OK "PMCW" IS I SAY AGAIN IS a scam.  I had a Stroke that left me out of work and fell behind on some banking issues.  After being re-employed I pulled my credit reports to see where all my debt was.  So when a debt collector called stating they had purchased the debt and offered my arraignments to take care of it, I jumped at the chance.  Now I did demand proof of this debt and they had all the information to include the full account #'s and balance due. I demanded written confirmation and Spoke to them via phone several time( me calling them) After finishing paying off both I went to the bank to open a savings account and was denied because of unsatisfied debt.  I showed my banker my agreement with "PMCW" and proof of all payments.  After collection of $700.00 they now do not answer their phones.  It rings 10 times and then the line goes back to dial tone. I paid ALL this debt via Pre-paid visa and I have a record of Every payment. And it will be taken care off.  But I want to make sure EVERYONE HEARS THIS "PMCW IS A CON-SCAM" they will gladly take your money!

My sister in law got a call in her personal cell asking for my sister.  They also asked for me by my first name and they told her they were looking for XXX (my sister) as they needed to send her some court paper  (supina) and wanted my sister in law to volunteer my sisters contact information.  My sister in law immediately contacted me to let me know so I proceeded to contact 888-203-3693 who identified themselves as PMCW. Did not want to give me any more information but wanted my sister to call them right away...I'm sure it's a SCAM!!! Even if they are a collection agency, they have not right to call anyone other than the party involved!!!

Why are you running a search for this number???? Some of us don't have debt or maybe we did have old debt ( more than 5 or so years old) but want to know who is calling us wanting our hard earned cash. Don't call names until you can stand for your own actions....duh!!!

I recieved the call from this number and they tried to tell me that there was a case against me for 2700,oo. They told me it was from a credit card I had in 2001. The address that they had was my parents address from two years ago and would not be associated with the card. then they told me they could reduce the amount to 1200.00 and that if I had a debit card they could take half now and half later. I told them I would need documentation first and that I would need to gice the documents to my lawyer. They offerred the very helpful..lol.. information that I could go to Walmart and get a prepaid card to give them.. I asked her if she was joking.. They said I would get papers in the ,mail and she sent me a pdf doc. I looked up the company in Pacific Management Company in Corona CA. and it was an ebay seller in a stripmall in a rather nasty part of town.. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

So someone called from a PRIVATE NUMBER and of course I did not answer. She left a message stating that she is calling from the Verification Process Department in regards to an accident liability case and I need to call the Mediation Dept at the aforementioned toll free number to discuss actions. My past two vehicular accidents (not at fauly) were settled through my insurance company and don't owe anybody. I also had a collection account 7 years ago and was settled so to make the long story short, I do not owe anyone and have no pending case PERIOD. Thanks to this thread. Now that I am not the only being harassed.

Got a call from this company.  They stated the name as PMC West, They hung up on me 3/4  times, with all the questioning I gave them.    Company will not give out their business number   and their phone number is a generic telemarketer # that's only 5/6 digits long, to hide who they are.  Their message left 888-203-2349

No such company exists on the web, BBB or on credit reports (all 3) from any debt owed by myself or my spouse.  My debts are minimal, and I have not used credit cards in likely 10 years.     Probably a company trying to get an old debt re-opened that was purchased penny for dollar. .   If you make 1 payment to an old debt that was wiped off..  You will start that debt all over again, from the date of your payment.  Even if it was on a bankruptcy years previously.  Just a small note.

I have some old debt too, my dad called me the other day and said that someone called his house and told him that I was to be served with papers. I was never served. Just got a call on my cell phone from a private number. A Steve Hobbs from PMCW verification dept. wanted to make sure I recieved some important documents. I just deleted the number. Thanks for the information from above, I was worried this was a scam...

I received a call from  1 888 203 2346. It was a restricted number but they left that number on my voice mail claiming I was being sued lol So curiosity got the better of me as I thought to myself either bill collectors, scammers, or both! So I blocked my number called back, and played stupid for amusement porpoises. "Duh you guys left me a message and a case number I don't wanna be in trouble duhhhh" lol That's when they continued on to explain to me that they are a law firm and if I don't pay up I will be served with court papers. The debt they tried to claim I owe was paid off years ago and the debt it was for is almost 10 years old. I then laughed at them and called them out on being "Scam Artists" The guy became highly upset and hung up. So what else could I do other than call back lol :) I played stupid again, they played into again and then finally I let them have it and the result was the same, they hung up again. I encourage anyone who lives near a payphone to prank these dirty scamming b*****ds! I will keep their number on me at all times and I will return the harassment favor to them! Also they claim their firm name is Pacific Management Company and then they changed their name twice after that Pacific Management and Associates and then it became Pacific Management West lol It's a fake name people don't buy into. They may actually be a debt collection agency but they use False names as they are running an illegal scam. Have fun people lol

they called me looking for my sister . I work in collection, they told me they were Pacific Management a Legal Firm which I highly doubt just based off the way they answered the phone. Also, they left a message asking for "my sister, regarding a legal matter , and gave a case number" when my voice mail clearly identifies me. again... serious violation of the FDCPA.  They are, so they say... PACIFIC MANAGEMENT at "Law Firm". doubtful.

