It is a valid RBC number, I just dialed it and it goes to the RBC line.

It wouldn't have been RBC.  I do not bank with them and they still called me.  This could be an auto dialer.

I notice when ever I apply for a job through craigslist Toronto I start to get these calls the next day.
I suggest getting a whistle and when you answer blow it in the scammers ear.

Showed up on my call display as a United States call.  I answered and they claimed to be Royal Bank (RBC).  I questioned the lady who stated some cellular providers aren't accurate and she asked which provider I was with, I told her I couldn't tell her.    They knew my name and where I worked and wanted to talk about my banking needs, but I advised them I couldn't confirm any information because I didn't initiate the call and had no idea who i was talking to.  I advised them if I wanted to review my banking I would go to a branch and speak with someone there.  Lady was polite.  

I advise you just answer and tell them to stop calling.  And don't give out or confirm any personal information to someone who calls you EVER, unless you are 100% sure you know whos calling you.

It was RBC, I've had an account with them for only a few months. It wasn't until I told them that the person they were looking for (which was me) wasn't home that they said it was RBC, when they call back tomorrow I'll be more cautious since most posts here say that it's not a RBC number.

I wish these people would stop calling my cell.

1-877-769-2547 keeps calling not just once but twice a day, its on my call blocker..but very annoying!!

This number calls and calls me also.  Luckily I can now block numbers on my cell phone so just blocked it.  So annoying!  Ready to pick up and tell them to F*CK OFF!!

I got the call for the first time today, and I guess I was quick to answer. I had suspicions from the beginning since my phone was identifying it as a US number. The lady seemed to know that I spoke French, wished me happy new year and wanted to know how my finances were going, if I had any plans coming up, if I was using online banking, and placements. I was answering without providing any harmful personal information. When it came to placements, she wanted to know how much I was putting aside, and that when I told her that I didn't trust the source of the call (coming from the US), and she was not providing any valid reasons to verify my information, other than verifying if the information was right in their system. She was ready to transfer me to someone else, and I told her I was not interested to keep going with the call. She agreed with my suspicions, and told me to call back another time to look into this, quickly finishing with the call.

We were just coming in the house and the phone was ringing so we didn't have time to answer it, the call display said RBC and when I called it back, I got the number can not be completed as dialed

This number has been calling since Oct.19th,2013... 24/7 and sometimes even up to 10X a day!! Never answer it but I am close to answering and telling them I am also screening your calls for my local police department.

SIck and tired of this number calling me at least twice a day. I tried calling back and it rings once and then says call cannot be completed. What can I do to get rid of this annoyance? I will try blocking with my phone provider and see what happens.

Keep calling me at least twice a day, so damn annoying, never answered that and never left me a message

they've been calling my cellphone 3x a day and my caller ID says RBC but they don't leave a message.  it's so annoying  so I pick it up and hang up right away, but they still kept calling so I sent a text message to it to stop calling me and haven't called me back since.  well... so far so good.

I have been getting a call everyday at the same time too!  Annoying!!!

I have a Rogers cell phone too, I've gotten 1 call per day. From this number. I've only gotten one call from it but there is another number that keeps bugging me. I haven't tried picking up because Rogers charges me because i have a pay & talk phone. The other number I've gotten 2 calls from is 1-877-769-2547. I looked that number up on here too and it's about the same thing. On the 28th of November, I got a call at 7:20PM, today, I got a call from the same number (1-877-769-2547) Instead 2:12PM.

This number calls me constantly.  Claiming to be from RBC (who I bank with) trying to sell me services I do not want.  Annoying.  I asked to be placed on the DNC list.

I got a call twice from this number ...They are not RBC...RBC would leave a message.....

I too have been getting calls from this number. I spoke to RBC it is NOT them. I was told by the RBC agent to report them to the OPP and Do not call website. RBC is not giving out our info - they agent said who ever it is callikng they are guessing at which bank we use and if 1 out of 1000 people answer and give them info then they have succeeded in their fraud so DO NOT ANSWER - report them , block them , Threaten them whatever it takes .

This number is on my phone 2-3 times a day. I just tried to call back and a recording came on saying that my call can not be completed! It says RBC too! I do not believe this is RBC!

Hi folks, I assume all of you called by this number have an RBC VISA. If so, this is a 3rd party contracted by RBC to sell you stuff you don't need. They will also call from a host of other numbers too. Don't give out any personal information. They may know your name and phone number, but nothing else so don't give out any info if you do answer.

So since they have our numbers and know that we have accounts with RBC does that mean we should be concerned about our account information?

Gotten many calls from this number. If it is important, they can leave a voicemail, that's why we have it.

I just got a call from this number claiming that they were following up about my account and if I had any banking needs... When I told them I wanted to make an appointment they put me on hold and never answered back.

I get this number calling me daily - I call back and number not in service - do not believe it's RBC as I've called them about this, and they were not trying to get a hold of me

I have been receiving a call from 1-877-974-2547 twice a day for nearly three weeks now.  

I bank with RBC and  I called them because they kept calling me.  This is not an RBC number.  They have reported it to there fraud department.

Same as everyone else, at least one call per day for the past month or so.  I called RBC just now and they said that number doesn't belong to them.  Airhorn time, mofos.

this number calls me everyday. but, i never picked it up. i believe it is a fraud. how to stop it?  report to the police?

They said they were from RBC.. I put the number on my "reject" phone number list.  Most cell phones have this option.
