Got a call from this #, didn't pick up, looked up their # and found this thread.

Another scam job, I was supposed to be served 3 weeks ago on a debt that they couldn't even tell me who it was for LOL. Wonder if they have changed their number/name yet?

Anyone calling and threatening you with litigation and doesn't even have the original loan information wouldn't be a legit collection agency!

Reported to the BBB, FTC and state AG, I encourage to do so as well. If they are threatening you, call local law enforcement and note & save any information said. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO WHAT SO EVER, EVEN THE LAST 4 DIGIT OF YOUR SSN!!!

I have a new  cell phone number, and the first thing I did was put the number on the DO NOT CALL list. I have been receiving "missed calls" from 800-681-5823, and 888-258-5843 twice daily.  I called them yesterday, and asked that they stop calling; received another call last night.  I called them again today, and explained that this was the second time I had requested that they stop calling.

This is NOT an INSURANCE company!!  The company is First Revenue Assurance primarily based out of Colorado. Also have centers in Indianapolis and Dallas. Purchases bad debt on credit cards, student loans, pretty much anything they can get their hands on or debts that other companies cannot collect on.  You can find out about their operations easily on the Internet and see a list of complaints filed against them (including pending legal actions)  Debt collector/skip tracing organization.  Leaving messages on my machine regarding a person I've never heard of---not to mention extremely rude.  How desperate can you get?!?

I know there first revenue insurance: But are they sale's calls, or what?  They call my house constantly.....

Constantly calling....sometimes twice a day....leaves messages call the 888 number back.....don't want to give them any of my info so I don't call back. How do i get them to stop calling?????

They keep repeatedly calling different numbers at my workplace leaving messages on every ones vm saying will be serving me papers and other threats. I have attempted to call back and just gives me a recording.

I just got a call yesterday from 1-888-258-5840 x4110 from a guy named Mr. Hawkins. He sounded so serious like he was going to take legal action if we didn't call. The funny thing is, he said he was calling from MST and said that would be around 3pm my time -- I LIVE IN COLORADO!!! He also stated he was calling from First Revenue Assurance. When I called back, I was warned the call would be recorded. Before I was put through to the extension number, I hung up and Google'd the company. Thank you for all this information. At least I know this is a scam to be aware of! I'm also on the National Do NOT call register so I don't know how this fool got my number! If they keep harassing me, I will take legal action. BEWARE!

have some returned emails 550 user unknown... anyone have an updated emails list at first revenue...

every time I get a call I foreward an email to all the email addresses of the company... guess they will change addresses down the line, but at least they have to delete the messages for now... small act of defience but what else do I have... at 70 not a lot of excitement in my life anyway... got this call several days in a row.  did not pickup the phone.

Apparently this number is used by First Revenue Assurance in order to trick you into answering the phone, because they didn't get a response on other numbers from which they call.  They probably want to shake some money loose for a student loan I defaulted on when I lost my job due to the failing economy.  Since Bush wouldn't bail me out, I'm not bailing anybody else out, either.  His cronies made a fortune on rapacious student loans and the can be satisfied with the profits from those endeavors.  I'm 57, going blind, and plan to have this discharged in bankruptcy court.  You can petition for that relief if you can no longer reasonably be expected to work a full-time job in a field that will earn enough money to repay the loan due to a disability.  Even student loans can be discharged in bankruptcy if you have a disability.  Talk to several bankruptcy attorneys to get details on how this can be done.

I want to stop these harrassing phone messages!!

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number...How can I stop it!

Harassing calls at work.

I get two to  three call a day from this number. I don't answer it and they often come in under different numbers, they are at least, getting smarter. But I don't answer any calls I don't know the caller. And that is terrible that there are so many skammers out there that we cannot get complete use of our telephones without being pertered by crooks.

wow...after reading all these im glad i disputed this bill on my credit report. i check my credit every week online and outta the blue this bill shows up last week for $389. i just finished cleanin up my credit and someone else is tryin to get money.i have disputed it and am glad i decided to check out other ppl who also got scammed.

The calls just started yesterday always late evening.I'm not going to return the call, never asked for anyone. who is this ?????
