A woman who called herself Holly phoned and told me that, for a single payment of just $10 (plus $2.50 processing fee), I could receive the San Diego Union-Tribune, daily and Sundays, for an entire year.  When she asked for my credit card number, I told her that I would only pay by check, sent via USPS.  She then told me that they weren't set up to receive payments by mail.  When I told her I would prefer to think about her offer and call her back later, she said she could be reached at 877-869-8979.

I'm not going to call her back.  Not only does the offer sound too good to be true, the fact that she asked for my credit card number over the phone makes me wary.

I received a message on my work phone.  She said my first name and then proceeded to tell me that they would start delivery on Sunday of coupons and special products that would help me with my shopping each Sunday.  If I didn't want to receive these items to call the 877 phone number.  She didn't say her name or the company's name.  I really ought to let them try and deliver something to my office.  I work in a highrise and you cannot get up on the floors.  Then when they try to charge me for it - well, we will see if that will stand up in court as I have not signed anything.  Don't even know the company's name.  A new way of getting though to talk to someone!

One more thing, she said she was in Phenix AZ

My phone rang, the caller ID appeared to be a local caller  our area code is 269 but 15 miles away (or so) the area code is 616. Anyway, the caller ID number that came up was 616-371-1451. She said her name was Delrena. She was selling the "Kalamazoo Gazzette" for $14.99 a month, delivered on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday and that If I gave her my card information now I'd receive a $20.00 gift card to a store of my choice. When I told her I'd need to call her back after I did some research she told me I could call her back at 877-869-8979, extension 1530.
