Cannot get the name of the company out of there employee, who keeps calling us, quickly goes into the whole speech, wanting to ask questions about our company.

So, why would we want to give out information, regarding our company, to a company that we don't know anything about or even the name of the company.  The lady couldn't even pronounce the name of our company, correctly.  When asked what Country she was from, she replied "Florida".  Since when is Florida a "county", sure, it is one of 50 States, of the United States, but certainly is not a Country.

Wish we could find out the name of there company, without them ignoring our questions, in return.  Wish they would also stop calling.  If they were smart, they would Google the name of our company, to find out what kind of Company we are.

Called office phone 3x in about 2 hours. Went to message twice and didn't leave anyting.  Third time rang 4x and hung up.

We've been receiving calls from this number for weeks now.  Every time they call it's a hangup and this has become very annoying.  When I tried to call the number back, no one answered and the line clicked off.  What's it going to take to put these idiots out of business or at least block them from calling people over and over?  I'd really like to know who they are and how to reach them?

Yes,  I just followed the instructions above and it worked.  I called 1-866-868-9314 and requested my number to be removed.  We'll see if it ends the calls, but as soon as I promptly made that request, they appeared compliant.  

What a pain these kinds of operations are!

just had a call a little while ago from this # listed.  The caller gave me my address and asked if the address was correct when I said yes- he asked my name.  I thought for a minute it was Direct TV calling confirming an appointment.  Once I told them my name they asked if this was a business or residence.  When I said residence they said thanks and hung up.  I never give out that info-  I don't know why I did this time.  I tried calling the # back but it would not even ring- it would just dis-connect.  The man on the other end sounded foreign.

Just got a call from them.  She said "I wanted to confirm that you are still at xxxxx street"  I replied, "I just wanted to confirm that you are asking for my address without first telling me who you are..." Of course they hung up.

No idea who this company is. I was expecting a call, thus I intercepted it. The caller on the other end was male with an arabic accent asking to confirm my address. There was a great deal of noise in the background making me think perhaps the caller was in a bar. When I inquired who was calling and their purpose the caller promptly hung up. Thus far, no return calls. It strikes me as odd and in this day and age of home invasions and other crimes it unsettles me.

Just got a call from this number.  I answered, and about 1.5 seconds later, a female says "hello?".  Lots of background chatter.  I hung up.

This number has been calling me for days. Today there were 8 (EIGHT) voicemails from them! Each time, I could hear noise in the background and some stupid individual asking for confirmation of my address. Repeatedly asking my machine and saying hello? hello?

They've called me three times within a half hour. Every time I answer, they hang up.  Very annoying.

Same story here too.  We've received 2 hang up calls from this number in 2 hours.  When I call back, I get a message saying that they wanted to ask me some "environmental questions" about my business but I was unavailable so they found someone else.  When I tried to report another number like this, I received a form letter saying that the do no call list doesn't apply to business lines so tough luck.

THIS 888-288-7668 AUTODIALER HAS CALLED ME THREE TIMES, TODAY, AND MULTIPLE TIMES ON OTHER RANDOM DAYS.  THE INTERNET BUZZ IS THAT THIS SCUM COMPANY IS ***RELENTLESSLY*** CALLING NUMBERS TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE BUSINESS LINES.  THIS 888-288-7668 AUTODIALER MAY BE THE SAME COMPANY THAT IS CALLING OUT VIA 888-518-0186, WITH THE SAME TACTICS.

ATT AND OTHER PHONE COMPANIES GIVE THE MIDDLE FINGER TO CUSTOMERS PESTERED BY THESE CALLS (AFTER ALL, ATT SELLS THE SERVICE!), AND THE DO-NOT-CALL GOV SITE, WITH NO CONTACTS AND NO INDIVIDUAL FOLLOW-UP, IS LIKE PISSING IN THE WIND (STILL, I USE IT, FIGURING THAT THE MORE WHO COMPLAIN...).

WE NEED A ***TELCO INSIDER*** TO LOOK UP THESE NUMBERS AND SPILL THE BEANS ON THE SCUM COMPANY MAKING THE CALLS...ITS OWNER, LOCATION, AND NON-800/888 LAND LINES...SO THAT WE MAY CALL THE SCUM AND HARASS THEM IN THE SAME WAY WITHOUT BEING 800/888-CALLER-ID'ED.

Same deal, call every few days, no message, no one there when I pick up.

This "Green Initiatives, LLC" (1-866-868-9314) company did not call me, but sent me a 'snail mail' requesting that I add my business to their directory, and charge me $49.99 a month via my phone bill for the service. I believe that they found me via my website. My business is a small, family-owned-and-operated business that couldn't afford such a fee, but even if my business could afford it, the charge seems needlessly excessive. Plus, they didn't even ask if we WERE green! If you pay, they will list you! I could be the worst polluter known to man, and be listed if I simply paid for the service! Cool beans, although I don't really care one way or another. It seems like a scam to me!

Hard to believe it's just a coincidence since it's happened several time...first my cell phone starts ringing, then, within ten seconds (while the cell phone is still ringing), my office line starts ringing.  Both calls show this number on the caller ID.  It's a little spooky since I don't give out my cell phone number to very many people, and I have to believe it's someone who knows that both numbers are owned by the same person since they're calling them both at the same time.  I have suspected a creepy guy I used to go out with, but maybe that's just paranoia since I see that others have reported calls from this same number.

They need to follow the rules Do Not Call, for I will never answer the phone , just wasting their time..

They call 3 times a day:  morning, mid afternoon, evening.  They somehow have my cell number, too.  The interesting twist is that they call my office and my cell numbers simultaneously...so both phones ring and both flash the same number:  888-288-7668!  

On the Do Not Call list for both numbers!!!!!

How do we make them stop?  It is very embarrassing to let your phones ring when with a client....but I fear that if I answer, they will call even more!

OnDonotCallListSince1day is correct, this is findagreenbusiness.net and is owned by Green Initiatives, LLC. I'm guessing they are get around the do not call list by pretending to take a survey. They are in fact telemarketers trying to get small businesses to list on their directory. They tell you it is free and they do not collect any information. These people are very deceptive and unethical. They use what is called "cramming" to charge you through your phone bill and try to trick you into saying "yes" to get your permission. Anyway talked to rep who stated they were calling to verify information that can be found under Google, Yahoo, etc for their online Green Business Directory...  She read off the: contact name, business name, business address.  She also told me her name.  All of which information is I am sure BS.  I Googled the information she gave me, and did not find my phone number on anything.  Nor can I find it on anything.

In a calm respectful voice, I informed her it was not the correct information for my phone number and requested that she remove me from her database.  

If you don't answer the phone and tell them to remove your number, then they have the right to call again and again.  So don't be a chicken and answer the

phone.  After you tell all these people to REMOVE you from their lists, you will stop getting calls.  Ignoring them is not a way to solve it.

I keep a log with date & time of companies who I request to remove me from their lists.
