Called and asked for me by name (mispronounced of course) when I kept saying what can I do for you, he hung up. I called back and found out it was Amex. I called American Express, where I have three diffferent accounts, all in good standing. I told them to get these calls stopped, that if the price of doing business with Amex is telephone solicitor calls, I would get out of the Amex business entirely and do business with some other company. Amex told me it may take up to thirty days to stop the calls, but if I get any more, into the shredder goes the old American Express cards along with the ones my employees carry.

They are employed by a 3rd party contracted by Amex. They are not employees of Amex. However it is a bit unnerving Amex divulges my charging habits with 3rd parties albeit direct 3rd parties however 3rd parties just the same.

I too was suspicious and that's how I found this site. However I just called American Express and they looked into it and confirmed that it is a legit American Express Open call and that the person is an employee of American Express.

your message is totally incorrect. they have helped me. they never ask for your account information because they already have it.. they are here to help nothing more. you can verify who they are by calling the number on the back of your american express card. it's not a fraud and if you had done that you would have known.
