Any ideas who calls from this number?

scummy company calls w this number as well as some from 716 area code.  Calls my office with number blocked.  broke a few FDCPA rules right off the cuff:  asked them to validate debt in writing to home address and not to call me at work- they hung up on me, called again and asked for my boss this time.   Then demanded a fax # so they could fax in a wage garnishment execution.  told them I have no judgment against me and refuse to provide the fax #.  surprise! get hung up on again, a different girl calls in asking for fax and hearing my voice says "i need to speak with a supervisor, not some stupid kid.  If you cant transfer me or provide a working fax number i will simply send a process server and you can accept a lawsuit in person at your place of work" (caller sounded about 15yrs old herself).  Oy.  I transfer the call to a conference room and now with privacy inquire "is this a law office," am told "yes this is." I continue: "you cannot be a law office.  what lawyer or paralegal would claim they have a wage garnishment execution and then threaten to send a process server?  you can't obtain a wage garnishment without first obtaining a judgment against the debtor, which cant begin until service of the lawsuit has been rendered. I am requesting that you not contact me at this office, ever again."  Then they hung up on me, again, not to call back.  Next time, these scumbags go right to voicemail- they are clowns with nothing to go on but empty threats.

These dumbasses should know that when they start their spill stating that they are "Mr Investigator James Stone" that no reasonable human being is going to fall for it.  "Law firm"?? Yeah, more like Clown College LOL....Jack Mehoff Law Firm LOL.....Dont you have weed to smoke???    Nice try though "Mr Investigator Queef" and I SURE hope you read this.  HAHAHA!!!  Yeah thats me LMAO at you dumb s**t!!!  Tell your mom I said Hi!!! Glad to see this.  I was freaking out when they were leaving me message about bringing a summons to my work, etc.  How can these people sleep at night knowing that they are scaring people half to death with their verbage?  Yes, i screwed up and did not pay back a payday loan 4 years ago..however, (not an excuse but true) - My wife gave birth to spontaneous triplets and lost her "bread winner" job.  Its cool because i do not mind working two jobs to make ends meet but man, we are living paycheck to paycheck and then hearing about this almost made me vomit.  I don't need any "wise" remarks from anyone stating that "it is my responsibility to pay back what i owe.  Yeah - it IS my responsibility but more importantly - taking care of my family comes first and foremost. Bill collectors can wait until we file for banfruptcy.

JEC Group is actually a part of a company called Northtown Capital. These guys are simply people who purchase debt and then try to scare you into paying.

It's almost funny reading their "About Us" section after experiencing on of their collector's calls.

This one clown actually tried to ask me if I was calling because charges were being pressed against me. I laughed and said that if he was really an "attorney" then he would know that threatening criminal prosecution in the process of collecting a debt is completely illegal..

DON'T FALL FOR IT. Treat them as you would any other collection agency..

I received a phone call from a "so-called" summons processor and she said that she needed to serve me and wanted to know where she could do this?. I asked her what it was for and she said she couldn't tell me because the papers were sealed, and then proceeded to tell me the company name, contact person and the phone number. Cannot find anything on these people. What's the deal here, and who are these people?

Got a call from this number stating a matter with my social security number and possible identity theft has come up with this SSN & name. They left this phone, extension and case #. I have called several times during regular business hours and left messages. I have not received any calls back. Also, the message I rec'd stated they were trying to verify my employment and position. Sounds like a bill collectors trick to get you to call back. But they never answer nor call back.

called my cell and left a message for someone else. said that they had a summons for that person that would be delivered to home or work by the end of business unless they called back. they called at 3p. isn't general end of business 5p? it has to go through court, so that's a quick summons. googled number and nothing came up. also think it's illegal to leave this type of info in a voicemail,.,.? called from unknown - most legit companies do not.