IGNORE IT!  The bill they say my daughter owes was paid in full!

Ok my ex mother-in-law received a call from these people saying that I have papers that are going to be served tomorrow.  I do have debt that I haven't paid and am unable to.  Has anyone actually had legal issues with these people, because if it IS a scam I'm just going to ignore it.  If it is real, then I'll face the music, but I am not paying these people if they are a scam, I can't even afford to pay my real debt! I guess I just have to wait and see if these papers actually come tomorrow.  I'll post back.

I too received a phone call from a private number telling me he has a supeona he needs to serve on my daughter. He then gave me this 888 number which I called.. the guy on other end was short and mean to me. I believed him that my daughter owed money... I have not had any contact with her for a full year. All I know is where she lives now out of state. My only choice was to contact her ex husband as he has my grandchildren every other weekend... he in turn texted my daughter. Her boyfriend called me to let me know they checked into all this. Only concern I have is that the scammer knew way too much information about everyone involved. He even gave me the home number of the house she lives now. It's spooky how much these ppl know... they do in fact do their homework before proceeding to do this scam work.

They called and said I owe $1,900 from a credit card I have never heard of.  I have not had a credit card since 2003 or 2004.

I dont have any credit cards.

I pay my damn bills, I make 142,000 a year and have ZERO debt. So now tell me why they are calling smarty pants!!

This is for Julia...we got a call from this #, too..threatening us.  Before my husband became ill and disabled, we had excellent credit, but illnesses or losing a job in this economy can cause you not to be able to pay your bills and you are just trying to survive to keep a roof over your head and be able to put food on the table.  Some of us can't help the circumstances that we end up in and do the best we can with what we have.  Hope this never happens to you, because no one wants to wish this on someone else.

I got a message from this same number and that their will be delivery of a court summons. They wanted me to call to reschedule if I would not be home around 9am-10am. ALL this is folks is an attempt to collect old debt or scam of sorts. Do not give these people your money! They are fraud! No court papers were served! I did not even bother calling them back because this is nothing but a scare tactic to get people to call and pay for something that is over and done with. 7 years had gone by, it's off my credit reports, so they might as well give up on calling because they will not see a dime! lol

I keep getting these calls from this number and they aren't even for me.  I called the number back and the first guy hung up on me.  The second guy, Kevin, asked for a case number which I gave him.  Kevin said he would remove my number from the list as a man by the name of Eric Hughes apparently used my cell number on something.  I have told them numerous times that I do not know this person and that I have had this number for approximately 6-8 years and to check with Verizon.  My next step is to get an attorney and file harrassment charges.  I agree with everyone else.  They are very rude people making those phone calls.

They called my mother and told them that there are two outstanding summonses for me!

When I found their number and told them I needed their name and address in order to file a complaint against them they told me "You've got to be kidding" and hung up.

What I don't understand is that they did not even state anything about any outstanding debt so I don't even know what they are calling about.

Got a call to my cell while on the other line, caller ID was "private number" any they were threatening my wife about an old cc debt that we have never had. They were going to serve papers, etc. Phone number they gave was 888-203-2346 I called and the phone was answered "can I help you?" after a few minutes of rude comments I was transferred to Ray Fischer he wanted me to give him a credit card to clear up a non-existing debt. I asked for something in writing and he sent me an email with an url (web domain) that was masked. Then he called from 951-300-1413 this number is not available on any of the searches (even the for pay ones). He said he was from Pacific Management Company West which does not show up on any records either.

I'm not through yet. We need to stop this a** before someone looses everything.

I received a call from a man saying he was an attorney and that if I didn't pay my debt then he would garnish my wages. He said he was a court official. He also called me horrible names. He said his name was Tony Padilla. He was a very rude and mean person. I have now been written up and warned of being fired because he called twice and was rude to my assistant office manager. These people are relly mean and rude. He said he could care less if I have no place to live or not. WOW!!!

They contacted my son at his job and gave out information that there was a claim going to be sent.  I guess i need to check my debt laws.  She left a message saying she was an attorney.  I'm not an attorney, even I know that is illegal.  Very frustrated right now.

What a joke!  I keep getting calls from this number and of course I dont answer.  Just checked my voicemail after a couple of days.  They have left numerous messages saying I need to contact them regarding a complaint that has been filed agains me.  Like others have said....I live in the same place as I have for years so if someone is trying to serve me or has a complaint you know where to find me!!!!
