The caller was asking for money for overseas  Phone calls for veterans. He said he was calling from the Veterans Family Fund.  I looked it up, got a phone mumber from the actual Veterans Family Fund,  I was told they do not sponsor this program.

Received call from this number at 6:47PM EST. I did not answer the call and they did not bother to leave a msg. so I have no idea who it was or what they wanted. I also am on the 'Do not call list' in Indiana but it does not seem to be much of a deterrent as I am constantly getting calls from someone trying to sell this or that. Mostly the people trying to sell Meds...

I got a call from 877-981-1930. I see that this is Indiana Children Services. I believe we are to HELP the ones who truly need it. But God is the only one to help or hurt the SCAMMERS. They have the choice. I also am on the NO-CALL-LIST and if it is possible, and not certain organizations that can call, I turn them into the Mississippi Public Service Commission and we have a guy in office that does not play. If he traces and it is a scammer, they pay and this money goes to our state.

Why is the envelope postmarked Florida?

I received the same letter with a Florida postmark. My name was handwritten on the paper with my last name and street address incorrectly spelled. Became suspicious and did an internet search. I found this sight. I asked where they got my phone number since I am on the Indiana do not call list and got a flimsy answer.
