Yeah, we're getting the same phone calls. The messages here are a relief to see.

We got couple calls from same the James. Yes he was rude and left a message that we could barely understand. I did the research and the company CSIR (CSI Recoveries) does exits. http://www.csirecovery.com/. What these people do is buy the debt and wok the settlements - they go after people that have been sued for 10 or a million dollars. The problem is that they dont do they due diligence. So your name might match with their records, but will not match the last 4 of the SSN.

The problem was solved by telling them they called a business and I am the person they were looking for (which it was really my roomate). They asked me if the last 4 of the SSN were mine - which were not, and that's it.

I was not asked any other question.

I received a call from some loud speaking male who said the matter was urgent and imperative that I call him back right away without any reason that he needed to speak to me. I called back and the message said it was CSI on a recording stating that if you have "case number" leave that and we will return your call. Is there a way to report them to the BBB or better yet, law enforcement?
The call was disturbing and upsetting to the family.

I just got a call from James as well, stating that if I don't call him back immediately he "won't be able to help me".  "This is a time sensitive matter," yet doesn't say to whom or what the problem relates.  Another number for the block list...

I have had 2 calls from this person in a very deep voice saying that he is from CSIR and they are calling me about a person who lives at my address and that I need to call them immediately. Called back and got no answer. Crazy person who tries to sound like a Police Investigator in order to freak people out. STOP CALLING PEOPLE!!!!!!

There's no such thing as a "new phone number".  Your new phone number is someone else's old phone number.  They may have given it up as recently as 3 weeks ago.  The call is probably aiming for the person who had the number before you got it.

I have a new phone number, and I've already received several calls from this individual. Man with a deep, threatening voice says he has to speak to me today regarding a person of interest at my address. I'm on vacation in Florida; no one else lives with me in Texas.

I filed a complaint just as Jersey Girl did. Thanks for the link. I hate...HATE...unsolicited calls, especially when they leave messages that are threatening and regarding no one you know.

Received a call today that there was a person of interest at this number and I needed to call them immediately.  I believe his name was "james" from "CSI".  Since I am the only person at this number, I can assure you, I am not his "person of interest".  Anyone know what the scam is?  How do we stop this?

They have called several times stating that there is a "person of interest" living at this address and that they need to hear back from me immediately. Very threatening sounding. I've called back and only received an answering service. They sound like a collection agency or telemarketer. I plan on blocking this number.

To follow up the comment I made, I called these people back again as they have called one more time. I got a lady named Jill whom I could understand. Asked where she is calling from and said "Huntington Beach, CA". Three calls in four days and four over the last nine days. Not that it will likely go anywhere but it is time to contact the State of CA Atty General's Office.

P.S. Now my caller ID says "Finders" instead of "CSIR".

I called just now to tell them to take my number off the calling list and the lady working at this con artist company was very rude and ignorant. I was asked if this was for someone named Lorena or something. Can't even get their lies together. She didn't like the tone of voice I was using and suggested if I was rude that she wouldn't help me. Well, lady, that is what happens when your con of a company pisses off the wrong person calling twice when I am on the do not call list.

LOL!  This number called my cell phone and said "you have a person of interest living at your address so you need to call us back immediately".  Well, just how would they know that without knowing my address?  This is a person from CSIR, a debt collector, so they definitely don't have the correct number, let alone, my address.  BTW, I think everyone at my address is interesting, so there!

"James Cache???" from "CSIR" was the information this chap left on his voice message. He used a low voice and a very serious tone to indicate that there was a "person of interest living at this address" and that I needed to call back immediately.  Called back in the evening with no answer. How many reports are needed before he gets blocked?

Received a call from this fool about 30 minutes ago.  This was my 2nd time.  Probably just kids thinking that it's funny but you never know.  I hung up immediately after the way the message started.  A true butt-hole.

Just got a call from this guy. I heard the message the other day but assumed it was some type of collection call.........he called again just a few minutes ago. and asked me to verify my name and social over the phone when I asked him what this was about he told me not to ask him any questions. I told him I din't give my social over the phone...asked him again where he was calling from he stated it was from CSIR..He was very demanding and very rude, I told him I didn't know what or whom he was looking for and then hung up.

This is the second time I am coming home to a message from this person. They do not leave any name or who they are or what the call is regarding. As for as I know I do not owe anyone or am I late on any payments. I find the caller tone to be threatening, demanding and rude. I was told to call back immediately, for what? Anyway, I called a few minutes ago and it is a company by the name of CSI asking that I leave my case or file number and phone number and they would get back to me as soon as possible. Well seeing that they did not leave any case or file number when they called I thingk it would be difficult for me to leave one.  I don't have a problem paying what I owe, that is if it is me they really want, but I do not like ot be threatened.

I got a call about 30 min ago. I did not answer.  He left a message, his voice was deep, demanding as if he were trying to threaten me! He left no name or what it was about, he just stated that he was from csi or csir and that it's urgent and that it would be best to call back!  I don't know him!!  I don't appreciate it at all!  If you see this #  don't answer!! Report it!!

888-314-7131 called...a James Thibideaux (spelling?) telling me on a recorded message he can't help me if I don't call him back immediately.  I was NOT addressed by name and have no clue who this jerk is or what he wants.  My guess is either some low-life attorney or a debt collector.  Neither of which I need.  Did I mention his threatening/rude demeanor?

Caller has called a number of times. Sometimes the message is really distorted. The caller is always rude sounding and does not even say the name of the person he is trying to reach. Now he is saying that there is a person of interest at my address? Really? If he doesn't say who he is trying to contact then how does he know that there is a person of interest at my address?

I called them back from my work phone, they answered and said CSR i kept asking what they were and the lady said CSR. I told her someone called me from this phone number and she repeated my work number back to me. I told her that isn't the number they called. She then kept asking for my number and said i needed to give it to her so they can remove it from their system. she also said it was a part of a civil law suit. I work for an attorney and have filed civil lawsuits mysef. We do not call client's family members unless they tell us to. I think this is a total fraud. I always give fake numbers whenever i go to a store and they ask for my #!
