They got me good.  Said I owed a debt for a returned check????  Said they had a warrant for my arrest.  Said I owed $1500 but  they would take a settlement to keep them form calling the local magistrate and hauling my butt to jail.  Out of fear, and let me just say that I'm a highly intelligent person, I agreed to pay the debt at a reduced amount.

They stole $600 from me.  I have disputed this  with my bank, called the BBB and the Georgia D.A.

Someone needs to stop them.  How do they get our information in the first place????

They are now PREMIER CLIENT SERVICES  Robert Goldstein (Sr. Coordinator) called and left a message saying, "This is regarding a local claim that may be filed against you in your local jurisdiction and attached to your name and SSN." Stating that I needed to call or have my attorney call and that failure to return the call will be noted as a forfeiture of my rights.

I called and spoke with someone who put "Robert Goldstein" on the line. He claimed that I owed $1300 for a $500 Installment loan that defaulted in 2011 with My Cash Now (formerly Cash Now).  I NEVER TOOK OUT A LOAN WITH THESE PEOPLE. After doing some research- These are two different businesses. Cash Now IS NOT a direct lender but rather is a website that will find you a lender and My Cash Now has closed its doors and left a message for its clients stating "Our managers have decided to close all accounts and no further action is required from you". (866) 398-2274. FYI- when I called back to tell them of my findings I got a lot of shuffling around and being put on hold.
Here is all of the information I gathered for the company behind this call:

PREMIER CLIENT SERVICES
website: www.citimgtgrp.us (their parent company website - the website looks legit, but yet Premier Client Services answer the phone when you call the number from the website LOL)

3577 Chamblee Tucker Rd Ste A291 Atlanta GA 30341 (so they say)
BBB Accredited (though their website has this insignia- I couldn't find them anywhere on the BBB website- so their accreditation is not proven valid)

Got a call on my answering machine from these "people" about a returned check that needed to be taken care of by myself or my counsel.  When they left the message you could not even understand the garbled first name of the person that the call was supposedly for...just the last name which is correct for us.  So, could have been for me, my husband, my son or someone that is not even related to us.  They left a file number also.  If I remember correctly, according to the Fair Debt Collection Act, it is illegal, in Texas, for a debt collector to curse, intimidate, harass, or threaten the person they are calling.  These calls sure border on harassment and intimidation, and scare tactics.  They will have to have a judgment against you for you to be arrested and you should receive notification from the court that a judgment has been placed.

Received two calls from this so called company, left messages to the effect that I had written a check, check fraud and needed to clear it up.  Called twice, I called number back and left message that I did not owe them or anyone else anything.  I told them not to call again or I would take legal action against them for harrassement.  These idiots should be stopped.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

Yeah they called someone and left and a message with them saying they are looking for me since 2008 for a check fraud and that I took out a payday loan and i needed to make arrangements to pay off the $1200 that was owed. The bank he claimed the money was deposited, I never heard of them or had an account with them, the address where that they had, never lived there. These ppl are a joke and unprofessional (Investigator Pierce) he is the one that who claims he has the case. I called them back and told them I'm going to report them to state of GA and they hang the phone up. He was not able to send me anything with the case. They are just SCAMMERS !!!!!

I have been receiving phone calls and voice messages from these people for months now. Mr. McMillan (AKA Owens) and "Investigator" Pierce have left messages stating they are about to file a warrant for my arrest in my county because of check fraud. I demanded information on the debt in writing and was told they don't have to provide it. This is nothing short of harrassment, but I don't know what can be done without hiring an attorney. I don't know what check they're referring to as I rarely write checks, plus they use my maiden name, and I have been married for over 5 years now. Whatever it is they are trying to collect they will not get it from me. I figure that if they were able to arrest me, it would have happened some time ago.

Yeah he called my wife and stated that I wrote a bad check to Check n go in 2007 in Sarasota, FL. In 2007 I lived in Michigan and was not in Sarasota, also the address he claimed I used was an address I didnt live at till early 2008. I dont know I am interested in finding out more of this, I dont use cash advance places, or payday loans. I would like to see the check that was wrote, also I would like to see my signature on the check. I see the amount is the same as a few ppl on here so I am definately curious. Oh and his name was Peirce also.

Linda don't be scared, answer it and let them know that you know they are a scam and that you will be reporting it to Homeland Security I promise you won't get anymore calls from them.  When you get these calls answer them and ask questions don't be scare to get answers and if the answers are given with a question then just let them know that you need to check into it and ask if you can call them back in about 10 minutes.  That will give you time to google the number to find out if they are truly who they say they are.

I received a call yesterday 10/18 late afternoon.  It was a message stating that this call was for me, stated my name and that it was very important to call back ASAP.  Well, I did call and when the call was answered he said "this is investigator Miller", and asked if I was that person they were trying to find.  I played the roll, told them that I received this call and I do not know this person.  They asked me if I new her again, and I said no, he said well if you should hear from this person, you let her know that she is wanted for Check Fraud, and a warrant was going to sent to the county where she lives and will be arrested!!!  He said we have been looking for her for a long time, and she is running, LOL!!!!  These people use these types of scare tactics all the time.  I called my states attorney's office once before, it was for a different firm (but most likely the same) and they said that nothing has been filed and this was just a scam, that they get numerous calls regarding this.

I received the same message today as everyone else. 'Investigator Pierce' also contacted a family member and threatened that I would go to jail. My family member tried to get information from the 'investigator' but he demanded a credit card number or a routing and account number. Luckily she didn't give any information.

I have reported them to the BBB, but I was also looking for a fax number for them. Has anyone found such number?  All I see are complaints and the various numbers they use to contact individuals.

I receive calls from this number every day.  Always the same threat. They tell me I took out a payday loan online and never paid it back.  Refused to send me anything in mail to back up the debt.  I tell them that I'm going to seek legal representation and they say "Then we will go ahead and issue a warrant for your arrest."  The the same Mrl Fred Davenport at ext 314 calls me back 2 days later like he's never talked to me at all.

This same Mr. Good called me today stating the same thing.  This is after I had received a call from a Mr Chandler who was rude and talked to me as if I were a dog.  Stating that he had no time to explain anything to me, that if I didn't agree to pay 1620.00 that I would be jailed for check fraud.  Then went on to explain how stupid I was for taking out a payday loan with an interest rate of 932%. lol I don't think anyone in their right mind would take out a loan with an interest rate of 932%.  BEWARE!

Yesterday this company called my parents in Dallas AND my sister in Austin.  Is that legal?  They are calling themselves investigators and saying I have committed fraud and might have criminal charges filed against me.  I haven't responded to them as I was advised before to not respond until you get something in writing.  What should I do I sure don't want my family getting calls like this.
