BEWARE!!! Called late at night, claiming they had taken too much money out of my bank account, then asking for bank information to make refund. BEWARE!!!!!

Recieved a call from this number stating that a check had bounced that I deposited. They wanted my account number to proceed so I hung up. Caller was Melinda at ex 1106.  This number is used to call them back.  They called me from 606-546-1004

Got a call from this number to me as Treasurer as a PTO; they left me a message at the school saying that a check had bounced and they could help me.  Didn't know it was fake.  Tried calling but no answer.  Then I googled.  Glad I did.  Name of person who called is Rebecca.

Received a call from someone identifying herself as "Estefy" and told me that they were partnering with US Bank to offer a service to customers as part of the Federal Automated Recovery System and that we had a returned check and they were offering a free service to assist in it's collection.  When I asked the amount of the check that had been returned she said she would need to verify the last four digits of our bank account before disclosing any information on the check.  We are a small non-profit and in the 27 years I've worked here there have been maybe four occasions when a donor check has bounced. I told her we were not interested in their service.  I intend to call our bank to see if indeed we have had a check bounce.  The normal process would be that the bank would just send us the check back and withdraw the funds from our account. this sounds very suspicious to me.
