Received a text from 727-238-1898, thanking me for what I dont know. Said to call 877-834-1586. I called, asked what this was for, they hung up on me 5 times. Finally reached a guy who said it was for taking a survey,(I dont take surveys),I screamed and cursed then hung up.

Got calls from the number.

I have received a call from 336-308-3100 he talked really fast about me receiving a 100 dollar rebate for some facial cream that i know i didnt order... can anyone tell me who this is...       they have my card number

This same exact thing actually just happened to me, Did the "Don't Call Me" list work? And did they charge your credit card?

I just got a message from 404-643-2411 And it says "We wanted to say Thanks Call us at 877-834-1586
For your Two 50 dollar gift cards Gift ID 22 Txt stop to remove" I didn't text or call I don't know what it would do.

I am starting to think these scammers are using the NO CALL list for their contacts. These clowns no doubt have, or can get access to the actual no call data in some way.

I suspect this no call fiasco is going to turn out to be worthless. It only applies to a real company doing legal business.

No crook or scammer is going to pay attention to who is on the no call list.
I am thinking about taking my phones off of the NO CALL list.
I would bet I might start getting less of these scam calls.

I am on every NO Call List that's ever been published, for all the good it does.  I just got this "Thank You" text from 877-834-1586.  It says it is a Thank You "For your Two 50".  I have no idea what this is about and don't WANT to know.  I just want to be OFF this list!!!

I rec's the same message at 11:15 at night..I did call the opt out of marketing.. I also reported them to donotcall.gov

I got a text from them today thanking me and wanting to send me 2 $50 gift certificates.  I called and said that the gift cards were in response to a survey i filled out.  I have never filled out a survey for any stores before.  They said they would send me the gift cards for a "one-time fee of $1.95".  They wanted my address of course to mail the certificates and my credit card information to pay the fee.  I did not give them the information they wanted and she just kept repeating the same thing.  I eventually just hung up on them but then i received another phone call on my cell phone this afternoon from an area code in Washington D.C. - the text came from a Maryland area code. I don't know if they are connected or not, but i am concerned.

Same here. I just received a text from them today. I too, am on the do not call list and I haven't signed up for anything either offline, online, or through the mail. Just remember this, if it says free and then they want you to pay, then obvisiously it isn't free. Just text "stop" back to them. If it still continues then report it to the FCC or Do Not Call.

I too received a text from 239-628-0639, Ft. Meyers, FL, on Mar. 5, at 1:01 PM. "We want to thank you" was the message, and they gave the 877 number to call. I did not waste my time, and luckily, I didn't. Not sure what is was about, don't really care.

I just received a text message on my cell phone this morning from +1 (480) 570-9018 that read "We Want to Thank You.  Call us at 877-834-1586.  For your Gift Cards Gift ID 200.  Tx Stop to Remove."

I don't know what this is or who it's from.  I just looked this up and based upon what others have said, I don't really want to call them or text stop as I'm afraid it may just keep the problem going. I think I'll see if I can block both numbers above if I can.  I also am on the DO NOT CALL list...

I just got this same text message and after reading all these posts I decided to call the "877" number and screw around with them.  After I called about 10-times and being a pain-in-the-a*** ... they stopped answering my calls.

Basically I "supposedly" completed some on-line survey and as a Thank You they wanted to give me a gift card/voucher for Target or local restaurant ... no idea how much it was worth ... but I had to pay $1.95 for processing (or shipping and handling depending on who I spoke to).

I'm not trying to profile the company but everyone I spoke to sounded Indian ...

I have gotten the "We want to Thank You" message as well - I was wondering if it had anything to do with Tracfone since the number they are calling is a prepaid number.  I too have home and this number on a do not call list.

I got the same text message, but the text message was not from the same number that it said to call. I wonder, has anyone tried calling the number that texted them? (instead of the number that it said to call) Maybe you can get more information out of the person who's hiding behind their cell phone and texting people than from the person who's sitting at a desk with a headset on waiting for you to call them...

I too received a text message thanking me for my donation of 100.00 - I called the number and asked what the business is and the person immediately hung up!!! How to expose these scams? Are they harmless or can they actually do damage?

I received a text message thanking me for my donation of 100.00. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST! . What part of that don't they understand.

I  recived this message and resent the time from my minutes. I has called the no call list but obviously it doesn't work. Scary, we have no privacy and no recourse to these sharks.

Updated Information:

After receiving several unsolicited text messages to my cell phone, I called the # provided, which was (877) 834-1586.  When I asked to speak to a supervisor the woman who answered tried to tell me they were too busy to transfer me.  After getting verbally aggressive and threatening to sue her and her company she finally provided me with another number to call.  That number was (877) 207-1584.

Although I got a voicemail, it did offer the option to be put on their 'Do Not Call' List within 24 hours.  I hope this works.

I have gotten a couple of unsolicited text messages from this #.  When I finally called them, in hopes of getting them to delete my number from their records, the woman who answered refused to identify her company's name.  The text message I keep getting is that they want to 'Thank Me'.  Following my call to this bimbo, I got another text message trying to sell me laptop supplies, and it gave LapTop55.com as the contact.  When I tried to find them on the internet to see who they are and to get them to delete my cell phone number from their records, I was unsuccessful.  

If anyone has a contact name and number that I can call to get these marketers to stop calling and texting me I would appreciate it.  Both my home and cell #s are on DO NOT CALL lists.  Apparently, THAT is not working.
