ask for money.

Facts:
1. Those errors and warnings are nothing but page faults in the operating system. Windows just logs it down.
2. There is nothing as the open gateway of the internet from where these so called infections can come.
3. There is nothing as the International Server System. These gys buy your telephone number from various companies.
4. Your IP (Internet Protocol) address cannot blink coz its not something which can report anything. Its just the identification of ur computer in the network.

DOs'
1. Hang Up the phone as soon as u hear any of rthose above said dialogues.
2. Never ever download anything or do anything they tell u to do so.
3. DO NOT CONNECT UR COMPUTER REMOTELY. DO NOT GO TO

4. Do not ever give ur credit card details or fill any of the claimed Secured Banking Form from them. because if u come to this point then they would be able to see anything ur doing with the computers as ur computer is already connected.

redialed - french language message "GlobalTech", all our operators are busy, etc. - Do Not Call doesn't stop these scammers... don't know why, but it doesn't.

Even though I have registered with "DO NOT CALL", I still get these calls!!!

yeah i understand im in australia and i got a call from them saying my computer is infected and only they can fix it and im like im a computer expert i can fix my own problems on the laptop anyways after 20 mins of me telling her i can handle it myself she told me to go to hell and she hung up.

Found on my caller id.  Called back, and the voicemail that answers it is in French, a language I do not speak.  Only the name "Global Tech" was understandable.

Just got a call from 877-697-5766. telemarketers are the scum of the earth. 9:15 at night to find out who I am voting for.  Gloaltech is based in BC. here is some contact info. Don't know if it is the corrt place, but they do telemarketing, that's good enough for me to hate the idiots.
