Have had several calls on my cell phone from this number 888 292 3827 and I answer and they/ it hangs up. Getting rather anouing.

We have Windstream and their "wonderful crap-tastic service". I am not sure about a land line, but try Huesnet for your internet service. Yup its Windfail. Though they have gotten better in the past few months....it ONLY took 2 (TWO) years to get better. Oh well same boat as many others, north ga. has no options.

Yes, I received this call today, Some one was supposed to be at my home today to look at my phone not working and my DSL. No one showed up but received a call from this number. And as normal can't get any satisfactory results. Have to wait forever to talk to someone Have been on hold for 10 minutes after Maggie from the main number transferred me.

My sentiments exactly!  I and my neighbors have filed complaints with the PCS and gotten a form letter response saying that they are trying to improve their service.  What a joke!  It really irratates me when they thank me for being a customer as well, AS IF we had any choice.  We tried to see if BREMC would come in and offer service to our little community and they said it would be cost prohibitive, so we're just stuck with Windstream.

Their service has deteriroated.  I now get about 1.12 mbps compared to the 12 mbps I am paying for.  I am into the second week of about a month before I switch to suddenlink.  While I have not had disconnects the only time I get more than about 7 mbps is when nobody is on the system.  I figure I will have to have to go with suddelink some time this month.

It would be helpful if they revealed who they are on the caller ID. I blocked them b/c I just thought it was an annoying telemarketer.

Windstream service was out Monday for about 3 hours. No fault of yours. Problem with electric service in De Queen No problem now. Thankyou very much for checking back. HARLEY

Yes, it's probably Windstream tech support.  They just called me in middle Georgia a few minutes after the Windstream technician left the house.  He had been here about an hour and a half, rewiring my DSL line.  I guess I'll answer the call next time, if they call back.

Where I live windstream is my ONLY choice for land-line/dsl service... they thanked me for being a customer for almost 10 years... I told them I would go elsewhere if possible. They just called my cell phone from the 888 number listed - even though they are very aware of my land-line.... anyone want to start a phone company or offer satellite internet or wire folks for cable in the north Georgia mountains??? please???

Correct I did request a call back from Windstream. little bit late but they call back.

I have received a couple calls today from this number which is registered to Windstream Communications.  No message is left and upon answering there is silence.

Yes, Windstream reporting that service in the area has been restored.

Just found out that the number 888-292-3827 is tech support information from Windstream.

Called me last night.

It was a requested call from Windstream.  They were informing their customer(s) that the DSL and/or communication phone line outage has been restored.  In my case, it was the DSL that was out.  They apparently do not have the automated dialer set to leave a voice message when it is calling a cell phone.

No solicitation from this number.

This is Windstream Communications.  Not a marketing call.  I received one telling me an outage had been repaired.
