VERY VERY RUDE, ACCUSING ME OF FALSE ALLEGATIONS

Online payadvances can't prosicute you for check fraud because all they have is a voided check and not an actual signed check for that reason they can't prosicute

I got a call from the Offices of Elizabeth Whitehurst 2 days ago and she can be reached at 866-964-8194 ext. 712. She states that she is located in Jacksonville, FL. She stated that I owed for a payday loan from 1/17/06 from platinum B services. I told her that I believe that this was included in my bankruptcy. She stated that it was a worthless check and was not dischargable in a bankruptcy and she is going forward with the charges against me. I asked her how much I owed and she stated that she would have to check with Platinum B services and get back to me.  I found the number to platinum b services and spoke to a representative , who checked with a supervisor and call me back to let me know that they believe that this is not one of there outside collection agencies and not to give her any information or verify any information and to contact my attorney.  I have tried to find a listing for her business with no listing being found. I even tried reverse telephone look up with no results.

This so called Woman called me this morning and also told me that I needed to get a lawyer or I was going to be prosecuted here in Iowa.  I asked her if she was a lawyer and she hung up on me.  I got the number 866-964-8194 and called her back and another woman answered. I asked her if this was a collection agency and she put me on hold.

Ok - the same thing just happened to me.  I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau.

I just got a call from this company an hour ago stating that I owe a payday loan that was taken out back in 2006.  I asked the lady why are they contacting me now about a debt from 3 yrs ago.  I explained to the lady that this debt was included in my bankruptcy.  She told me it doesn't matter.  I asked the lady to fax me the letter stating that this debt is outstanding so that I can past this along to my lawyer.  She told me she can not do that until the debt is paid in full. Wow...total scam to me!

Does anyone know where they are located?

i just received the same message about 10 minutes ago. Im not saying that this is a scam but she really needs to learn how to talk in a business manner.But from all these statements listed above this surely could be a scam. My cousin works for a payday loan company and she says they cannot do anything to you at all don't be worried.
but the Number she told me to call was 866-964-8194 ext.712 and was from the law offices of ELizabeth Whitehurst.

I Recevied a call from the law offices of Elizebeth Whitehurst today saying I needed to call back right away and she was very rude on the phone message she left saying good luck at the end of the phone message.  If anyone knows where to turn this person in at please let me know.

I got a call from a man at this number today.  His message was that I or my attorney need to contact him immediately.  I won't be returning this call!

I just called the number like a few seconds ago and it asks you to put in an extension.  The woman left an extension of x-718 when she called me.

I got a call from this number also and tried to return the call today and goa a recording "You do not have any credit goodbye" I could not even get to a person

Hi...I received a message from this woman who did not give her name but claimed to represent "The Offices of Elizabeth Whitehurst" like a few days ago on 1/22/2009 @ 2:34 PM (EST) it displayed on the caller id 877-800-8170 (NOT_AVAILABLE).  She left a message on my voicemail that my attorney or I needed to return the call today on a "serious matter"  but she did not specify on the voicemail what this "serious matter" was. She also indicated that I needed to return the call immediately like "today."  The message she left was very rude.  She needs to seriously learn some telephone etiquette.  

She left her direct telephone number 877-800-8170 Ext 718 but not name.

When I returned the call, she stated that I supposedly owe on a payday loan that was taken out in October 2004 in which the bank name had changed from name to another. She also tried to verify my email address and the last 4 of my social security number in which I did not confirm to this ill mannered woman.

I asked this woman what company was she calling for and she was condescending to me asking me do I not speak/understand English because I did not answer her questions.  She was talking like a mile a minute real fast.  She talked to me like (I was stupid and I told her that I am smart and am college graduate.  She told me that because I am college graduate that does not mean that I am not smart.  I told her that I am smart.

She got sarcastic with me so since you are so smart then she will put a warrant out for my arrest for alleged check fraud.  She cut the conversation short and abrupt stating to me "have a nice day" and abruptly hung up on me.

I blocked this woman's telephone number.   I have tried to search for the company on various websites using the telephone number reverse search but no results.  I even tried the bbb.org website and received no information what whatsoever.  I  am believe that company is a scam.  

I have never received any written documentation indicating that I allegedly owe on this payday loan taken back in October 2004.

If you are a legitimate place of business why wouldn't you give your company name and your name for that matter.

I will be reporting this "so called company" to the Attorney General and the bbb.org. That is uncalled to make such threats on the telephone.

I have no idea where this "supposed" company is located like what state or type of location which is very strange to me.

Elizabeth Whitehurst called to try to get money for a debt she claimed I owed.  She didnt give too much information but that I needed to pay today or she would forward it over to my former states proscuter.  When I requested she send me the allegations, she refused and said she would be forwarding it over to my former state.
