The debt you owe has been done. They purchased old records and are charging double. You can't be arrested for debt. It's not a criminal case. It's civil and no jail time. I learned the hard way. It's a scam. I filed with BBB and FTC. It's illegal to use the threats they are using and real debt collectors will settle at 30-50% of the debt.

They are operating out of New York with Affinity Processing Solutions. I filed with the BBB in New York. I filed against Affinity because they took my money. They actually responded to BBB and returned my $1400. The BBB suggested I file with the New York attorney's office which I did. Apparently, they obtained info from purchasing old records from some company. Scam. I was told this this scam is old and the company uses several alias names.

Hi,

Has anyone gotten anywhere with these people and their calls, yesterday they called me 5 times and also called my parents.  I've tried to speak to them and have been told they don't want my money they just are going to come arrest me.  I have called my Attorney General in Massachusetts and they asked me to file a complaint and we also checked this company is not allowed to practice in my state of Massachusetts.  They also requested I file a complaint with the ftc.  I also had my attorney call them and they will not give an address so we can send a letter to stop contacting me.

Anyone come up with an address for them?

Thanks!

they have been calling me for three weeks.  i finally called them back today and they said i owe on a payday loan from 2007, which i did default on, which scares me.  i offered to make payments, but they said they could not do that.  that i need to pay 1800 even though the loan was only 900.  i said i don't have 1800.  i could pay 100 a month.  they said no.  they will be meeting with the DA of my county this afternoon by end of day and i wll be arrested for check fraud.  they said they could not send me any documentation.  what is with this.  they are breaking so many FDCPA rlaws.

This is a complete scam. They don't work for anyone. Everyone reading this should to to the FTC (FEderal Trade Commision) website and file an online complaint. It takes a few minutes. I was scammed by them. I gave them money and when I called local law enforcement, they told me I was scammed. Also, when they sent me "paid" letter, it said, thank you for agreeing to settle your debt with our debt collector. They man calling is not even an attorney. I filed a police report; a report with the District Attorney's investigative unit and the FTC. I advise you ignore them; and file a complaint. THey called me from 888-668-5649.

This guy Gaines left me a message that he was an attorney working on behalf of the DA and that there is a warrant for felony check fraud for an old payday loan. He said a sherrif was on his way to my house. Fearing I'd be arrested in front of my 4 year old and hauled off, I gave him $1400. Then I called the DA (District Attorney) and they said its a scam and encouraged me to file a police report so I did. THe bank is trying to get my money back but that's $1400 gone. That was my house payment money too. He scared me to death and all over a scam. I got my free credit report online and i don't even owe this. SUCKS! Someone got info from Payday Loans and is scamming us. He is also located in NY. BE WARE!!!!

I received a call from an "attorney" at F.D. Malone stating they had paperwork to serve me with. I called and he siad the DA had issued a warrant for my arrest and that an officer was waiting to serve me unless I cleared up the debt immediately of $1400. I actually gave them my credit card information and then called the DAs office in which I was told it was a scam; there was no warrant for my arrest and to contact my bank. We are in the process of filing a fraud claim to get my money back. I filed an online police report. If you are harrassed by them, file a police on line of the harrassment and please don't be an idiot like me and give them your information. I was scared to death that someone would arrest me in front of my 4 year old son. I did have an old outdated payday but my ex husband said it was handled like 7 years ago. They said the charges were felony bank fraud. I didn't know, I was just scared. Be careful!!! This is a scammer!

I posted a while back and wanted to give all you what I have learned.  The main company name is Diversified Processing Solutions. They are a scammer company listed as being owned by Vincent Bianio/Anthony Laganbina. They report their address is 3380 Sheridan Dr Suite 131 in Buffalo NY but when you look it up it is a Dr. Office. The main number listed for this company is 888 711-1339. Checked the BBB and they have numerous complaints files (including mine) but never respond. They are not legit and the Anthony guy is WAY googleable so I say have at!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

I received the same calls.  I have never had a payday loan and i explained that to them.  I am a paralegal at a legitimate debt collection law firm... So I deal with this daily.  They got mad when I started explaining to them how many FDCPA violations they just made, and the fact the I was absolutely positive they havent filed a suit against me.  He Cursed me out and called me a smart as* bit*h and then hung up on me.  I called back and politely asked for a mailing address and they refused... Cursed me out some more and I hung up.  Then they called ME back and left a threatening voice mail!!! Seriously, if I EVER find out who these people are and where they are located it is on like donkey kong.

Just answered a recorded message call (came up as "private" on my caller id) from "John or Jon Britt" regarding serving some legal court "paper work" to me at my residence or place of employment, and to contact 855-668-5649 if I had any questions.  I called the number, and offered to meet "Mr. Britt" at my local police department to receive this paper work (Hell will freeze over before I give ANYONE my home address to serve me court "paper work".  You show up at my house, you better have a police officer along!!).  I talked to four different representatives, and after I provided the address to my local police department, and informed the representative I would like to set up a time frame to meet "Mr. Britt" at the police station, the representative would hang the phone up on me!!  After calling back for the fifth and final time in attempt to set up a time to meet "Mr. Britt" at my local police department, the female representative told me to "shut up", and informed me "bi****s like you belong in prison" (I am not even a female!).  I guess "Mr. Britt" does not like the idea of meeting at a local police station to serve my "paper work" for some reason.... O Well... would be nice if someone knew the physical address of this "company", so I could file a complaint with my local police department.

