First of all this company went to my employer and told me they tried to serve me a summons, he indicated he was from the court system and needed my address. He asked me to make sure I give the company my address so I won't miss my court date.   If he was from the court system trying to serve me papers to me he would know my address, also when I inquired about the name of their website or internet information I was told they did not have one. I continued to ask them questions about their company and they could not accomodate me.  At that point, I hung up and I will allow them to pursue their quest for information this person was Paul Martin

I got a call from this number. No VM.

Would you believe these people came to my prior employment( I am no longer there) harrassing my ex co-workers stating they had a summons for me and that I needed to be in court tomorrow morning. They even told my co-workers they came to my home to serve me but I wasn't home. I haven't left my home in days...imagine these people...I called and left them a msg. Be Very Aware of these people...I am reporting them tomorrow at the Attorney Generals Office

The BAR group keeps calling my work and harrassing me stating that I have been writing fraudulent checks and that I am being served a summons if I do not pay them. The number they are calling is 1(360)-289-9466. I have asked them several times to not contact me at work. I do not even know what this is about.

I received a call this morning and a guy said I would be served papers for writing a bad check. I thought what???? I know who I wrote checks to. I went to a pay phone called back a 877 number. The lady could not disclose where the Bar Group was from THEY ARE AFRAUD SCAM SCAM SCAM company REPORT THEM TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE.

They called me on both my work and cell # saying I would be served a summons at home or work.  When I tried to get further information, the man got rude and told me to stop being argumentative and hung up.  I would like to know where to send a letter that they were harrassing me.

Called both my brother and my father leaving messages stating they were "State Process Servers and I was wanted for writing bad checks."  Impossible considering I only write one check a month to the landlord.  I am calling my attorney first thing in the morning to file the case against them for violating the FCDPA.  So glad I found this site.

fraud, fruad, fruad!!!! they called me on account of my mother and left a threatening message about a loan taken out, and that they would seize my assets(now they thought i was my mother). so i called them back and told them that i wasn't the person and to take me off their list, then i looked up the number and found this site.. wow..!!!

Another sleazy debt collection firm called "The Bar Group", collecting for alledged defaulted payday loans. This is all the information I could find on them from Bud Hibbs:

The Bar Group  I was contact by someone named Julie Waters on both my work phone and cell phone stating they have been trying to summons me. I called the number and the first lady told me I was being charged with check fraud I explained to her I was going to have to call her back because I needed to record the phone conversation. She hung up on me. I called again and spoke with a Zachary Hacklett and I asked him for the companies license number in the state of California and that I was not going to settle anything for a payday loan from a company called payday loan yes. He told me I could find the information on-line which was not there. I called again and asked for him and they continued to hang up on me. So I called a final time and they stated that management said that if I called them again they would file harassment charges against me. How ironic are they. It goes to show if you treat them the way they treat you THEY feel threatened.

Just got a call from them some guy named MR. Frane. Said I defaulted on a payday loan, they are calling to tell me I am going to be served and they are taking me to court. I have never taken a loan out. These people are scam artist.

Called said was calling for bad check..Orderding -- SCAM --- Trying to get your account number. DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM.  Reported to FCC
