this is the call I received on June 11th at 12:05pm.
My brother received a call on his voicemail from a recorded message stating it was Camden County Court calling looking for me regarding a legal matter or something like that.

by the notes above - this is definitely a scam-  i just got a call myself on a loan from few years back - saying i am supposed to be in court and this is the first i hear of this- he said well i have a few other calls to make before i send them out to the field to serve papers give ss group a call and see what it is about-  scary! since i have never had issues with courts before  this is not a good call to receive at work

So i got a cal from ss group about a payday loan from 2009. They say they will serve me papers for fad if i don't pay. One person i talk to says they will work with me so he puts me on hold the next guy i talk to says they can't work with me and i might get served papers tonight. What is up with that??

SS Group called one of my previous employers in Rochester, NY stating some legal manners were pending before the Ontario District Court.  I left Rochester in 2008.  Amazingly I received the same message at home (same day), this time stating that the legal manners were pending before the Imperial County District Court.  I left the Imperial County in 2011.  Definitely this is a fishing expedition to extort money from people.  Little do they know I am actually a federal law enforcement officer.  I am going to talk to them and if I do not get any valid answers, I will file a complaint with the FBI.   If any of you are interested, you can file a comlaint too @ www.ic3.gov.

If enough complaints are filed, I am certain the FBI will take action.

I used to work for a debt settlement company and we worked hand in hand with creditors and the actual customers to get a negotiation in favor of the customer.  This is a tactic to get you to pay.  DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOU!  No bank account information or anything else.  They may tell you they're not a creditor or a collection agency but they are.  The first thing to do is to get them to send you something in writing and let them know once you get that then you can call them and set something up.  The funny thing is I got a call from them today saying I owe $1369.27 from a pay day loan from DSI Lending Resources from 2009!  (really ppl?!) By knowing how all of this works and the actual moves that were gonna be made I was ready (and kinda excited!)  lol  I first asked the guy his name and let him talk.  Once it was my turn I politely asked him how much was the original debt and he told me he didnt know nor did he have that information but all he knows is that I owe the amount above.  I politely told him again well since you found my phone number and my grandma's phone number you can find the original amount and send me something in writing and once I get it I'll call you to either settle it or make a payment arrangement.  He told me that he didn't work in a collection agency and he only represents the client.  Once again I asked him to send it to me and he told me he couldn't because he didn't have it.  I advised him if he can't send it to me then he can go ahead and file the court papers or better yet told him to pick me up on his way to the court house so we can car pool.  lol I think that really ruffled his feathers and told him I'll be waiting on my letter, not to call me anymore, and to have a great day!  bhahahahahaha  oh the number that was left on my vm was 855-266-1247

The company keeps harassing me and I found out that it's a scam. I told them to stop calling or I would call my local police department and now they call blocked.

I just called the ss group...855-261-9696. they told me, rudely, that I owe debt with Rac, and I fraudulently took out a loan with them. he threatened to take me to court but didn't ask for my address or anything! It's a scam!

My brother in law called to tell me someone called him saying i needed to call back immediately that i was being served and i called to a 855 number and i was being threatened by several different guys that i had a debt with RAC and i owed 1500 and needed to pay immediately or i was going to court. I told them i needed something in the mail as proof of who i was dealing with and they said i had to make arrangements before they send me any paperwork. I told them i wasn't going to do it so they should send me to court and hung up on them. Then my wife googled and found out its all a scam. The number that called was 1 855 261-7345.

I received a call from my brother the other night who got a message that was left on his recorder, saying that they were looking for me. That they had several counts of theft on me that they were going to serve me,and needed to get in touch with me. They also called a friend of mine . They spoke his mother and told the same story. I returned the call and found out what everything was about, They passed me on to some sr. person and he got extremely rude,  Told me that he had my ss# and lic#, and that he had video of me in the store, Yes he did . I interviewed for a job with RAC. Anyway in the end I told him he'd better have his ducks in a row and his proof in pen and ink. That he wasn't getting anything from me It was from a similar number that was calling.

