This number called my house FIFTEEN times in three days. Completely unacceptable. Always during the day when I'm gone, and they never leave a message. I've seen posts that this number calls if you don't pay your mortgage by the first, but mines paid and this number is still calling.

They have been calling 8 times so far today.  They do not leave a message.  caller ID shows 800 Service.  I did call back and they told me I needed to pay my mortgage- wait I checked my checking account which is also with US Bank to find that my payment had long ago been transmitted just a transfer from 1 account to another-The guy I spoke to said they must not have updated their system-

These people are truly insane.  The worst part is that they are calling for someone who does not have this number -- and when I tried to explain that the person they are looking for are not at this number -- they flat out don't care.  When I told the very rude rep who called that they call me several times a day and to please remove the number from their file for this person - she said I've never called before and began to argue with me about it.  It is astonishing to me that this can happen - I'm getting debt collection calls from someone who doesn't even have the number -- and they could care less.  It's beyond frustrating and I hae no idea how to get them to stop calling.  THANK GOD for caller ID -- and they call from all kinds of various numbers too.

This is not US Bank's number anymore. The man I spoke to said it was a marketing service and wanted to talk to who was in charge of our website.

This happened to me yesterday.  It is an outrage and I told them so.  I refused to give out the last four digits of my SSN to the demanding caller claiming to be from US Bank, hung up,  and called the number on my US Bank mortgage statement.  The customer service agent there was friendly and helpful, and verified that the call from the 877 number was a legitimate call from US Bank.  We patched over to the 877 number where "Leticia" in the Collections department took the call.  She was rude and unprofessional, and lectured me that any payment after the 1st was "late" just like one would be late for work even if one's employer allowed a 15-minute grace period.  I changed the date for my auto-pay from the the 6th to the 1st and hope to avoid this hassle forevermore, but it is a truly galling practice they are engaged in, and smacks of desperation.

Unfortunately, I have a rather large jumbo mortgage through US Bank. Whilst I maintain an exceptional credit rating and have never been late with a payment, they pester me each month. Like clockwork, beginning on the 1st, they begin calling as a "courtesy reminder" though the due date is not until the 15th. Even after you have spoken to them, thanking them or after informing them you are well aware of the due date and offer assurance payment will be made in time, they will continue calling, everyday, several times a day.

What their behaviour most usually signifies is a bank which is undergoing extreme financial turmoil, which is understandable given the trepidus condition of this economy over the last three years. I speculate US Bank will be taken over by the examiners or going into receivership before too much longer.

calls many times a day, never leaves a message, just hangs up, when the call is picked up there is noting but dead space.

In SC such activity is a criminal offense, the law specifically addresses holding managers of those making the calls criminally accountable. If your receiving these calls and your in SC I would suggest filing a formally complaint with authorities. If they get enough pressure from law enforcement US BANK may change their horrible tactics.

Ironically the calls are about a mortgage that has always been paid on time.

Got the call from the number twice on Sat. withing just a few minutes of each other.  She said she was from US BANK and knew my name.  Ask for last four of my social to "VERIFY" my account - to which I informed her I was not comfortable with giving out that information and that I would contact my bank.  She said OK and she would call me back at a later time.

I have a friend who works at US Bank - she says it is a scam and not to give any information that US Bank will NEVER call to verify an account or get a social number.

I agree they are the worse bank to deal with husband out of work 21/2 years when everything went bad tried loan modification said we made too much money unemployment $200 a week and we make too much money three times same thing won't change due date nothing won't work with you.
Our credit not the best after unemployment problem husband had to take $7 an hour cut in pay to get job interest 93/4 still won't work with you. Think twice before doing business with them!!!!

US Bank hounds me every month, beginning on the 1st.  I've paid my mortgage for DECADES without ever being late, and then about 10 years ago they started making these extremely annoying phone calls.  I don't know why they think I need to be reminded to pay my mortgage every month.  And their standard argument, about which I beg to differ, is that it's DUE on the first.  I always tell them they'll have it before the 16th, and their standard response is that it's LATE after the first of the month.  I no longer answer their calls, and I refuse to pay it on the first.  When I WAS answering their calls, they would always try to hound me into paying over the phone right then and there, for which they charge $10.  Even when I would tell them that I'd either mail it or pay in online before the 16th, they STILL would try to harass me into paying it on the spot.  I absolutely hate these people!!!!!

If you have an account with US Bank and they attempt to collect their debt from you, they are not subject to the FDCPA.  Only 3rd party collectors are subject to the law.

I've missed 6 calls within 4 days from (877) 848-6989.  I never answer cell numbers I don't recognize.  Today I caught it ringing and answered it.  A man identifying himself as a representative of US Bank, mentioned my address and then said that in order to continue his business with me, he needed me to verify the last four digits of my social security number.  This instantly upsets me when people call me and start asking me for my personal information, so I told him that if he WAS with USBank, he would already know my information, because I don't give out my personal information to incoming callers that I can't identify.  Apparently, this reply instantly upsets him because he became very rude asking me just what I thought he could do with my social security number?  He yelled that he would just mark a refusal and keep calling me.  I told him to have a ball!  btw, I've done business with USBank for many years and when they have had any questions or problems with me in the past, they always left a message asking me to return the call.

I'll add my extreme dissatisfaction with the overly rude and harrassing US Bank. I have had my mortgages with them (unfortunately) for 6 years after US Bank bought them. I get paid my government retirement on the 1st every month and my payment gets to them on the 4th every month, just like clockwork. My payment is on the 26th of the prior month so the payment arrives well within the grace period. I have explained to exhaustion that there is nothing I can do, and I'm not paying a large chunk of money to change my due dates. Once a very condescending guy tried to explain it to me this way: "Let's say I owe you money, wouldn't you want ME to pay YOU on time?". I hung up and will not answer the phone anymore. What makes it even MORE irritating is that I have 2 mortgages so I get 2 calls spaced about 3 minutes apart. You don't think ONE call would work for both mortgages?? I can't believe ANY legitimate "customer" would have ANYTHING positive to say about these jackwagons....
