I was a victim of this same scam... I was contacted by this company promising to give me an 8,000.00 loan if I sent them a payment of 987.00 they said it was due to my credit being less than perfect and that the payment was to secure my loan. And that as long as I made my payments on time that in six months I would receive it back in full. They did fax me Loan documents and everything ... I never got the loan and I never got back my 987.00 either. This has put me a single mother of three chikdren in a terrible situation. The "Loan officer" said his name was Troy Armstrong and the number i called him on several times is the same 1-888-329-1492 ext 175 **** DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY***** THEY ARE LIARS AND THIEVESthe phone number has been going to a fast busy when i call it since this happened to me... in August of this year. Please let me kniw if anyone knows anything I can do to get my money back or how to reach these terrible people. Thank you.

Your a scam I am still tracing you you scamed me out  of 500 .00 you are going to be caught eventually I am not giving up.

Just checked the website; www.dunstonreferralgroup.com. The site is still active. It looks real, but it is not. They are a complete scam!!

1-888-329-1492 number is not working anymore, I guess they changed it because they realized too many people are realizing their scam. I guess they will change their website now soon too.

There is no refund from this company, it is a complete scam, beware, I learned my lesson, please don't be the next victim. Just google loan scams and you will see the fake application, just like the one they ask you to fill out. And the people who are posting on this that are saying they get their loans is them. This dunston referral group are posting fake messages trying to make you believe the company is real.

It's funny that this site is reviewing the so called loan company like this because there was nothing out there with complaints and now I feel stupid for not going with my gut  and skipping this scam...apparently my refund will be here next week apparently...

I will try and email you today.  I haven't gone to my local police, but that sounds like a good idea.  So far I reported to the Better Business Bureau, they put that company's name on a list as an alert and I put messages on my accounts because I also had provided some bank info.  Like this is terrible.  Can I ask you if the police said that anyting could be done ? And how did you put an alert on your credit files.  I would like to do that also.  If you can message me that would be great.  Or I will try and email.  Thanks again.  Talk soon

Hey Helena. I went to my local police department today and filed a report. Contact me via email so we can chat about it. I have been sick to my stomach as well, it actually hurts. I also put an alert on my credit files, called my banks, just incase they try to steal my identity, seeing that they have some of my personal information. Not that stealing my identity is going to do them any good with my bad credit.

Sorry to hear that.  I am in the same boat as you.  These people steal from people like us who need some help.  If we had the extra money lying around to send them, we wouldn't need a loan then right ?

I realized just about an hour ago, that it is a scam.  Nobody will get their loan, and you will never see your collateral payment again.  I was supposed to receive my loan yesterday.  Nothing.  Called them today and they transfer me to supposedly 'management' who told me that after reviewing my credit again, they have decided that it is a higher risk loan than they first thought. So if I still needed the loan I would have to send them some more collateral security deposit.  I feel so angry right now, and so stupid for falling for this.   I consider myself a pretty smart person but it can happen to anyone.  So I am out the money I sent, they said they would refund me (yeah right) but it could take 30 days.  Never again, I guess I learned the hard way. I will report them for sure, but that doesn't bring back my money.  :(

Well, I posted earlier about this. It is a scam for sure. Do not fall for this like I did, I feel so stupid now. Can't even by groceries or pay my rent. I should of went with my gut feeling in the first place. My so called reps name was Troy also. Lesson learned, now to explain it to my family. I even tried to reason with the person, never worked. All they wanted was more money to release the loan.

People - it is ILLEGAL to have to pay money - whether it's "insurance, processing fees, installment, collateral" to receive a loan in the US.  IT'S A SCAM!

Didn't have to - any upfront fee or money required to get a loan is a scam.  And also ILLEGAL in the US!

We will find out what's going on Troy, and get to the bottom of this.  We have people in places that can help us out in these cases.  So I hope for you and your fake company's case, you guys come through on your contracts and promises.  There are things called Fraud departments and investigations.  Even if we don't get our loans, we will bring this operation down.  Someone will pay the consequences for scamming on innocent people.

My reps name was Troy also.  I honestly think we fell for a scam.  I even googled them and searched around and they do have a website, and their name is nto on any of the business scam websites.  I don't know, I hope for my sake its not scam, because I had to borrow the collateral from my sister.  Now I have to pay her back even if there is no loan.  Great

Same here, I was told I would have my loan yesterday before their offices close at 9pm.  I think i fell for a scam also, I feel so stupid.  I still have not received any loan.  Please let me know if you get your money today.  May I ask who you're customer service rep was ?

I'm wondering if I fell for a scam. I paid what they call a collateral payment. They said I'd receive my loan in four hours. Never got it yet, it's been over 12 hours now. They told me they had to get someone to sign off on it. I never fell for a scam before, I pray I never fell for one this time. Keep you posted.

Its a scam..  anytime they ask for money up front, its a scam. Legit company's giving you a loan do not ask for money up front!

Dunston Referral Group is not like the other companies that you hear about honestly they stand by what they say when it comes to there loans i made my payment yesterday and got my loan within 4 hours im glad they where able to help someone like me out my credit is horrible they really did come through

I got a call from them as well today they wanted a collateral payment before giving a loan.They send me the loan agreement and read it but I am not sure if they are real or not cause I see different feedback on here are they real  or a scam?  Need honest feedback from someone that has or deal with them.

This is a great company to get involved with there customer services is amazing. And you do get your loan once you make your payment
