I've just gotten the same text. I don't remember applying for any gift card...I'm thinking it's SPAM but, how did they know my name?????

I called the number back to be removed from receiving more texts... needless to say the company is outsourced and they kept trying to get personal info.  told them NO, I just want removed.  Kept hanging up on me.. finally asked if they understood English and asked what I needed to do... Reply to the text with the word STOP.

igot the exact message, from 58142, with my name- which i dont know how they got that, but also leaving me the # to call for my $25 wal mart card, with a code.  I called the # from my work phone, not cel, and it was a lady that could barely speak english. i too asked how they got my information and she could not answer.

I just got the same message. I would love to find out how they got my information and to know my name. I have no applied or submitted any information to any online source I was not aware of.

I sent the STOP message, though what I wanted to say was GO ROT.


I've received four similar messages today.....

My mother keeps recieving these messages on her cell phone, but addressed to me. i have called three different numbers now asking to be removed off of the do not call list, and whatever list for texts (888-210-9448, 877-690-7090) each time i either got hung up on or told it would be taken care of and the texts are still coming. My mother is responding with the word STOP as instructed...how do i get these to actually stop?

Thank you all... Id been calling this #, cause my nephew is the one receiving the texts... He is only 10 years old and have the phone for emergencies.. They said that maybe he contacted them online and that's when I got PISSED... I requested supervisor and the first guy, last name "Anderson" said that they were not available, all of them were in a meeting... After discussing for a few minutes, he hung up..I call back requesting a supervisor again and the 2nd guy, last name "Garcia" (with an Indian accent) said they were not available, when I asked him for his name again, he gave me a weird name, with last name "Lipul".. I confronted him, and he also hung up... LoL Call for the 3rd time and this time a female answer, "Cassandra Garcia", I laughed and asked if they were all family, cause the 2nd one was a "Garcia" also, didn't know what to answer, so I changed the question by asking for a supervisor, and she immediately responded that she was, so I asked for the meeting and she didnt knew about it... LoL.. To finished their game I asked why if they were from India they were using Spanish names, if she couldn't realized that I am Latina and that we sound different.. Her respond was that I was insulting her, cause she was not from India and also hung up....  What should I do know??? He just received another text form a different number, 877-690-7090.. We are tired of this, Please can somebody help???

received text message from 581-42 with the walmart scam. texted STOP as indicated to unsub - then received phone call from  408-667-6689 with same message, again texted STOP as instructed tounsub. Will I get charged something from these yahoos?   It stated  "your subscription has been cancelled and you will no longer receive messages or charges".  How did they get my number?

received text message from 58142, thanking me for my visit, and leaving me a bonus code number for a $25 walmart gift card voucher, with instructions to call 888-210-9448 to claim my card.

I recieved a text stating that I won a 100 gift card.  When I called a man with a accent answered.  He was obviously at a call center.  He told me I had won a $100 Walmart gift card and a $25 dollar gas card.  I asked how he got my number and he said it was a survey I took.  I don't do surveys so I knew it was a scam. I also asked for the website,he stated some long drawn out name that wasn't that wasn't a website.  Phone number 1-877-774-5247.

Aint this about as bogus as it gets. These people are relentless.  I was billed 70.00 last month on my frickin cell phone.  to make a VERY long story short, I just finished reporting this company to the FBI.  I will be adding more of these fake companies to my complaint.  I had to call 10-11 places last week when i received my cell bill with 70.00 in charges from different places.  atleast they are kind enough to add their phone number to my bill so I could call.  but this is week 2 and it is still continuing.  all for a free f*****g walmart-target-etc gift card.

Received a text stating that I received a $25 gift card from Walmart.  Dialed the number and asked what company they were with.  They staed that they were with Florida Escape dot com.  

Informed them that I didn't visit their website and I am on the...     CLICK..   they hung up..

This number keeps sending TEXT messages to my phone aying I had won a $25 Wal Mart gift card.

They also say in the message to Call Back 888-210-9448 to unsubscribe.

I called have back several times and am put on hold, when their agent finally answers, They hang up as soon as i say I would like to unsubscribe.

Same here! 5 dif. texts that say the same as above. $25-100 gift cards. I called the 1866-706-9064, 917-443-7959, 917-348-8569, 201-758-6672, 581-42,  and just get a busy signal. Texted STOP to the texts and only one responded. This is BIG time bs and I hope like heck I am not being charged. I will be putting a block on my cell phone today, but WE should not have to. This has to be illegal and there must be something WE can do to STOP this. Any ideas?

i got the same message today about the 25$ card voucher and i decided to call and play around with them becasue i figured it was a scam and while he guy was asking me all these questions he then told me a number i could call back so i called the number while on the phone with them form another phone he sounded arab but the lady who answered the phone on the other line sounded african american so i asked here if this was real and she told me yes then i asked her y did they need a dollar and she told me to get the trial started and i told her they didnt tell me anything about a trial then she said well they should have told me and i was like well they didnt so what ever

I received a text message saying I had won a $25 Wal Mart gift card.  I called the number and they said it would cost a dollar and wanted my card number.  I refused to give it and he said it had to be done right away.  I realized it was probably someone trying to steal my card info.

Same thing for me...was getting calls from this 206 area code.  I blocked the phone number on my cell since the caller ID was always the same.  The problem went away but now today I got a text saying to call back the 888 number you guys are describing.  I know it is the same scam because both times they asked for JORDAN, in the call and the text....my name isn't even Jordan!!!!  When I was getting called it would usually just end up where they would hang up on me before I could get a word in, but finally I told them not to call me anymore and they said "Don't put your number on the internet then", followed by another hang up.

I also just got a txt advising that i have won GC, if i won why do they need my CC #

filled out a survey for  Subway sandwiches started getting all these text msg's less than 5min later and still getting them 2wks later. I will boycott Subway for this "NO SUBWAY NO MORE"

Strange web of contacts / companies.

Called 888-210-9448 to ask to be removed and was told to call 877-226-1837.  After calling that number I was able to speak to a rep that took down my info to add my number to the do not call list.  When I checked http://mydeals2go.mobi/ I didn't find much and a registrar lookup reveals it was only recently registered (June 6th of 2010) through a proxy registrar.  When I called the second number they identified themselves first as "Today's Escapes Plus' but then started calling themselves 'Members Savings' after I told them I wanted off the list.

Very strange.

Thats exactly what they did to me.  I didnt ask them how they got my number because I did do surveys, but I figure if we won a giftcard from them, they would just send it in the mail. Very weird!

Texted STOP back to the people and they responded "your subscription to mydeals2go has been cancelled and you will no longer receive messages or charges.  Visit http://mydeals2go.mobi for more info."  So I guess that's good that it will be stopped, but no idea how I got on their mailing list...

Was offered a $25 Visa and a $25 Wal-mart card for the small fee of $1.00. They said I filled out a survey but couldn't tell me which survey or who they worked for. All they needed was my debit or credit card. No info for me, no info for them.

I just got two messages, both advertising my "free" 50 doller gas card and 25 doller wlamart gift card.  I text "stop" to both numbers and recieved a confirmation that I would nolonger recieve the promotional gifts and would stop being CHARGED!! WTF!!! It listed a website for details http://mydeals2go.mobi  I went there and it wasnt a website, just some page and listed "sponsers" AT&T and a whole lot more...most likely a scam...but how did they get my number??? Also will be monitoring my Credit card..SCARY

I also received a text stating I won a gift card.  I ignored it.  This is the second one I received today from 2 different numbers.
