Recieved a phone call from Adam Smith.  Had a very heavy accent.  I they are going to call me I feel I should be given a real name.  They claim to be a collection agency.  Would not provide me with any information,  My advice is to require them to send YOU documentation and to find out exactly who you
are dealing with so you can verity who you owe and that they are in fact Authorised to negotiate with
you on the behalf of someone else.

Yep, just started this month. Why can't these ppl get a real fricken job? Instead,of sitting around all day letting a computer dial dumbers for them? It sounds like a scam to me, and if it continues. They will pay dearly for their inconsideration as well their igornorance for pissing hundreds if not thousands of hard working ppl off.

If I'm really ever able to find out where one of these low lifes reside. It's time to collect some local dog feces, put it in a bag, ring their doorbell, set the bag on fire, drop it of course then walk away. Jeez enough already with all of the stupidity, need to get Conan O'brien involved with this. Right?

Ok,now back to going over some really good stamps that I stumbled upon in some older albums that a elderly man let me have for nothing. If I were to find some rather expensive ones, I will have to do the right thing and take them back to him. Right?

I only found out it was Pinnacle when I called the number back.  Each time I answered their phone call, no one was there.  When I called back I got referred to another person that didn't answer their phone, I got a voice mail!  What is the point!?  This is harassment!

I have no idea who they are either.  They call often (on my cell phone, no less) but when I answer all I hear is off and on electronic hiss.  This last time they called I kept trying to get somebody to speak.  After a minute of the off and on hiss I got a automated voice telling me, "sorry, no one is able to take your call" or something like that... then they tell me to call back at some other number.

Scam maybe?  I sure don't have anything in collections.

No comment no messages just calls all the time and hangs up or no answer when i answer.  They also call asking for a latino man and I am african america woman.  Who are they?

Well this number calls me 8 to 10 times a day and i have talked to them alot. Its someone wanting to get you to pay your bills. well i informed them that the person they wanted to talk to no longer lived here or at this number and they say " Sir, we know that you are so in so and to stop playing. It would be eaiser if you just paid us". I say " i am not that person i just moved here into this house."  They say " Sir, we know its you others have done this in the past. please just pay us or we will take the next step."   The next step was they with a police showed up at my door to get my money. Even had a court order to get it from me. 3 hours later after they see i am not that person they leave and say will well still call everyday 8 to 10 times a day till you let us talk to him. Well will talk to him one way or another.    How stupid are they there

Not sure who this number is but they call me at least 5 times per day. Its automated when you pick up and never gives you a real person so you can figure out what the hell they are calling for. Which they would stop calling might have to get my number changed.

The caller is Pinnacle Financial Group a debt collection company.

Calls every day more than once and sometimes twice with in an hour. Really annoying when I work late and my phone rings twice at 8am. then again at 12 then again at 4. what a pain in the a**. I never answer so why do they call me so freaking much I just want it to stop. If want to call try once a week. this everyday all day thing has to stop. They fill up my voice mail to the point that I don't even listen to my messages anymore I just delete them all. This number wastes min on my cell

This is actually second company who has harrassed us for a measley $123.00 for e-bay 3 years ago.  The first company, I.C. Systems was even worse with the calling, and we actually got documentation from them.  We had disputed this rediculous charge with e-bay for something we had sold on the site, and they were never up front about this charge until after we sold item, we told them we were not paying the charge, so they sent it on to collection agency.  When we got tired of the harrassment from I.C. Systems we thought it's not worth the trouble for $123.00 so we sent a payment in, and get this, it actually got sent back to us, because their particular office was not handeling that case anymore.  So after that I said this is rediculous we are not paying this joke of a bill, and the phone calls and documentation did eventually stop.  That was more than a year ago, then within the last week we started getting calls from this number 1-877-787-9673.  When my husband called back to find out who it was, we found out it was Pinnacle, and the guy was very rude to him.  My husband told him that we had already taken care of this disputed item and how did we know that these are honest people and he hung up on my husband, hahaha (did we touch a nerve)!  They will NOT be getting any money from us, and the real kicker is that it is nowhere on his credit report, so I can't figure out why they even bother for $123.00!!!

I have been receiving calls on my caller ID from 877-787-9673.  No one in our household has ever attended Kaplan college.  We do not have any debts that are involved with a collection of any type.  Prior to this phone number calling us, there was several calls from Barry University asking for someone that we never heard of.  I know they have the wrong number because I answered the phone once when Barry University called and I told them the person they asked for does not live at this residence.  Hence, they still keep calling....STUPID DEBT COLLECTORS....DUHHHHHHHH

They called me twice just now. Didn't leave a message the first time. I picked up the phone the second time they called, and there was no one there.

I never went to kaplan and have no student loan debt. I called back and the person who answers says "This is Linda..." Not hello or the company name.... I said I just missed a call from this number and she said let me transfer you to the right department, it paused and then dialtone.  They call all day everyday and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.... WTF!!!!

Does anyone know what other company Pinnacle may be calling for? I never went to Kaplan and my student loan from the school I did attend is just about paid off (never missed a payment, pay it early every month). My bills are all paid on time. I'm on the Do Not Call registry as well. I tried calling back with no answer at all. The phone just rang and rang. If anyone knows of any other company they could be calling for, please share. Thanks.

Have started receiving calls, too. Never been to Kaplan; far as I know, haven't talked to any reps from there, nor have signed up for wanting information through any websites I've visited either. IDK why or how I got on their list, but wanted to provide some info...

It may not be "Kaplan" who is trying to squeeze us for money - these people may be scammers claiming to be collection agencies who have bought old debt and are trying to collect debt you are no longer obligated for.  If you don't owe, I agree - don't pay, but don't just sit back and wait for the next phone call either...if you choose not to opt out, why not restrict their calls to your phone?  (I know, for some of us, that can be a very long list of restricted numbers, lol)
If it's on your credit (you should check) erroneously (you've paid it off, or never had it) you can contact the credit report companies and request that it be removed.  They'll contact Kaplan asking for proof; if it can't be provided, the credit reporters will remove it.
Maybe the daughter put the parent's name on an application for school...this doesn't explain why they'd be contacting the parent, if the parents signed nothing (loan papers, had to show tax forms, etc) for her to get in school.  If she didn't/wouldn't (even if someone else did) it's still harassment.
Calling neighbors!?!  How in the world would they know who your neighbors were, even if you DID have a school loan???  No help on that - wow!!!  But that's harassment, and should be reported to both the BBB and the opt-out line.

Just got a call from them today on my cell phone.  I don't answer 800 numbers I don't recognize.  Instead I come here to this site to check them out.  I'm unemployed, have past-due debts, and am trying to come up with the funds to pay a lawyer for bankruptcy.  He says number 1 thing I need to do is not to make any more payments on my debts.  So I follow his advice.  

On my cell, I have a "Reject Call" feature.  I have inputted this number into my Reject Call list.  Once the number is in this list, my phone no longer rings when they call because it rejects the call.  As for my home phone, I screen all my calls on it anyway, and never pick up unless I recognize the person on the other end.  Such is life nowadays.

I have no idea who these people are, when we answer the phone no-one is there and it usually happens about 5 times in a row.
