I got calls from them all the time .Please Stop !!!!

I just added Mr. Number.  Whe they call, the phone automatically hang up.  Doesnt even ring to me.  There calling about 12x daily.  Mr. Number will let you know a call was blocked.  But since this place cant leave messages I fugured this was my only solution.

If you are getting calls from the a*holes just block their calls. They are not going to stop if you tell them they have the wrong number, send them them a certified letter, report them to do not call list or report them to your attorney general.
If you have a home phone all you need to do is get a phone with caller id block. Uniden and Panasonic make them now. The uniden I have does not even ring once, just blocks their calls. If they call on your cell and you do not have caller id block, just save them as a contact and set their ringtone to no ring.

More calls as the days go by. Have put on block as " out of service" thru CallAlert.

They call about 4-5 times daily

They are a collection agency call Align Interstate.

Rob- You're an a**. Did it ever occur to you that sometimes good hard working people fall on hard times due to health, unexpected expenses or unexpected layoffs? No, you probably never did think of that. Perhaps you should try putting yourself in someone else's shoes and just think for a moment what they may be going through.

Corporations are never responsible for anything even if they ruin your life, the economy, and create a world financial crisis. Your company doesn't care how you feel. The only reason they pay you is because they'll get sued and lose.Stop working so much and get a life.

Called 7 times in a 10 hour period!! All times of the day also-- no regard for the law.

888-297-4209 is ALLIED INTERSTATE, a low-life debt collector. Their main purpose is call harassment. File complaint with the FTC. With enough complaints maybe additional govt sanctions will be put on these people.

Well, we can certainly hope.

CALLING EVERYBODY

They call anywhere from 10-20 times a day and calls come in at 10:45 PM! WTH?!?!?! They never even leave a message!

Amazing!  We just got a new Net10 phone in the mail and got it working less than an hour hour ago with a number that Net10 assigned to us.  We have not even had time to give any friends and relatives this number  and shortly after we get a call from these scumbag people on this new phone.  They don't know who owns this phone and we owe no debts.  Looked up number and saw this site naming this company.

Someone calls from this numberand without leaving a message, just hangs up

The phone calls from this number [no name comes up on the caller id just the phone number] started on May 10. Whoever owns the phone number is a real dumbf**k as these people [person whoever the f**k ever] keep dialing the number to our business fax machine, thinking it's a real phone number when it's a business fax number they are calling. They do this all f**king day long, clogging our business fax machine, blocking other businesses from faxing us. We had tried calling the number but cannot ever get through. If these phone calls do not f**king stop, we will sue the phone company network that the number is on and we will sue whoever it is that is supposed to own the number.

ha ha ha pay your bills and you won't get called by debt collectors.  wonder how you'd feel if your company told you they'd pay you when they get a chance.  oh thats right, you don't work.  lazy whining, crybabies.  stay classy lib's!

These people called me at 7:03 AM!!!! This morning.  I thought they had to respect appropriate calling hours.  7 AM does not seem to be an appropriate time to me.  Looked it up and it says Allied?  I have no idea who they are or what they want.  No message and they just hang up when I answer.  RIDICULOUS!!

I got calls for a while and blocked the # now I get them again. I think you can only block it for 3 months. I will report.

Calls come in 10-20 times a day with no messages left. They call at 10:45 PM!!!! This has happened on multiple days. The only way I know the name is because so many others have posted about them.

Thanks to those who took the time to post specific information!  I've had 13 calls today alone, with the same MO others of you.  I did call the number and told them to take my number off their list.  I was told he would, and had him repeat the number to me.  Also told him I'd report to FCC and Attorney General's Office if I got one more call.

Thanks Walt!  I called 888-297-4209 today and waited for about 5 minutes and someone finally picked up (no music while waiting, no indication that you have actually connected).  I gave her my number (I called from a different phone) and she told me the name of the person they were trying to contact.  It was a name I've never heard of.  She said she would indicate that my number is a wrong number for that person.

I've had this with other phone numbers but in the past the collection company would at least leave a message!

For all of you that are being harrassed by calls from 888-297-4209, here is some good news. A website http://www.mycallbot.com/tags/allied-interstate has all the phone numbers assocaited with this garbage collection agency. Surprise, it is ALLIED INTERSTATE. File complaints with the FTC.

They started calling over a week ago.  Started out as one call a day.  After Thanksgiving it was up 8 calls a day.  I finally called 888-297-4209.  The man that answered (not a native English speaker) would not give his name.  He did say the number is for Allied Interstate which is a collection agency.  I asked why they keep calling my number.  He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him.  He asked if my name was xxxxxxx and if my address was xxxxx.  It wasn't my name or address. I did not give my name or address.  Apparently, the person they were trying to contact used my number on a credit app.  The gentleman assured me he would remove my number and appologized.  I did file a complaint with the FCC on their website per a recommendation from my local phone company.  The local phone company customer rep also recommended to continue calling these folks every day for the next few days and ask if my number was removed.  Will see what happens.  Hopefully, the calls stop.

They call every hour to hour and a half since Nov 24, 2010.  The few times I picked up no one answered.  No message is left.  Very annoying.

They have called 9 times on Thanksgiving Day with no message and all hours of the morning and night.
