I received a letter from Tate & Kirlin Associates asking me to settle a debt of $482, which I have no idea where that come from. I owe nothing to nobody. It said Creditor: Pendrick Capital Partners;' Previous Creditor: Fire Department New York.  I don't leave in NY first of all and they offered me a 40% discount or $192 to resolve this debt. Is it some kind of scam? Where do they get my name and address? How can I stop this?

Tate and Kirlin - a scavenger collection agency.  They have something to do with "First Financial investment Fund V LLC."

They try to collect debts that have either been already paid or what appears to be imagined debt.

I've already reported them to the FTC.  First Financial appears to be a bogus company; they don't even have a telephone number where they can be reached.  

What they're doing is tantamount to extortion, and there will be legal action taken if they don't stop the harassment.

I received a call at 7:34 p.m., on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from "Tate and Kirlin."  They left no message.  I received another call, yesterday, November 3, 2008 at 2:22 p.m.  This call was from 267-407-0001 -- my caller ID read "Tate and Kirlin."

They didn't leave a message, and I have no idea who they are.

reputable yes. good reputation - i think not...  it would have been nice if you could be honest and identify yourself as an employee or agent of the company,,, but that is not what 'reputable' companies do now is it?

Tate & Associates  / Tate & Kirlin Associates - debt collectors - one of the lower tiered ones that have bought debt accounts that have already been re-sold and re-bought over a couple of times.  The will use different numbers, they will mispronounce your name and their name all in an attempt to trick you into calling back. Hey, If they won't leave their name on caller ID and use tricks(not truthful) - why the heck would I bother calling them back?

Call came in as "Anonymous". Message left said it was Tate & Kirlin Assoicates.  Best thing you can do is use MagicJack phone number/account for all your creditors.  Then you can monitor their calls through your email, and it's on your terms not theirs. Eliminates all the solicitors too.

didn't get a call really, just a notice for a voicemail on my cell phone.  the msg sounded all happy, like it would be a great thing for me to call them back, but they didn't say who they were.  refuse to call back a place that doesn't leave a company name.  number given as 877-982-0001 in the message.  call went directly to voicemail, as there was no telephone number that registered in my phone history.

tate and kirlin and associates collection agency out of pa several other numbers used.  spoke with them once asked them to send a letter verifing the debt no letter.  The didn't send the verification letter five days after the first phone call like the fair debt collection act states.  if you call at night you will get mumbai.

First time seeing this particular number - so far unable to dig up any info on them.  Call received on Sunday afternoon - nobody was home and no message was left.  They can bugger off - I don't deal with third party collectors....PERIOD.  LOL

call often looking for someone else. Pre-recorded message. Someone may answer by the name of "dean" if you call.

I keep getting calls from this number. The people are rude and I have no intentions of dealing with them. I have learned now to simply hang up on them when they call me and return the rudeness. I do not know where they got any information on me and the worst part is they call at all times of day and night (including weekends)

This people call at 10:46AM on Sunday.  I voice recording about personal message for some person that has the same last name as mine.  Collection agencies cannot call during the weekend.  This is a scam.
