This number has been calling me off and on for the past week. I want this harassment put to an abrupt stop effective immediately.
Kim 2011-06-06 21:04:47 Unknown
I been receiving these calls for the last week or so. They leave a voicemail, but it is only static....why leave a message if you're not going to say anything!

This is West Asset Management Company, they collect debts. The first thing they did was ask me to identify who I was, beginning with social security number. Are they crazy!! When I told them to tell me who they were first since they called me I was given a hard time. Turns out they got the wrong person anyhow. Collection companies have to send you written information first informing you of a debt so don't give out your information until they send you that written paper work.

Got the call, but I didn't answer. No message left........of course.

According to AT&T web site this is a scam - here's part of their blurb on it:
Do Not Call" List Scam ? Individuals claiming to be AT&T representatives who call to confirm participation in the national do-not-call list try to obtain your personal information for their own illegal use.
Ray 2010-01-31 20:02:32 Unknown
They call every night but I can't understand what they say. I don't want them to call any more.
Terry 2010-01-30 16:20:03 Unknown
Good tip! Now will see what happens between now and the next thirty days - "this process could take up to 30 days." THANKS! Check it out!

area code 877-737-399 a nuisance caller that may originate from an AT&T operational location. If true , then I would suspect that AT&T has a employee who has nothing else to do than harass AT&T customers across the country.I have decided to discontinue as an AT&T subscriber. This is unfortunate as I have been a subscriber for the past half century. Switching will be simple for me. I hope to discuss this experience with my new provider and ask for their assurance they will be more attentive to preventing repetative calls to their customers.

It is at&t to put you on a "do not call list" so you will not get any calls about promotions they are having. I called the number back and put myself on the list.
c 2010-01-09 00:08:35 Unknown
Why does it take 30 days to get a number removed from the call list? THEY ARE ATT!!! It only takes 5 seconds to add a number but 30 days to remove it....?
877-737-3999 2010-01-06 23:34:35 Unknown
It is ATT telemarketing. Call the number and follow the menu to be put on their DO NOT CALL list. A very simple solution to end the calls.

This is the AT&T do not specials number, they call to tell you about the new stuff available, then ask if you wish to be on the do not call list. They tell you the number you are calling from and if you press 1 they put you on the list. This is for AT&T customers I guess.

I just got a call from them 5 mins ago. It is Saturday. It is the day after Christmas. The 2-3 weekly pieces of junkmail are bad enough. Now they start calling...Are these people all a-holes?
britladym 2009-12-23 16:35:45 Unknown
called the number back, said was ATT told me my phone number and asked if I wanted to be added to do not call list pressed one for yes and then said my account could not be found and was passing me to a customer service op. I hung up at that point.
Jame 2009-12-23 02:29:42 Unknown
AT&T will NEVER get my business . EVER--- They are disgusting. Just hang up on these jerks
Mike 2009-12-21 21:26:16 Unknown
I call 877-737-3999 from a phone booth - a recorded response came back with Americalist and said to stay on the line for the next customer service person. I did not.
Have call over 20 time within the last month an a half
Bill 2009-12-17 00:18:25 Unknown
The caller calls and calls over and over.. When answered it says please hold for next available representative.. Then line goes ded
LauraK 2009-11-25 16:44:03 Unknown
EVERYONE: Call the number, press 1 for English. It then asks if you wish to be placed on the Do Not Call list. Press 1 for yes. It's tell you your phone number and ask if this is the correct number that you want on AT&T's Do Not Call list.
At the end, it says that it may take 30 days but....then it had better stop!!
carolyn 2009-11-19 17:27:18 Unknown
call everyday at least once for at least 2 months

Just wanted to share that if you call back the number you will get a prompt to be added to the do not call list for all AT & T correspondence. I did it, says it will take effect in 30 days, guess we'll see.

Like everyone else, calls at all hours, day and night, why do they think harassing people is good business?? I've never had any problems with ATT service so I don't really want to switch but my patience is running out.

Filed complaint with FTC on AT&T. If you have noticed off to the side, companies must have your written permission to call you, or they must stop calling.
I have not had this phone serivce in over a year, so they have no permission to call me.
I've told them 3 times to quit calling & take me off the list & they fail to do so. FTC says they must comply & they haven't.
So both cases warrents a claim against AT&T for repeted calling.
