This number is not a national number so it is issued to multiple companies. Depending on the area code you are calling from you may/may not get a different company.

Received a phone call from 888-214-2323 extention 1077. a guy named Grant. Said he is with card member services. I gave all and i mean "all" of my information. I definately felt sick to my stomach as i was giving my social security #, address, credit card numbers, bank account #.  What the heck was i thinking. i knew better but the guy made it sound like such a great deal. This was just yesterday.  Before anything could happen , i canceled my bank account and placed an alert. also called experion and cancelled my credit cards, called social security and police department to find out if there is anything else i need to do.  Now am still worried what they are going to try to do with my information.  Lesson learned?  "NEVER , EVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I am confused, it seems to me that no one actually has done anything with this company to verify the credibility.  From the 2 links that were supplied it sats they have an A+ rating with the BBB as well as been in business for 33 years.  The guy you spoke with must have been new if he said only 20 or so years.  It seems like I need to find out for myself.

I got a call this evening from Members Service Provider Educational financial services. I spoke with Rob Davis 888-214-2323 Ext 1047. He said he wanted to help me decrease my debt and told me that one of my credit cards minimum payment was going up from $115 to $213. He asked for the last 4 numbers on my card which i did. I really thought that he was trying to help me. When i asked him serveral times how much this was going to cost he said $400 broken into payments. I then said we didn't have the money and thanks but no thanks. Funny though when i said we didn't have the money he hung up on me. I then called my credit card company and they told me it was a scam. I then had them freeze my account and are reisuing new cards. Stupid me to fall for him

Received call from 603-509-4671, but was given 888-214-2323 x1047 (Rob Davis) call back information. Company name provided to me was Member Service Provider, Education Financial Services. Was told this is for debt management hardship programs. Gentleman had nice voice, but became very pushy... made me uncomfortable and suspicious.

Got a phone call from this place Member Services Provider. Just like the earlier post said I had filled out some ad. Do not remember doing that.A man by the name of Richard talked me into giving him information about our credit card debt. Anyway he has called numerous times and I called him back yesteday to let him know that I am not interested. He kept pushing me to why and that they could reduce the one loan we have. But the other Credit Card Consolidation that we are with said that the loan we have with Citi Financial  the interest rate could not be lowered on it. But this guy is saying they can. I just do not have a peace about this. So hope he does not call back. Hope that they do not try anything underhanded.
Looks like it coud be fraudelant. This man says not so.

I got a call from Jeff at 888-214-2323 x: 1030. He said he was part of a non-profit company called Educational Financial Servies that was affiliated with Member Service Providers and they were registered with the BBB and had a good rep for over 20 years.

He already had my cell phone number and address and whatnot. After talking with him about various budgeting and whatnot he pitched how I could apply credit cards of my choice to be enrolled in a consolidated balance and pay off my debt much quicker than what it would take on my own.

All seemed well until he asked for the credit card numbers, which I obviously refused to give over the phone. Instead I asked if they would be able to fax a form for me to fill out and fax back and for obvious reasons declined and said me filling out the application would eliminate his job. He tried to ease my suspisions by saying that he could direct me to a website that would clearly show that they are registered to the BBB. At that point I thought for sure that no company in their right mind would directly ask for bank and credit card numbers just for an application. I weaseled my way out of the phone call by saying all of that information is at home (since they caught me at work), and that I would have to look into it and consider it and give him a call back at the information he provided.

I google searched the company Educational Financial Services and came to this link (http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/Schola ... na-CA-100092762) and noticed that just like their name implies, the company is based on educatinoal scholarships and financial aid (not reducing credit card debt). I also came across another page (http://www.manta.com/c/mm2rqz6/educational-financial-services-ltd) which stated that this company has been in business for 33 years (now why would they just vaguely say over 20 years?).

This person was very polite to me and wasn't pushy at all, but still... given the information i found on them, I would strongly advise that NOBODY gives out their personal information over the phone. An actual company would not outright ask you for your account numbers until after you've been accepted, in which case you would almost always have to sign something...

Hopefully the information he was able to get (or already had before talking to me) won't be used to somehow steal other information. I will definately be keeping a very close eye on my credit statements for random misc. charges.

DO NOT TRUST!

