Have gotten several calls about my computer and how it sent messages about errors they received--caller ID said number was unavailable or was only 5 digits (01931)...same as others, "Robert" had a heavy accent.  Went to teamviewer, controlled my computer, showed me what was "wrong", ...unfortunately,  I had been having issues with my pc, but when he gave me the 877-805-6353 number and showed me the V2 website, he continued with the sales pitch,  my husband googled it on his phone and we saw it was a scam!  We are taking it into a legitimate computer shop to be fixed now!  Don't fall for this!  Luckily,  we didn't pay anything,  but some malware could be there!

V2 Server called me this morning saying they were certified Microsoft techs. and had me go to ammyy.com and/or teamwriter.com and told me that my server was sending messages to them about my computert being infected with malicioous malware and that they needed to fix it. I stupid as I was gave them remote access and he showed me all these error messages they had been receiving, some when I had my computer shiut off. He said every computer that had used my WIFI was infected and that I could purchase a 3 year repair plain for $300. Unemployed as I am and going to school I couldn't afford it so called HP for help as this similiar even happened last year.. Now I have to pay an HP tech to come fix all my stuff, desktop, ipad and 3laptops. It sounded legit but he would not telll me which server provided to warnings just that I had all these error messages. My computer was running slow and funny believed him till he wanted big money. Do youself a favor and just hang up on them. Don't believe them they are slick nd used  a lot of weasel commdents to get to you

Got a call from someone with a heavy accent shortly after I connected to the internet.  The woman told me she was calling because my computer was sending them messages that there were viruses. I am always cautious on this things, but listened a little because it seemed odd they'd call right after I signed on.  I asked which computer I had on, if she was getting messages and she said 'the one that is connected to the internet'.  I decided I'd leave this to my computer geek husband and got the number they were using.  We can run our own repair programs, thank you.

The scammer turned off your anti-malware program.  You need to get that turned back on.  And you need check to see if he installed anything and have that removed.

If you have banking information on your computer he has it, too.  Contact your bank to get the accounts closed.

My neighbor fell for the scam, too.

I received a phone call from this number today. The man said he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending him alerts that it had errors. I stupidly gave him access to my computer but watched what he did. I was unsure if Microsoft actually ever called people. After he tried to sell me new windows media off amazon, I told him I will not be purchasing anything. He then turned on my webcam on my computer which I demanded he turn off immediately and when he didn't, I turned it off. He immediately told me not to touch my computer and after babbling some other words I couldn't understand, he hung up without saying goodbye, still having access to my computer. He then (not longer on the phone with me, but still accessing my computer) turned my webcam  BACK ON and I immediately closed out of what was allowing him access and shut down my computer. I had to call my computer tech to find out what to do. I'm not sure if he got any banking or personal info yet. But so far everything is okay.

I'm wondering if anyone has actually had any money stolen or any fraud of any type.

The company V2Serv called my home today absolutely saying initialy that they were working with Microsoft, that my computer running a windows based platform was generating a lot of error logs being sent to them, that I Am in infected with spyware, trogan... and that I needed to follow the directions they were offerring to fix the problem. After having me left and right click on various system properties enabling th ability to see the genrated events, still stressing they worked with mircrosoft.... I got quite suspicious, inquired further telling him what antispyware , anitviarl programs I ue, that I was using Mircrosofts own esentials and was not haivng computer problems. At some point upon questioning him ( Calvin supposedly) he said they worked with Microft, n ot for and were microsft certified technichians there to help me and offered a warranty service.   These guys are going to scare and take a lot of money form innocent people. I very much hope that they are looked into, I am not a very trusting person and am aware of fishing scams and even I thought this call initialy had merit. Everyone be warned, it's b.s and flat wrong!

Turn it off and take it to a local shop to have the malware cleaned off it.  Change all your bank account numbers and change all your passwords from a different computer.

Scammer from v2serve.com just called. Per www.whois.com, the registrar for this website is in New Delhi, India. The scammer pronounced Missouri as "Misery" and did not know who the most famous former resident of Independence, MO is. The reference in another post to a "91..." is interesting - 91 = India's country code.

I got the same call today, so it looks like they are calling again.  I hate to say it, but once they have control of your computer, they can always get control of it.  You need to change your network passwords and update your firewall as well.  This has to be a scam to get your personal information on your computer.

I got a call from them also. They were nice but I stopped them too. Called them back this am and told them they were a marketing company and I was on the do not call list and they have already been reported by me. Claimed they didn't represent Microsoft but the caller said he was from Microsoft Technical support which he is not and the other gentleman clarified that this morning. While they may be reputable (I don't know that for sure) they are still a marketing company calling potential customers but need to purchase a Do Not Call List so they are not calling the wrong people. Me.

I received a phone call today from Mark.  He said he was from V2serve.  He informed me that my computer was sending out messages to them and he would help me fix the problem.  I asked him to call me back, and  I checked with the company that i bought my computer, they said it was a scam.  He called me back and I again told him I was too busy at the time to fix this.  He gave me his number and name and I am to call him back tomorrow. Again his name is Mark, at number 877-805-6353. The name showed up on my phone as v2servetech, unknown number.

I received a call today from a Patrick with V2Serve who mentioned Microsoft and said they are receiving a lot of error messages from my computer. I don't remember if he said he was with Microsoft or is Microsoft Certified.  In any event, I asked for the phone number - he gave me 877/805-6353 and website www.v2serve.com.

I am not calling him back.  I was not at all comfortable with them calling me on my cell and having a number that only showed as 91570, not a 10 digit phone number.

Microsoft called me and told me my computer was sending them error reports. They got into my computer with my permission, which I think was a mistake on my part. When they told me they could fix the problems for $150.00 and it would take 3 hours, I started to think this might be a scam. he gave me is name and phone number---Dwight, 877-805-6353. He called me on July,16 saturday and said I could call him back, if I wanted him to fix the problems.

On my caller ID the number was unavailable, but it had only 5 numbers.

This to inform all, that though V2Serve do cold calling as like other IT/Tech Support companies, However Neither anybody in our organization says they are Microsoft or linked with Microsoft Nor they are authorized to say so, As they are "Certified Microsoft System Engineers" trained professionally in Microsoft systems to fix the problems, but that does not makes any link with Microsoft, There are few Scammers who do this & using our company's name, as because V2Serve is a registered "Incorporated" & 100% Legitimate business. It seems like some Scammers are trying to do scam using our company's name, as because if V2Serve calls anybody they call from their phone number which is easy to get back to & always flashes on everyone's caller id i.e. starting from 281-668 which is of Houston TX in USA, 020-8144 of London in UK & 075-660 of Queensland in AUSTRALIA, As we do not fool around people by saying "We do not cold call" & at the back stage getting the telemarketing done from India/Philippines or some other country, Because we say what we do & we do what we say. More over you can always call the person back on this number before you do anything over the phone just to make sure/double check whether its not a scam. We never call from unknown numbers, since we are a registered business, Else we would not be having hundreds of satisfied customers & More over there is no survival in market, which is very logical to understand.

Hence we request you to kindly beware of Scammers who calls from unknown numbers & using our company's website v2serve.com, as if we make a search on Google by the name of V2Serve, we will get more companies using the same name & they are not even registered, which clearly indicates the scam.

We hope our this message will reach to those scammers & they will stop these scams, as our research department have already started tracing these scammers, In other words its a warning for them, Either stop all this or be ready to get busted.

Regards,
