I got a call that showed only 0's 000-000-0000 saying that it was "united benefits" they went on to say I signed up for a"savings" program (never happened) and were being charged for the service. When i asked to cancel it seemed like they were trying to get me to agree to it before they could cancel--NICE TRY. My advice is threaten to make a report on the company and hang up. THEN IMMEDIATELY CANCEL THE CARD! I know  it's inconvenient but the only way to ensure they don't STEAL our money!!

You need to take this to a higher level then just your bank! No one can do anything unless they get complaints filed. So here is where you file reports/complaints:

Please do file reports with  your state attorney general and the FTC & FCC..

I was trying to call some state number and accidentally reached this #18882359042or 18886452558. They offered me 100$ coupon for 1$ something for one month trial. then monthly charge of 10$. During a month these jack a***s charged me over 80$. I was checking my online bank statement today and found out 4 unknown charges, total of over 80$. I've had hard time figuring out how and where i subscribed to virginia bla bla magazine. On each transaction they used different name but including virginia bla bla magazine or something. all of the sudden i remembered i accidentally called their # on beginning of this month. I called my bank and reported fraud transaction. bank is gonna take care of everything within 10 days and theyre gonna send me new card. how can these kind of scams still exist in usa. how come prosecutors don't do any thing  . soooo pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BBB Complaint: This company stole an unauthorized debit charge from my bank account in the amount of 39.95.
On July 16, 2013, Unified Benefit Advantage, or Benefit Advantage (the customer service rep ***** who wouldn't give me her last name or put me in touch with a manager, told me unified at first and then said no unified in the name when I asked to clarify), conducted an UNAUTHORIZED debit charge from my bank account under the charge name of "XXXXXXX ID SENTINEL ALERT XXX-XXXXXXX VA Card." The number I called to inquire about this unauthorized debit was 1-877-569-3529. All they said to me was that a refund would be made within 4-10 business days. They would not give me a confirmation number. They used my debit card to make the charge, and I have no idea how they received my debit card information. My guess is possibly through another online ordering service that perhaps sold my card information to this scam service. In addition to this charge, a similar unauthorized charge in the amount of $29.99 occurred on the same day by Preferred Reader Service (1-866-856-4085) and I suspect the two businesses/scam services are involved together somehow. Not only do I need a refund immediately as these unauthorized charges nearly made my account negative and are completely unaffordable for my budget, I am very worried that these companies may have lied to me and will not reimburse my account as the service reps said over the phone. I want to report this theft and hold them accountable. Can they be prohibited from operating any longer? Can I sue them somehow? What actions can be done? Looking online, this company has done this to numerous other people. - See more at: http://www.bbb.org/norfolk/business-reviews/m ... aints#breakdown  NOT RESOLVED AND NOT ACCREDITED and twenty complaints to the BBB which company resolved and also changed their phone number.

.Hmmmm, looks like another victim here.  When asked this, "Are you over 55 then we have a special offer for you, please hold. They came on the line and said that I could receive this 100 voucher for retail stores. I got suspicious after I got suckered in and called the same number ten minutes later and it was a recording. "Congratulations you have won a two day cruise to the Bahamas'.  Now calling a third time they switched back to the 100 voucher for people over 55. I said no this time to being over 55. Then they asked if I was under 55 and offered the same 100 voucher. This was not a delightful senior select moment of receiving benefits from aging if youngsters get it to. THEY ARE TRICKSTERS AND BAD BAD BAD!!!

CROOKED DOGS and we should all call, get info on who they are and nail them ha!! Its 877 451 7905 UNITED BENEFITS ADVANTAGE was the number that first linked me to this number to cancel. Perfect name hey and they take advantage alright of other people's hard earned money. Anyway the number who is charging the 29.99. Its 888 235 9042 for voucher. They said you can cancel within 18 days before debit. Card is charged or should I say CONNED.  888 645 2558 for PREFERRED READER offer also can be cancelled and not debited within 18 days.

I thought YIKES SCAMMERS AGAIN after I gave them 3.95 for both offers.  They said I can cancel in 18 days and my account would not be debited 39.99 at 888 235 9042. The number was United Benefit and its 877 451 7905. Once she roped me in to the Walmart Target 100 voucher after you spend 100 and keep receipts you can send them in and its reimbursed. By the time I send that in they will be out of Dodge with my money and yours to I'm thinking.  LYING CROOKED DOGS!!!  SHEESH.......................calling this minute to cancel and bank not to authorize charge.

I also received a call from this number saying I had won a free $100. voucher to be used at several stores including Walmart and Home Depot. They would not take my Capital One card saying it was not acceptable because it was a prepaid card. I told them it was not a prepaid card. They insisted it was and of course accepted my debit card number......then switched me to another person for my confirmation number at which time I was cut off. When I tried to call back I only get a recording that says all our operators are busy and please hold....after 5 minutes I hung up and called my bank at which time I canceled my debit card and ordered a new one......this is a scham!!!!!! Be careful out there.

EVERYONE READ THIS!!!! Unfortunately all of you people who were scammed out of money by these guys DON"T LISTEN when they're talking to you on the phone. I know because I listen to your calls in the capacity of "QA". If you were to listen to everything the seller says, he tells you in the beginning that "This call will be recorded". I do cancel orders that the sellers commit fraud on. Unfortunately because you DON"T LISTEN, they are able to charge your credit card because they state "And to confirm your acceptance to bill your (CARD TYPE) card monthly on the terms I just described, and send your welcome packages and $100 in gas vouchers, please state your full name please." AS SOON AS YOU STATE YOUR NAME, you're giving them the authority to charge your card. Technically it's not a scam. They're just taking advantage of your stupidity and inability to listen properly. NEVER STATE YOUR NAME when a phone solicitor calls you!!!!! I hate my job listening to these calls because it's so deceptive and I feel sorry for all the stupid people out there but I need the job. My conscious does require me to at least post this note for you so you might understand better how these telemarketers work. Please heed my advice in the future and ALWAYS remember...NOTHING IS FREE. If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS! Didn't your mother or father ever tell you that? Stop trying to get a $1000 Walmart gift card or Dell computer for taking a survey or for paying a small shipping fee. God, don't be so gullible or stupid. No one is ever going to give you anything of any value for nothing. NOTHING IS FREE! When you sign up for some stupid offer you see on TV or the web, those companies sell your name, phone number, address, and credit card information to other telemarketing companies. That's why once you begin to get calls; you start to constantly get more. Grow up people and think before you give anyone any personal information. Most importantly...LISTEN when someone calls you because the way they speak, they depend on you not picking up on the details of what they're saying.

FYI

I kept getting calls on my cell phone from this number and suspected it was "telemarketing related" since they never left a number.

The caller ID showed up as 518-300-3374 but I managed to get them to tell me the name of their company: United Benefit Advantage and their number 1-888-235-9042.  Needless to say I'm not interested in whatever it is they are peddling, but since I'm on the "Do not Call" registry I will be filing a complaint.

just had 39.95$$$ tanken out of my bacnk account by this number! My advice is to make sure you are banking with a bank that will refund you for it and file a claim on them. Than cancel your card and get a new one if it continues to happen. KEEP A CLOSE EYE on your ACCOUNT!!
