For the last two weeks I have been receiving threatening phone calls from 18779264233 also from someone who says he's the locator and I have been served and he just need a address to give me the papers or I could meet him some where.  They have even called my in-laws getting them upset that I am being charged with fraud and they need my information.  I told the caller if I was being served by the courts they should have my address and other information I also told him to come on out and I will have the local sheriff department waiting when he gets here, he hung up.  They have been calleing my job leaving nasty messages.  Is there any way we could get this to stop?

I'm assuming everyone who is receiving calls is probably getting them from a number with a familiar area code. Mine was my area code..probably a spoofed number. Def some type of scam

Rcvd a call fronm 804-991-4193 and some lady was asking for someone I don't know. She then stated that she knows she has the right number because she verified the cell phn billing address and that my cell phone was in the persons name. I told her AGAIN, that she has the wrong number and to stop caling my phone. She then said so if I come out to the address you won't be there? At this point I was pissed bc I had already told her 3 times that she had the wrong number. So I sd I ddnt know what address she was refrring to but if she showed up at my door I would have something waiting for her. She replied that she didnt have time for games and she will "do it herself", whatever that meant. Whoever this company is, they certainly break the laws of debt collecting. I should have asked her for the address, that would have definitely been a violation. Maybe i could find the person she is looking for so they can press charges against them for giving out their personal info and get paid by hoever these a***oles are!!

I recieved a call from a man first on my cell by the name of John Fisher asking me to call 877-923-4233. Then the next day he calls my place of employment and left me a very unprofessional message with a claim number saying he has charges against me and that I've been served and the same exact message was left on my coworkers phone. The law was broken right there as the man gave her info on me that's against the law. I call the 800 number and spoke to a lady from Nationwide she has the incorrect spelling of my name inaccurate ssn, address and dob. So she said she will have the John Fisher person stop the calls however it continued I called her back (Jennifer) and told her to cease all calls to me but Mr  Fisher called yet again saying he would be at my job. And that he called the HR dept where I work to obtain info on me that's where he messed up HR doesn't give out any personal info to random callers it's against the law and a Hippa Violation. So that's when I knew this is their scare tactic so I was advised by my supervisor to alert our Security n Safety Dept In which I did and they put a trace on my phone ext so John Fisher number (443)407-4383 and Nationwide is under trace and I've contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint with this company. So everyone who has gotten these harassing calls no worries these scam artists are under investigation. You see I'm  the daughter of a lawyer and detective so they definently harassed the wrong person. When I told them i was not that person they should have took heed now they are being investigated.

Call from a (414)375-2603 number and left a mess on my phone saying I had one chance to settle the matter  they are trying to reachme to serve me at my house or at my job and gave me a case number. In the end a female  loadly said you have been served and to return the call at 18779264233

kept getting calls from a haughton number 318-3901736. but called and would go to a recording saying this call cant go to  further investagation.  i got the call again and talked to a man and said he was trying to reach my son. That he has gotten into some trouble and to call this 877-926-4233 and gave a docket
number and i have called it back and it tells me the same thing about some investgation cant go any futher.

This is a scam. They called my office trying to get me to pay on an old debt from 2006 that I had no recollection of. I advised I would not pay without documentation of the debt to prove that it was mine. They then called back saying they are serving papers to appear and will be here in 10 minutes. I invited them to show up but guess what.....they never did!  

Do NOT give them any money! IT IS A SCAM!

I received a similar call from a Ray Bishop. He identified himself  (3 times) as a private detective in Boston contracted by a company called Nationwide 877-926-4233. I asked him for his license number registered with the state of Massachusetts to be a P.I. He rudely told me he does not need one. After the call I contacted the Criminal Justice Dept and State Police Headquarters for MA. He absolutely needs a license and is not on the states certified list. The State Police told me he is not allowed to conduct business in Massachusetts as a P.I. I then called Nationwide. They say they are in CA and would not give me the address other than to say California. I also asked for their business entity number registered with Sec of State and the name of the company president or CEO. They said they didnt have or know that info. Who doesnt know the pres or CEO's name of the company they work for?? When I looked up the company name on the S.O.S. website there is no Nationwide licensed to legally conduct business. These people called my place of employment and left a message not only with me but with the secretary stating they are coming to serve me with papers and will be calling back later to speak with my Human Resources Department. The number they used to call me from was 8037124818, so I called it back and it told me to call 8779264233 and left a claim number. After doing some research, I found out the company that was calling was Nationwide regarding an unpaid online loan. I also found out that this same company in 2008 had to pay out $2.25 million dollars to the FTC (http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/11/academy.shtm) for their abuse of collection practices. I will be calling the FTC today to file a complaint against them because apparently they did not learn their lesson. I would suggest anyone else do the same.

this is how stupid they are, they called my house saying it was a cell number they had under investigation.

Someone called from 510.227.6656 asking if I knew my husband, who's name I won't put here.  I asked them what it was about and at first, she wouldn't answer my question. Then she said she called my husband's job (this woman still didn't know I'm his wife) and they wouldn't confirm employment. I again asked what this was regarding. She asked for a contact number. I said I can't give you a number but I can get a message to him (still not telling her that I'm his wife and how the heck did you get my cell number). She said this was regarding charges that are pending and that he needed to call 877.926.4233 with a claim number.  He calls and she tells him that he needs to pay $500 right now or they're going to serve him legal papers to take him to court.  When you call back the 510.227.6656 number, it goes straight to part of a voicemail system that says basically nothing useful.  877.926.4233 supposedly goes to National Attorney Group...I've been trying to look them up...guess what? As far as I can tell, THEY DON'T EXIST!! IT'S A SCAM from everything I've been able to find so far.

It's a debt collector.

Some investigatoe called my job, said she could not open the file to tell me who.has a claim on me. It was an invasion! Ah! Told me she wld see me tomorrow to serve me papers..okay

I received a call from 908-425-4316 telling me to call 877-926-4233 bout serving me. They gave me a claim # as well. I called, they had my SSN and DOB, an old home address from 6 years ago and a bank account that was not even mine. I told them I was not the person they were looking for, I do not care that they have my SSN or my DOB, any hacker can get that information. He then told me to stop talking and good luck in court to which my respons was go f*ck your mother and I hung up on him. If you cannot provide me with documentation...LEGAL documentation or provide me with accurate details, don't expect me to take money out of my pocket to pay someone else's debt. It's attached to my ssn...big deal I will dispute it if it shows up on my credit report, my exhusband screwed up my credit when I cosigned an auto loan, no loss for me there...smh...

CALLER CALLED FROM 205-386-8039 THEN TOLD ME TO CALL 877-926-4233. THIS PERSON CALL MY FATHER, SISTER, AND THE HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT OF MY JOB SAYING THAT THEY HAVE A CLAIM NUMBER FOR ME. GAVE THE CLAIM NUMBER TO EVERYONE THEY CALLED. SAID THEY WOULD BE AT MY HOUSE IN 45 MINUTES TO SERVE ME PAPERS. NEVER SHOWED. THIS IS A SCARE TACTIC. I HATE THESE PEOPLE.  PAYDAY LOAN COMPANY.
