I have received several calls using this number - at least one was dialed from 678 468 6009 asking me to call this 877 number

I received a text from 203.308.9831 asking me to call 877.8306774 for my free gift card.  Obviously this is a scam of some sort.

Hey there, I read your post an I see it was dated back in February, I am curious, did you receive the shipment you paid for? Or a refund?

call for two 50.00 gift cards

I got a text saying I won a gift card and so call this number. and reply with STOP to stop the texts. I'll tell you right now I did NOT reply since that just verifies that my number exists. I blocked the number now so hopefully it won't bother me anymore.

They hung up on me when I told them I had a bug on my left Nut!....they were no fun!

keep getting texts from this number (203-308-9831) with requests to call 877-830-6774.   I am on the National No-call list, and have texted STOP to them, but continue to receive both.

hey olz you got the same one i got 2 nights ago im glad i tried to do a reverse # lookup up tonight and run into this and seen yours with the same ID# 170.....wow really ....like i said SCAM!! how can 2 ppl have the same exact text including the ID# so im sure more ppl also have that same exact text as well..i sure hope the dont fall for the BS!

i got a random text saying, we want to thank you call us back at 877-830-6774 for your gift cards with an ID# 170 .... i had to stop in my tracks and knowing i didnt not apply for anything i called this number back to find this woman answers the phone give me your name so i replied whats the name of your company and why did i get a text from 619-632-2531(which is a t-mobile #) saying to call your # who are you? she again asked my name and i then asked for the name of her company and then she hung up. i never told her mine nor did i ever get a name....SCAM!! i dont fall for much.....lol

Just got two text in the last 10 mins..... pretty much says what everyone else has said.  It says,"We want to Thank You Call us at  877 830-6774..... For Your Gift Cards Gift ID 170... then it says, Txt Stop to Remove...so I did, twice.  We'll see if they get it.  It's obviously a scam.  No a days you have to consider all of those things a scan.  Remember, you don't get anything like that for free.

Hopefully, that's the end of that.

Got the same message as everyone else.
My luggage was stolen from Honolulu, which is where the text originated from. Little frustrating- cant get my stuff back but now someone has my number... Which was on all of my belongings. Wonderful.

This number has texted me 15 times in the last 20 minutes.

 800NOTES.COM.  HAS A NUMEROUS LIST OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT 435-256-6654, SAYING THAT THEY GOT A 24-HOUR BANKING RECORDED MESSAGE TRYING TO RECEIVE THEIR BANK CARD NUMBERS AND OTHER INFORMATION TO STEAL THEIR IDENTITY AND THEIR MONEY.  THIS IS THE SAME INFORMATION THAT THIS ACHIEVE IS NOW ASKING FOR THROUGH A MULTITUDE OF DIFFERENT ACCESSES!
 800NOTES.COM.  HAS A NUMEROUS LIST OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT 877-830-6774, SAYING THAT THEY ARE OFFERING DIFFERENT REWARD AMOUNTS FOR DIFFERENT PLACES IF YOU ONLY GIVE THEM YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, AND DEBIT/CREDIT CARD INFO TO COVER THE SHIPPING CHARGES!  THEY ARE ALSO COMPLAINING OF BEING CONSTANTLY HARASSED!

I just got a text from 775-200-3494 saying "We Want to Thank You Call us at 877-830-6774 For your 100 Dollar Gift Card." I knew it was shady right away. I did some backgroud checks on the 877 number about found it's based out of Reno.

I texted them back and said, "I'm gonna find you & murder your a** for annoying me cuz I'm unemployed & have nothing better to do. (for the record, I was kidding, but don't tell them).

Total scam!!! Didn't both doing anything. Just wanted to let everyone know.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. I got a text saying I won 100.00 Gift Card and to call 877-830-6774. after being on hold 10 minutes they finally answered and asked for my 1st and last name, I said who is this? and they hung up!

Got the text message, but Googled the phone number. It makes me mad that these people can send a text that costs me money to receive. My phone will block calls, but doesn't seem to have a way to block text messages. I guarantee my next phone will have that feature.

Just got saved by a whisker. I had called the number and was about to fall for them though I was a bit skeptical. But my intuition said something is fishy, and I listened to it and hung up. And now immediately googled it to find this. Phew saved a lot of dollars they could do anything with the card information.

*Seeing the message I was suspicious, because it doesn't mention any company name.
*Secondly, when I called his accent was like put up and he started off like. "Hello.. Please give me your first name and last name..." I was like wtf who starts like that...

Its a fraud stay away. I wish they end up in jail.

Randomly received a text for winning a free 100 gift card, thanks to this blog I have blacklisted them on my smart phone. If it's too good to be true, it almost always is. Thanks for all the postings.

Ditto, called number back from a blocked landline and they hung up the second I started questioning them. They are looking for easy targets be careful!

we both got that same message for 100 dollar gift cards with gift card   gift id 460 on sat 2-19 about one half hour apart. really thought it was  strange cause didnt get who was thankin for what. said it was from  3058349118
