Some of you who are getting calls from this number but don't owe money, read below.

I received a few calls from this number but the last one I Tried to answer and was hung up on. I called back and John answered and I asked what they called for. He said he would transfer me to the person who called. Troy Lufke answered and I asked what he called for and what the company was. He said they were a debt collection agency and needed my phone number to find out why he called. I gave it to him. He asked my name and I gave him my first name. He asked if I knew Tracey (insert last name here) and I said NO but in fact, she is my sister In law. He asked if I knew Brian, her son. I said NO. He didn't believe me and told me to tell them to call him. I told him to remove my number for that account since it didn't apply.

Now I know you can google people's phone numbers and come up with relatives via white pages etc. which is obviously what they did here because my family would not put my name on their loans since I am poorer than they are.

However, I understand they can call family members to locate you but they CANNOT imply in any way, shape or form that the people they are looking for owes a debt.

WHOOPS! Messed up ConServe!

They obviously don't hesitate to violate the FDCPA to strong arm people into paying since they are also calling people's places of business.

Public embarrassment and the prospect that your personal information might be shared with others are real concerns when dealing with a collection agency. The FDCPA includes provisions intended to safeguard privacy.

The FDCPA says discussions about the debt can only be held with (1) the individual, (2) the creditor, (3) an attorney representing one of the parties, and (4) a credit bureau. Public airing of your business intended to shame you into paying a debt is not allowed.

So people, if you can't  afford to sue them for their illegal behavior, at least file a complaint with the FTC. If they get enough complaints from one company, they will at least fine them.

So, I am still in school (graduate school), and needed a loan for the first time this semester to stay current on everything.  I've got 1 year left, and am still under the deferment by my university yet they called tonight.  When I answered, nothing.  Just hung-up on me.

So I got a call from this number didn't leave a message or anything. If they're a collection agency, you would think they would leave a message. Granted, I do have unpaid student loans, but I'm dealing with another agency so I'm a little confused on why these people have tried to contact me.

I owe NMSU too... This school is ridiculous. I was making monthly payments but was late on one payment so they sold my account to conserve without notifying me. I didn't know until two months later and by then the debt went from 6500 to 9500 because of "fees and interest". I offered conserve 6675 cash but they won't accept that because they are greedy and full of it.

I don'e even owe them money and when I request a itemized bill they tell me no.  What the heck they hang up when answer the phone and when I call ther number they hang.  I even contacted the provoist office at the unversity NMSU and he told me that wa sther collection agency and I told him my bill with NMSU was 0 and that they had a hold on my account for registering classes this last semester he said because I owed fees to this company but i did not have a balance with NMSU so why should I owe this company fees this is crap and it cost more to hire an attorney for a bill I don't even owe where are our rights.  The university said they turned may account over in August and I attended Spring 2011 and paid my bill.  The provost said it crossed in the mail and so I owe the collection agency fees for that and until I pay it they are putting a hold on my account and can not register for classes,

I got a call today from this bill collector and I am reasonably certain they have been calling my place of employment asking for me.  I have unpaid student loans and do a have a steady job that I will most likely lose if this "calling and asking for me at work"  continues.  I have a spotty work history and need this job to pay my bills.  I do not have the means to work out a settlement and have basically zero savings because I was out of work for a long time.  I suggest reporting this company to the proper authorities.

I am pretty sure that these people bought the paper on my student loan. I had worked out a payment plan with the previous company, but then was in a serious accident and ended up on full disability. Somehow, they managed to garnish about 15% of my disability payments. I have tried talking to these people several times to work out a payment plan, but they won't settle for less than $400/month, which is almost half of what I get. I just let the other company take the $200 or so they were getting every month, not much I can do at this point. The last 2 months I have been getting my full monthly payments, so either the first company went under or just sold the paper. Either way, I learned the hard way not to trust these people. I am not even going to talk to them. The scary part is how they got my cell phone number; it is a company phone, my name appears nowhere. I suggest just blocking or rejecting these clowns, they won't work with you.

From what I have read here, they should not be calling me. I have not enrolled in college yet and have never applied for student loans. I do get phone calls from collection agencies for a "Michael" or "Mike Brown" and I assume these people are looking for him as well. Looks like he is using my phone number on a bunch of things, but I report every unwanted phone call to donotcall.gov and eventually the calls will cease.

I have received several calls from this number. I finally decided to call it back & got "Conserv", also. I asked the man who answered "what type of business is this? and why are you calling me?"

"We provide personal & business services for individuals and companies" - how ambiguous is that?? They were not looking for me, but I think they are a collection agency.  Those guys are very careful about what they say & protect their physical location with all they have.

Reverse searching the # produced nothing.

They called asking for my name...after giving my name they asked what is my birthdate.  Before giving the date I asked what they wanted. They told me in order for them to let me know they have to make sure they are speaking to the right person. I replied without knowing the nature of the business they needed they wouldn't get any personal info and hung up.

A woman telephoned asking my wife's name and year of birth.  My wife refused to give this information without identification of whom the caller was representing.  Caller refused to divulge this information and hung up.    Just who are these people and what scam are they trying to run?????  (We have no bills past due so this is not the reason for their calls).

This number has called me twice in two days and the caller talks gibberish. When I told them I couldn't understand what they were saying, she repeated the same incoherent nonsense.  I said 'good bye' and she said very plainly 'good bye'.  I called them and found out it was a debt collection agency. Someone is obviously misusing the phone there. Very unprofessional.
