These people call constantly and also from a local number, 703-921-2258.  They refuse to identify themselves and leave recorded messages for "Rahna and Raheem,"  individuals of whom I have no knowledge.

I have had this business number for almost 2 years and have stated that to them on several occasions, but they continue to harass me several times weekly, interfering with my work and interrupting conversations with clients.

Joe Martinese called said my daughter was being served. it felt wrong said she should call cmp law  at 877-800-1268. he called on my business phone and cell phone. he keeps calling told him she does not live here.

This group of clowns won't even tell you what they are collecting for, So if I call you and threaten you and tell you that you owe me money you just pay me.  What a crock!

Dont give them a thing call bank put up red flags and file report. This is not a real company. They want you to pay them. I have no credit cards or loans and they tried to get me to pay them also. Its all a lie!! So to the one that said suck it up and pay it... I dont think so!!

Do not take anything I say as legal advise for your situation.  Simply stating what my situation was and what was said.

Had these clowns call me looking for a friend today.  Claimed he was a process server with the court house of Norcross county.  Even gave me a case number.  When I got home decided to look up Norcross county and found out it doesn't exist and is a town.  He also advised me, that they got my number (a cell) from the court records.  Furthermore, neither the city nor county where Norcross is located have a case number matching that claimed to exist.  

I found it funny that as I asked him questions, he was typing to look things up, rather than looking at a physical summons which he claimed he was attempting to serve.  I also found it interesting they gave me a toll free number, I highly doubt a court house would do such a thing.  

Because of the abnormalities, I then looked up the number and came across this place finding out it is a collection agency.  I promptly called them and after complaining was transfered to a the Manager/legal department.  I promptly proceeded to let him know I do not appreciate such lies and those kind of tactics (lying) is flat out illegal.  Surprisingly, the "legal department" was dumb enough to agree those tactics were illegal and assured he would trace which of his callers called my cell. I promptly advised him it may be in his best interest to remove my number from his system or I would proceed to take court action if this happens again.  He agreed it would be removed to prevent any further litigation.

Do not be afraid of these people know your rights and be aware of what tactics are legal.  90% of the time fools like this hang themselves with illegal tactics that may entitle you to money.

they calld my work they gave my boss this number with an extension 108 they said it was about an important legal matter hahahaha not realy They guy called said his name was "Robert Mann or Man " who knows they never give there real name he said he was authorized to do a background search on me i was like wow ok.. being nice to him to find out what the whole deal was about turns out when i was married my ex took out a credit card and left a ballance of about $200.00 and now it was up to $9000.00 and i should give him my bank account so he could settle the acount for 800 i was like no way then he said that he was going to refer this over to the sherrifs dept and that i should be served any day with a summons to go to court..and that i was going to be aressted and stuff like that i was ok go ahead i dont give a F@#$K!!! I knew he was full of Sh*t I work in EMS were i Live so i know All the Local P.D. Officers Sherrifs and have family on both of these depts. its a small town so i call my aunt who works in the sherrifs civil division which is responsible for this kind of thing and she laughd and said she would have given me a heads up for crap like this... well the problem is that Mr. Mann said he was going to get all of my boss's information well she took this as a personal threat and calld our ceo and they got lawyers involved we have yet to hear from mr Mann turns out he works for a company called ACM...i heard these guys are a bunch of do***e bags well any way thats my story

This company contacted my ex-step mother and told her that if I didn't get in touch with them THAT day that I would be facing mandatory jail time. They said that they had tried to issue a summons three times. I called the number back and they answered, "Corporate Office". That right there was a sure fire sign that this wasn't legitimate. Any reputable company will give you their company name upon calling. Furthermore, we were under the impression that a court date had been set, therefore if I didn't contact, it would show as a failure to appear. I called the county clerk for the courts and they had no information on this whatsoever.
These are illegal tactics and practices for a debt collection agency to use. I can't honestly tell you if the debts are real debts and the company just uses illegal practices, or if this is just a scam altogether. If they wish to take you to court, the courts will try and contact you.
I did not give the man on the phone any information, and after I told him that I'm seeking legal council before giving him ANY information, he quickly said, "Ok" and hung up the phone.
Be EXTREMELY wary of this company, they will use scare tactics and contact others - your job, relatives, etc. These people are sick and you need to stand strong against them.

My husband received a call this morning saying we were to be served today. We were attempting to give them our current address but the man on the other line said that he was not allowed to change the address. He wouldn't even tell us what it was regarding so we called the 877-800-1268 ext 102 that he gave us and they pressured us into settling out of court for half of the amount owed. We told them that we could only give them 150 now and we could have the rest by monday. They took our debit card information and we directly called sources and found out it was a potential scam. We directly went to the bank and froze our account along with changing out our debit card. We then called the company we owed money to and it turns out that we do have a debt with them but we are still unsure if we are getting served or not; but CMP (if it is a real company) does not have our account so either way this company is fraudulent.

We got a call saying that I was in contempt of court this morning, 11-11-09.  I returned the call and "Michael" who would give no last name said he worked for cmp in Santa ana, CA.   This is a completely illegal practice from an apparent debt collector. He told me that they record all calls for their protection. I bet they dont what with what I see posted here

just got the call this morning but turns out that they guy could not even give me an amount nor an address where the supposed warrant was going to be served.......

I got a call from an individual named Chris Smiley. He said he was from CMP and told me I had an outstanding debt owed. I told him my circumstances about my finances. He was very professional and courteous to my needs. I now pay a monthly payment and there were no threats or demands. Thank you for being helpful.

well here another persn that got the same phone call and threats. I been so nerous because just like you I owe 200 and now the bill up to 900 just like that. I also call the local police department and civil court and they told me they dont serve and summons you to go to court. good luck to all the future people who gets phone call from Frank.

i got a call from this number as well saying the same thing but with the name "frank",  stating he was from the law offices of CMP said we did owe a bill that was 2100.00 dollars and that we were going to be served at work, when i asked him to change tht to my house he said he was not allowed to do that and the only way to stop this was to pay it that night. We looked up this number and called local police aswell as the sherrif department and they said it was nto legal and they would know if they were attempting to serve us papers and that no legit company would demand payment that night. Once i spoke to Frank and told him i had called the local police about this he became very nice and started to thank me and call me maam.  Good luck to all who encounter him and stand firm

My husband received a call this morning from a private number saying that they would be serving us papers to appear in court regarding a past debt that has accumulated over $900.00. They gave us the 877-800-1268 ext 102 we talked to a gentleman named frank and he eventually got us to settle for 456.33 we only had 150 of that so we stupidly gave them our debit number and they stated that we needed the rest by monday. We immediatley called some sources and found out that it was a potential scam so we went directly to our bank and froze the account called the company we owed money to and we are currently in the process of investigating further to see if we are indeed getting served. I pray for anyone who receives this call. They feed off of the fear of people who have very little and alot to lose.
