Numerous calls, never leaves a message.

These people are calling saying that they are with the DNC (Democratic National Committee)then they ask for your credit card information and claim they can only take credit cards. They are scamming big time and hassling as well.

I no longer get calls from this number - if you have a Smartphone check to see if it gives you the option to block calls from that number!   Mine does using iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.1.   on that phone go to the Phone app look up the number under the missed calls list and tap on the ! (make sure you not taping on the phone number otherwise it will dial it) then scroll to the bottom of the next screen and select block this caller.

I received a call from this number.  No message was left. Caller ID listed YVM.  I called the number back and received a message that the mailbox for this number was full and could not receive any additional calls.  I will block this number to prevent future calls from the number.

I received a on May 23rd at 5:37pm from this number.  I let my answering machine take the call and, when I checked it, the person on the other end was kinda intelligible -- it sounded like he said my first name and hung up.

I answered the phone this time intending to ask them to remove me from their calling list. The person on the other end of the line, though, said she was calling for People for the American Way, a group I've supported in the past. So I agreed to talk to her. I also asked why the caller ID said "YVM". She said PFAW hires them to make the fundraising calls. Other progressive organizations also hire them. I strongly support progressive organizations, so I told her I'd consider her funding request and she will call back.

650-888-2696 is YVM -- Your Voice Media -- raising funds for something, but I don't know what because I never answer.  They call at least once a day and they are starting to leave rude messages.  As someone earlier stated, it's almost like they are talking to someone sitting next to them rather than leaving ME a message.  But I hear it.  The organization using them to raise money should really fire them and hire a company that is more professional.

They called me saying they were raising funds for a political cause that I have given to in the past, and wanted me to donate $10 monthly and it had to be on my credit card.  I was reluctant and they said they could verify my no. with this cause.  Their no. did not jibe with mine.  I asked if they could hang up and I would see what name came up on my called ID to verify them, and it came up YVM.  I am so glad I didn't agree to lose God knows how much money to God knows whom!

To those who did the research on this number and posted it, THANK YOU! The last two days, I got calls from this number while driving from work. While driving, I don't answer calls, especially calls from any number not programmed to ring a certain way. They left no message, so I blocked them. What b****oles! Has called 1x day for three consecutive days. Caller ID says "YVM"  Now blocked. No doubt they will find another number to spoof calls from. And so it begins, but it never ends....

I just received another call from 650-888-2696.  I don't pick up to see who is calling since I'm pretty sure it's just another call requesting a donation.  Most often, the calls are from legitimate groups that also send email requests and requests through the mail.  They're easy to ignore, that's what delete buttons and trash cans are for.  It's the scam phone calls that anger me.  That's why I'm so grateful to this site.  You never fail to inform me who is calling and what they're all about.  Thanks for all the solid information.  

Today, 4/2/14, at 1:33 p.m. I received a call from 650-888-2696.  Caller I.D. said "California" and the number.  I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.  I am so sick of these phone calls from all sorts of people.  Of course, they all want donations.  They actually make you regret giving to reputable charities because then they sell your name and number to every Tom, Dick and Harry on the planet.  As if those calls aren't enough, I also get the scam calls trying to sell me something I don't want or telling me I'll get something for free but they need my credit card number for shipping.  The lies just go on and on.  I feel so sorry for the people who are duped out of their life savings by these charlatans.  The calls started before 8:00 a.m. this morning.   I'm on the "no call" list for State and Federal.  I wish it helped.  I suppose I'll have to invest in a good system to block these constant calls. But I'm grateful for this site.  I use it religiously now and I'm at least aware of who's calling in most cases.  Thanks for all your help.

I put this number into my Call Clerk software to block it after one ring. They actually called 7 times in a row with less than a second in between. I finally picked it up and yelled out my guts at them. They continued to call repeatedly. Finally blocked them with one of Comcast's precious 12 numbers so I don't have to hear even one ring. This is the worst, most persistent bunch of creeps that floods my phone line. Twelve calls so far today, and all have been unwelcome telemarketer.

YVM stands for Your Voice Media. They are doing fundraising for some non-profit.

First time call from YVM. Voices in background, no message left.

Just got a call.  Did not answer.  The caller did not leave message.  

Keep getting calls from this number. Caller ID shows YVM. They call nearly every day and never leave a message.

I called Emily's List to find out about these nuisance calls. I am a past donor and their rep said that this is no way to raise money - by alienating their friends. She said they have used outside fund raisers but she had never heard of YVM. She asked for my info and said she would remove me from their donor list, apologized and promised to make inquiries.
So, not sure if it's really Emily's List or not, just hope it stops.

This number calls 2-3 times a day and leaves a voice mail that is garbled.  Must be some sort of scam.

If YVM really is Emily's List, it's useless to try to find a way to get off of it. Eventually, after several years of no response from me, they finally quit. But now they're back with a new acronym. Yuck.

I received a call from YVM on Jan 22 2014.  I did not answer it.  My number is on the FTC "do not call" list.