I got a call from Educational Financial and even though I told them no they still charged me over $400.00 at the end of October. I was told they would help me lower my credit card interest reates so I could pay off the balances quicker but I did not believe it.

I was just looking for coupons and foolishly entered my phone number into some sketchy looking adds...my mistake! Got 3 calls today one from 720-230-4361 "Jacob" was a real peach! What a jerk! I am already pretty savvy when it comes to CC debt...I've had up to $25,000 at one time. I just need to let you know that this sounds like a TOTAL SCAM! I had to consolidate my CC debt in 2007 with Bank of America and I have been paying a large payment with a high interest rate. This is what it takes to pay off large amounts of debt people! Don't be fooled with talks of short term, low payments...this is totally unrealistic to paying off large debts. Debt repayment takes time, sacrifice and patience. If you want some good advice, don't mess these people.....read Dave Ramsey's books and learn the real truth about owning everyone.

I fell hook, line and sinker. I was told by 'Henry Merryman' that this company would help me with a credit card that I had maxed out. Also because I had been unemployed for serveral months that after I was contacted by NBP to do the counceling and get my credit card debit undercontrol. I also would be sent $500 a week for 4 weeks . I had Henry's phone # and tried to call him to ask questions. I always got the voice mail. I left my phone # and a message, but never received a return call. I finally looked the business name up with the BBB. They are NOT BBB accredited. They have a score of F.  My bank was drafted for $279.
After I did my research, I left a message that I wanted my money refunded and that I wanted out.
After I made that call I received a letter saying " CONGRATULATIONS!!!The financial analysis fee for your enrollment into the fantastic program has bee completed. Thank you for your continued dedication to getting out of debit. It then gives me another phone #888-477-655 customerservice@edufinancialservices.com. We are happy to offer you a free gift if you decide to cancel  the program, we want your feedback.

You should call your Atty General immediately.  If you have an aging services unit in your area that will help with this type of fraud you could get with them too.  If you gave them any banking info or any info that they could do some type of identity fraud with you need to get with your credit card companies or financial institutions immediately.  Hope this helps & I hope that all rot in a terrible place.

Obviously a scam, they are asking people for routing numbers, bank info, etc that a legit business should NEVER EVER ask for.  I have reported them to the Atty. general in our state, the better business bureau.  They just tried to tag my son, but thank goodness he called me before doing anything.

Member Service Provider/Educational Financial Services, Rob Davis, 888-214-2323, X1047 -

This morning, I received an unsolicited call as set forth above.  I am 79 years old and have,  as a result of a couple of catastrophes (not to mention old age & probable poor judgment) gotten myself into a very tight financial position, basically tied to one credit card that in a time of great need I allowed to max out.  I have been paying on that card for several months now.  I also have another credit card that is not in arrears, but is just barely short of it.  The caller told me his company (above) could arrange for much lower payments and payoff within 54 months for approximately the same amount I have been paying, while continuing on the same course would take 279 months, and $12,757 interest paid out.  I'm truly concerned about my situation and perhaps foolishly, followed through with him to see what it was.  He told me that for $420 a month, paid for 54 months, his company could retire both debts, while under the current plan it will take $500 a month for 279 months.  This was all discussed over the phone, between me and 4 of the company's people - I am old and slow and they talked fast, so I may not have all the details correct, but roughly, what is set forth above is accurate.  They represent that their company can help as outlined above - only problem is, they talked fast and my brain doesn't always
work fast - It may be a fine idea and totally on the up and up, but I'm just feeling edgy about it.  Their company will receive a portion of the payments, but that is something they work out between them and the payee if I understand correctly.  I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate advise on the legitimacy of this company.  Thank you for your kind attention.

Received a call such as above outlined today - have real need for help unraveling my financial problems, and was interested in what he had to say.  He then passed me on to another person, and then another, and then another in a developing agreement.  As the conversation progressed, I became uneasy, but when I questioned various aspects I was told they could and would arrange payoff of my credit cards at a reduced rate & shortened time.  After we concluded the conversation I had agreed to monthly withdrawals from my account to pay off the two credit cards  I have n a greatly reduced time and amount, plus monthly fees to their company.  I desperately need to get my finances under control, but fear this may be a scam.  Can you advise???
