I got a text from online@sc-bank.com stating " Your Southern Commerce Bank Card 490426XXXXXXXXXX has been deactivated. To activate call 3122241636..

I received the text on June 9th stating "Your Southern Commerce Bank 490426XXXXXXXXXX has been deactivated. To activate call 3232017000."

Never had an account with this bank and it's obviously a scam that keeps changing.  I'm happy for this website to calm my fears that someone stole my identity.

june 4th scam is still running someone needs to track these people down keep them on the line long enuff to trace than nab them tax dollars at work come on!

I received the exact same text approximately 2 minutes ago (14:50 EST). Wonder who they bought our number from???

They were ready for it to be suspended, I just received a text directing me to www.scactivatecard.com.

I don't have and never have had accounts with this bank. Other people on here have gotten this text as well, so it's a scam!!!!

Here is the message I sent to the abuse department of Southern Commerce Bank (report-abuse@sc-bank.net) and to Melbourne IT (abuse@melbourneit.com.au). Feel free to use this and edit it according to your circumstances to report the crap out of this scam!!!

The email address they used to text me was online@sc-bank.com. I am sending this to Southern Commerce Bank's abuse reporting department as well as contacting the Melbourne IT's abuse reporting department. Maybe Southern Commerce has additional complaints they'd like to discuss with you.

I got the same text message about the deactivated card just 10 minutes ago as well. Who do you report a spam/phishing web domain to? I looked up their whois lookup and found the web domain was registered today through Melbourne IT with dummy info about it being through Yahoo! Inc. and in Sunnyvale CA.

I found the report abuse email for the registrar, Melbourne IT:

Please email them about the scommerceactivate.com web domain and it's scammy phishy activities!

I got the same message from Southern Commerce Bank but it had a differn't phone number 8888684364 saying that they are going to cancell our credit card only we do not have a credit card.

I got a text message last night at 9:25pm and so did the other two users on my cell account. Says,

I did not respond to this because it is not familiar to me at all. I imagine it is some type of fraud thing.... or else someone messed up.

My entire family got the following  message from SOUTHERNCOMMERCE@SCBANK.NET  on their cell phones. A total of 6 phones were hit with the same message.  Another butt head trying to steal identities. Hope they find them and have a good old public lynching!!! No more slap on the wrists !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

received text msg from itoilk@messaging.sprintpcs.com saying Merchants national has suspended your 4423-24xx-xxxx-xxxx debit card.  Contact us immediately at 877-880-8862.  whatever.  there has got to be some way to stop this crap from happening.  I get about one a day from various address and phone numbers.

My husband just got the same text and he freaked out thinking it was real.  It said Commerce Bank..I called and it said to type in your credit card #!!! What a SCAM!