I was told I didn't pay of a bank loan. I was supposed to pay of this lean or go to court. They to are claiming as SSgroup. I am scared. I called the place of business that I set up to pay the credit debt and the said it was out of business. When they called, they had my mom's boyfriends number. I don't know whatever they are doing but when doing the recording she asked if I had any questions. I asked if I could get statements sent to me of all my payments and she said, we don't do that. You'll just get a paper with the amounts owed. What am I suppressed to think? I tried to see if they were local and it is said that they aren't. I don't have any info. They didn't even ask for my address when seeing up the payments. Now they are threatening to come after me because the money wasnt there and I told the lay I couldn't pay until that Saturday.

They called and left a message for my disabled daughter.  They stated they were filing litigation on a number of issues.  They initially called from 888-638-1901.  When calling back they were nasty, demanding and would not idetify who they were other than SS Group, a ltigation company.  However the number is registered to  New Plymouth Florist and Balloon in New Plymouth, ID.  When I got to the 888-251-3677 I got some one who stated that the previous number was a locate service employeed by his company and that I needed to reference the case number now so he could deal with me.  When I refused he got abrasive and told me it would only make matters worse.  I hung up and made a complaint with the FTC

I got calls today from the same company.  I just called the number this post is about to check because it sounded like the same thing.  The person who was calling me and my family stating that they were trying to send me a summons to court gave me the number (888) 647-7330.

They refused to give me an address, documentation, or any further information except that someone would be serving me and that my case was no longer in their office so they didn't have to give me anything.

They left me a message stating I have been "officially notified" that they are filing a law suit against me.  The number they left is 888-651-1434.  When I called the number, the recorded voice is the same one that left me the message.  A "Venessa Cruz or Cruise"  Funny thing is, they had the right first name but wrong last name.  Whenever I called back I got a recording and then it said to press 0 to speak to the first available legal assistant.  When I pressed 0, I got a recording to leave a message.

Yeah, right.  

Since I do not have any outstanding debts, can only imagine what they're scamming for.  Sure do hope they call me back.  I haven't had a good time at a debt collectors expense since the 80s.

I also called the County Court House/Clerk of the Court where they said they were filing the lawsuit.  No such court case number and nothing under my name.

They keep calling my house for my ex's step-daughter.  I've told them I know nothing of her, as I don't speak with those rock dwelling people-nor do I care to! The caller stated they would remove my number from her file, apparently they haven't, as they keep calling here!!  The one cb number "Brent" left was 888-890-0885.  Please quit calling my house!! That subpar non-human doesn't live here!

Guys, these people are running a similar scam to the one in india.  What scares me is that they sound American - We now have Americans scamming Americans!!! The Indian scammers have to be behind this.  Either that, or the Indian scams were orchestrated by an American company, and now the company is becoming bolder as the Indian/Pakistani scammers continue to get away with it.

These people can do nothing to you.  Tell them all to eat s*** and die.

they called me too with all kinds of threat, including jail time and seizure of my property.  they represent themselves as officers of the court, refuse to put anything in writing.  when they ccalled me the phone showed "blocked caller", so i let it go to voice mail then called the number back that they left 888-251-3677, and then spoke with a "senior legal advisor" named rob gardner.  told him to go pound salt.

I guess I too shall add me 2 cents.......I also received a call from these people, only the number on my caller ID is "000" and I was also threatend to be served then after I kept on insisting what was this regarding I was given the number 1-888-837-3859.  I still have yet to call that number but this sounds very fishy!!!!

I would like to know what its regarding; just haven't had the chance to call back and see what avenue they try to go with me.  LOL.

The people using this number call them selves SS group. They told me the sanething I was going to be served with papers if I didn't setup payments. They are rude and demanding. I am unemployed and they acted like I still had to pay them or go to court I told them to take me to court because I'm unemployed and you can't garnish wages while getting unemployment

The same number called me to. First they called everyone in the phone book with the same last name! I know cause Im related to all of them. Is this really some kind of scam? They said someone had filed a formal complaint against me and call 8886170739 to talk to the plaintiff.

Yes they called me as well.  They told me that if I didnt call to settle debt they would file with the courthouse in the county I use to live in.  Only diff is the number 8886170739

They called my work and tried to tell me they were going to call their server in my area in 20 minutes to have me served and tack on an additional $1500.00 fine to my account if I didn't pay right now.  I asked them send me a debt validation letter 5 times and they changed the subject every time.  I called my county courthouse and they said they do not have any cases filed against me and the collection agency would need to file a case before they can have me served.

Only difference, they called me from 888-613-0401.
