Yes, I have had the same issue with Lava Sr and have LA fitness auto debit from my account.

This LAVA thing is a definate scam. How they got my CC# I have no clue. After I reported it to my CC company they cancelled my card and issued a new card to me. I was not resposible for the charge. I bet what LAVA does is to see if they can get away with a small charge to see if it's a valid credit card, pocket some money, then sells the number on the black market to other bums. It pays to keep a sharp eye on your charges.

Me too.  They charged my account $6.23.

I charged an item to my Sears Mastercard and the merchant called me and said there was a hold on my card and I was to call the CC company. They asked if I charged anything to Lava SR for $8.95. I said no and they suggested I close the account and get a new number. I also told the CC company to look on the internet and they would see that a lot of this has been going on. I too had to attempt to call the Lava SR but like other got a recording that the call could not be completed as dialed. The CC company said they would remove the charge immediately. I asked how this company could have gotten my CC number. We don't use the card very much (3 charges on it for December). I was asked if I used it to purchase anything on the internet and I said no. They said well, you did, there is a previous charge to Paypal. I said I often use Paypal because it's secure. I didn't give any company my credit card number. He didn't say anything after that, just transferred me so the charge would be removed. It's not much but if they are doing this to thousands of people, it adds up.

I got hit too.  These people are crooks.  Has anyone reported them to the police?

had a charge of 13.89 on my visa, but with a new number 229-669-0071. my wife called and a girl answered telling her it was a personal cell number.and she didn't know anything about this charge.

does anyone have their credit card auto pay la fitness?  there has to be a common thread here somehow...

We got a charge for $8.74 in December 2010.  I checked with my card company.  They are trying to track them down.  So far nobody has tried to get credit using our card.

I tried dialing the number as 888-873-0635 and got a smart-alecky voice speaking very rapidly saying something about the card being invalid, then a quick goodbye.

This is a small amount, but if they're doing it to thousands of people..... it could add up.

12/17/2010 my Visa was charged $13.64 by LAVA SR LLC  886-873-0635 GA. I called the number and got the same recording everyone else got "cannot be completed..."  I contacted the card issuer, they immediately cancelled and replaced my card, to keep a happy customer, but I could not get the person at Visa to get interested in finding out who the hell is doing this. They absorb the charge and assume you're happy.  I want these b*****ds caught and prosecuted.

THey didn't call me but a charge from LAVA SR LLC for $5.88, appeared on my Mastercard bill, reported it as fraud.

Just got a bill with a cc charge from a cc i havent used in years and is still active.

I had the same thing twice. Once was back in Nov and got CC company to reverse charges. Then happen again in Dec after CC company replaced my old card. Seems like they are in with the CC company to do this.

Very interesting that you should say that. I rarely use my CC card, Just have Netflix taken from it. BUT the day before I had to renew my Website with GO DADDY, for some unknown reason my Bank Debit card with plenty of money would not go through. So...I used my CC card and the VERY NEXT DAY the CC company called with this fraudulent charge, Maybe they are somehow connected? Or someone who works for Go Daddy is  in cahoots? The REAL inconvenience here is after having to cancel my card in the middle of Dec. and wait for a new one, the CC company told me it is MY responsibility to call all 3 credit reporting agencies and tell them the CC company did not cancel my card, "I" did because of this so I don't get negative reporting. MORE work because of this. I am in NYS and am also writing the Attorney Generals office with this  and a copy of this page showing OTHERS have had this problem. $5 her and $13 there over and over adds up to a lot of money..They should go to JAIL!

Same thing here in MD.  Two charges made on my Visa.  One for 9.96 and one for one cent.  CC company called and took them off.  No idea who they are, except thieves.

I had $13.75 charged on 12/13/10.   Called my bank who sent me to VISA 800-VISA-911.  I told them about this and they told me I did not have enough info to file a complaint I would have to write a letter to the president of VISA.  
I am rather upset with that and will have to try later to get this merchant to loose their visa account

My best guess is that this company (Lava Sr LLC) contracts for website design, or something similar and once they get into the client's system they embed some sort of code so that they can skim credit card numbers as they are used on that companies internet site. On the exact same day that I had the fraudulent charge, I had purchased something from Best Buy on the internet, so I contacted Best Buy and informed them that they may have a breach in their internet security. Only thing I got back from them was a survey about how my customer service experience was handled. Not helpful. Everyone, please contact someone in the Government of Georgia and file an online report if you have had a fraudulent charge from Lava Sr LLC.

I just got my sears bill and it has a charge $8.27 with this phone number on it& LAVA SR LLC GA .        I did'nt get a call from sears about this.

Noticed a 0.01 hold on my card a few days ago, then this morning the bank posted a $12.02 charge...def fraud in my opinion...I had just used the card for an online purchase in Georgia. Guess I should have investigated the site before using.

We just noticed a charge from this company and another charge from a "Triple H Construction" in NH.

This company just messed with the wrong person.....I had an unauthorized charge of $10.53 on my credit card from LAVA SR LLC. Everyone who has had this happen needs to contact the Georgia Govenors office for consumer complaints and file an online report as soon as possible. If you do nothing this scumbag company will win.

Same message and phone number here.  Cancelled card immediately.  They will clean you out next time.  Check your account often after you notice first one.

Same-same.  CC Company noticed $00.01 charge, blocked my card & also questioned me about Lava SR LLC ($6.16 charged and revoked).  I must give VISA "credit" for jumping on this scam immediately.  I, too, had to get a new card; this occurred while on business travel.

I do not know who this company but they should be ashamed of their of there selves. They are not setting a good example. And what right do you have to just help your self to other peoples money. I also did not get a phone call or purchase any thing from them. But I will get a refund. And when the law catches up to you I hope I hope you get a lot of time in jail. YOU ARE A THIEF

Just got a charge from this company as well, credit card company alerted me.  Tried to call the number, got the "call cannot be completed as dialed" response.  Unfortunately sounds like fraud, I'll have to have the credit card company dispute it and send a new card..

My credit card company called to inform me that a charge was made by this company.  The card has been canceled.
