I am getting harassing phone calls

A relative and a neighbor  of mine received severally from these clown with the same kind of threats. It seems like the guy who I suspect is calling under several alias's (Joseph Cambell,Anthony Leclair,Peter borzac, and Chris Dubay) have obtained old debt buying data and are attempting to collect illegally. In my case the debt was settled years ago. I think the above mentioned are the same person because they asound alike and are linked to the same numbers. This guy will call everyone in your neighborhood and spout off a bunch of random legal terms in an attempt to get money out of someone who doesn't know any better. Please DO NOT send this bottom feeder a dime and report this guy to your attorney general.

Yes he called me also leaving message w one of my relatives stating i going to be served w court papers and go to jail scaring my aunt and that is not very professional that he discuss any clients business w any person other than who u need to be speaking w he was trying to use scary words like theft n jail and stating he was sending the police to my house that was going to kick in my door get the locks changed bc I refused to turn in items however the items was returned and I know that they were maybe one of Aaron's employees took n to let the blame fall on someone else anyways he said I owed $2000 n it needed to be paid that day or etc i did make one payment on items that I did not have I called back to get to lower the payment and they refused also saying that I would not be getting receipts for payment so if i can't get a receipt to know where my money going then you can't get my money nor can you send me any paper work about this issue or give me names so he needs to stop saying that he is a lawyer n calling from his legigation office bc that's bs he is in a collection office and all debts are civil not criminal n by law a person can only pay what is reasonable to them that want cause them hardship as long as its (the bill) is being paid

Total scam!

I received a call from a described process server telling me that I was going to be sued on Friday.  Today is Wednesday by the way.  I was to told to contact Anthony LeClaire Attorney at Law to discuss and resolve the matter.  I called the number and got the voice mail message and while I was in the process of calling back again to leave a message a person named Anthony LeClaire called me from the same number.  He said he works out of DC and monitors court filings in district courts.  He told me I was having charges filed against me for theft by Aarons Rent to Own in Texas.  He said the total debt was 2000 plus dollars but could offer me  a settlement of $1630.00.  When I told him I wasn't sure the debt was legitimate he said I did not return a PS3 and a laptop.  We only rented a TV and a PS3 from them but I recall being behind on the payments.  He said the theft charges would be considered a misdemeanor but by paying the amount of $1630.00 the charges would be dropped.  I told him I did not have that amount right now and asked if I could make payments.  He said I could break the amount up over two payments equally one today and one by the end of next month.  He said he would call back tomorrow for the payment.  What made me curious was how he would have know a case was pending being filed against me in two days for a debt that is over 4 years old.  Then when he said a payment the day before the lawsuit being filed and me being served really got me thinking.  After researching this I landed here and this has been very helpful.

I am recieving calls from a blocked number telling me to call the above number to reach to LAW Office of Anthony LeClaire. They are saying to be at my address or place of work with two forms of ID to accept papers that Im being served, but wont tell me by who! I find this all funny, who the hell purposely waits for and accept papers. They used a funnier tactic a few months ago telling me a lien would be placed against my taxes...I tild them go ahead...nothing happened. I dont mind paying my bills, but when the company I owed money got me screwed out of $550.00 then I have a problem. Needless to say NEVER rent anything from Aaron's!!!! They are shysty and so is this LeClaire guy! I went to school be a paralegal so if he knows like I know he will lay off before I file harrassment against him!

888-236-9842 is the "Offices of Anthony Le Clare".  He is a small time collections guy.  He uses threatening tactics, including filing court documents and entering guilty please on his target's behalf.  If you call him back, he is rude.  If you have no clue who he is calling about, as in my case, he tries to get any and all information about the person he wants from you anyway.  I repeatedly tell him I have no idea who he is looking for, but he won't give up.  He uses the services of Diversified Consultants, a larger collections agency, specifically to leave voicemails telling you to call his 888 number or you are going to be served with court papers.
