I recieved a call from a woman stating that thier was a lawsuit against me regarding an online loan that was taken out in my name. They said that I had to pay $1000. They couldn't/wouldn't give me much information, no phone number and when I contact the names on the list that was given, they said that they had no accounts under my name. Also, the girl sounded like she was being told what to say on the phone to me. I was advised to keep an eye on my accounts and my credit report. Do your research before you hand over your account information. Good Luck to you and God Bless.

Geef, you are SO right.  Britany is not the ONLY one who is Evian, er, naive.  The Do-No-Call Registry is a farce.  Oh, yes, like locks on a door, it keeps honest people honest, but the "bad guys" don't give a twit because the registry is a Paper Tiger, a Toothless Watch Dog, A - - -(well, you get the idea).  

Companies that want to maintain good "PR" honor the registry, but the bad guys actually USE the list to FIND numbers.  

However, there IS help!  Since I employed my little "trick" - I rarely get any more unwanted calls - at least not very often and very seldom any repeat calls. LOL I JUST GOT ONE THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A ONE TIME FEE OF 1.97$. THEN AFTERWARDS IT'S A 97$ FEE EVERY MONTH......

I've received these calls from this number 2 times today. I don't anwser and it was a womans voice saying hello and then hanging up. I live in Florida.

They have called me several times over the last two days and have never left a message. The one time I did answer there was nobody there.

complain to the phone company about the harassing calls. Harassment by telephone is a federal crime.

Being harassed by this number, it rings every 20 minutes!

I called back the number, but no one answered only music playing in the background. Very fishy!!!!!!!!!!!

This number stared appearing today on my cell phone. They have called called 5x, from 4:41pm to 7:50pm. I have never answered as I do not recognize the number.

I got a call from this number today. Immeditaly called back and just got music. So after some reading here, I started calling. I talked to Carey (apparantly the director) and a Jason. Neither would give me ANY information about the company and after a long loud conversation, finally came to the conclusion that they "mis-dialed" me. Then proceeded to threaten me by saying they would call all day. He was quiet pissed off that I kept calling him. He also told me that the conversatin was being recorded, and I made sure to say everytime he asked me a question that "I was not agreeing to anything during this conversation". That pissed him off too!!!

Don't get snippy when I ask to be placed on your do not call list.  Just add my number and move on.  Thank you Ms. Telemarketer.

If any of you have smartphones, I suggest that you download the app called call control, it lets you white list all your contacts and you can black list all the idiots who call and annoy you ! Add all the 800 888 and any other bothersom numbers to your black list ! Take matters into your own hands my friends, nobody will stop this so you have to do it yourself.

In the past 2 days they have called a total of 61 times. This is getting on my nervous. They don't leave a message and I don't pick up numbers I don't know who you are. They don't have names on caller ids just he number. Can we stop it some how its getting me pissed.

I keep receiving calls from this number like everyone nobody is on the line when I pick up but when I call back it goes to a low sounding voice mail with music. This is crap!

I received 2 calls in the last few days from the phone number above.  I called them at that number and got elevator music for a few minutes and then someone came on.  The company is called "Universal Web Consulting", they try to reach people about home business.  They are located in Arizona.  
By the way, all of this is what I got from the phone call, I have not verified any of the information they supplied.  I asked how they got my number (cell phone) and they said that I accessed their website and asked for information. I have never accessed any website for this type of business so they definitely lied on this one.
I asked to have my number removed from their list.
One thing I would like to throw out there, I submitted my phone numbers to the "Do not call" website.  I am just wondering if other people have done the same and this is where they get their phone numbers.

HA HA!  I use a voip answering system that sends any message via email - got TWO calls from 888-210-9380 one lasted 8 seconds, the other 10 - just dead air.  There is a way to send such companies scurring  - I have forgotten the technical name, but you can get any number of those "out of service" tones on-line.  Record one of them into your voice mail announcment at the very beginning, then be very quick to add something like, "The number you have reached - - - (pause briefly here - to mimic the phone company's technique) - - - is a working number, leave your name and number and I'll call you back as soon as possible" - - the voice message can really be anything you like - it's the tones that send the telemarkerter running - their computer "hears" the tone and takes your number off their calling list - may take a two or three times from the same caller, but it usually works. If you use the voice message I describe, even non-automated callers usually hang up when they hear, "The number you have reached" and don't stick around to hear the rest - then they scratch your number off their list and complain to the people they bought the number from.

when you get this calls block your no. so it doesnt show up on caller id and call800-707-4084 keep hitting 0 for there operator, this may take several times but it pisses them off bad. sooner or later they will get the idea. when they call back do the samething agian, come on everybody we have to stick together these calls from 888-210-9380 will stop if we all stick together and give it back to them.

call this no. as offten as you can give them there own treatment

I started getting calls from this number last week, and I think I get anywhere from 4-8 calls daily from them. Today I answered my phone, and some lady with a very heavy accent asked for me and I told her there was no one here by that name and they needed to quit calling me before I called the police and reported them....hopefully that worked and the calls will stop. I doubt it but it was worth a try.

Yes.. I did signup from the work from home kit and cancelled. Just yesterday and now the calls begin.

About a month ago i signed up for an internet work at home program, when i saw that it costs money to start i exited but i guess it was too late... they got my number. they keep calling me so i just got an app for my BlackBerry to block the calls. The app is called Call Control, it's free, and best of all it works!

Have any of you reading this made a recent call to a 'service center' located in India  recently?
The last time I had similar problems-- 'like this  as ell as with numbers that do NOT exist in the area code was about six months ago. Precisely when I had spent nearly an hour on the phone with Dell technies!

Yep! I got an email from my husband. I got an email from my husband and I thought it should be something that he sent it to me and some of his friend. So I signed in the website. It sounds wierd and I did not continue. But I already had filled the personal information form and they have my phone number and other information... :(

by chance did anyone try to sign up for a work from home program kit and cancel?