Update. I called my local Sheriff's Dept and let them know what was going on. First off these people are data miners that have bought extracted data, in my case years and years old. There is no warrant, no charges. Even if someone did owe a debt it would be a civil matter NOT a criminal one. I called this company back several times to try to get an address from them but they just hung up on me. Keep any Voicemails they leave but don't answer the phone. Then go to your local law enforcement and let them know what is going on. I'm sure your county is like mine and there are kind investigators that would be more than happy to turn these into real charges against them. I then went to the FTC website and filed a complaint as well as the consumer financial agency. The 855 668-5649 number at this time shows to be a good number and I referenced that as their number so this company can find who that number is issued through (phone company) and find out who is the owner of that number. The investigator told me not to worry these people get your name from a sold or stolen database then look you up on the internet, like Facebook, to find up to date info on you like where you work, live, ect. He also stated there is no county or federal agency in existence that would file a warrant on a payday loan. At the very most if your debt was real, which it isn't, they would send you a notice not haul you away no questions asked. He was very clear that you should NEVER give these people any information about you and do not pay them anything! If you are scared call your local DA office and ask "hey do you have any court cases filed against me?" I'm sure the answer will be no and at that point you can make them aware of the situation. These scum prey on people that they think will be so scared they won't question, when you question them and start asking for who they are where they are located most likely they will go away. I found out the name of the lady who was calling me her name was Mrs. Gains. She seemed surprised at the end of the call I knew her name. These people are not listed anywhere so once again THEY ARE NOT LEGIT please do not fall for this! I will make it my life's mission to prosecute them if I have any further contact from them. Show them they picked on the wrong person and fight back if they call you!

I received a call at my mothers house from these jokers claiming I had committed wire fraud? I called and the lady who sounds like she smokes several packs a day told me there was a court filed by the DA on me. Funny that is my cousin and he has no knowledge of any cases. She called me a liar and hung up. So I called back. I got the same chain smoking Betty and asked her for my court case # she laughed and said "You're too funny to talk to " and hung up again. I figure I'll just have some fun with these low lifes for the next few days or until they decide to move on to another target!

These are illegal lowlife debt collectors who buy out of statue of limitations debt for pennies on the dollar.  They try to scare people with illegal tactics - Do not fall for this.  The FTC has closed down several of these same type of companies, arrested the owners and froze their assets.  Go to the FTC website online and file a complaint.  This lowlife company is FD Malone and Associates. Do not give out any information, you can record their calls and voice messages.  There are attorneys who will sue them for 1000 a phone call and work on commission only.  Do not be intimidated by these crooks.

The company is FD Malone.  It is illegal for them to say they are sending out an arrest warrant, to call your associates and tell them the same thing. They are not a legit company and several of the same type have been closed down in California arrested and have had their assets frozen.  Do not give any information to them, instead go on the FTC website and file a report. The FTC is the one who closed down and fined other low life collectors who buy debts for pennies on the dollar.  They are foul mouthed and low lifes.

I have been getting these calls for well over a year now.. It seems like I am getting them from several different companies, but my husband says they are all the same people. They are even coming to our house to "tape" hand written threatening notes to our front door when we are sleeping or not home. I am as pissed as I ever could be at this. It's disturbing knowing that they have been at my door and have zero right to be! I have no idea who to contact or what to do about it but I am getting several calls a day on my cell and our home phone. If we block one number they use another.. they go between the 000000 number, out of the area, and regular numbers. I'm sick over this and know it's a scam. I have a criminal Justice degree and know how the court system works. I know I have yet to be sent any documents or anything stating anything legitimate. I don't know what to do. I know our local police won't do a thing. MY husband said that the FBI can't seem to pin them down.. but something needs to be done. I am sick and tired of the threats! They better hope I never catch them at my door!

For me, this call is an absolute scam. Received same recorded message as all others have. I have never had an unpaid debt nor a Pay Day Loan. Seems to me, if the caller has a legitimate reason for calling, their phone caller  ID would show more than 000-000-0000 and Out of Area. If they have a legal debt to collect, then mail documentation to prove it. I believe this same organization tried a similar scam several months ago, when they used phone numbers from all over the U.S. with the same threatening action from serving papers to telling the callee that the police were on the way to pick them up. None of which was true. Surely, the FBI must be aware of these people?

I am getting a ton of calls from people like this. Just recently these calls started about wanting to serve me papers at home or place of employment. I am also getting rude notes posted on my door as well. My husband has checked our credit report and places where we have lived court records and there is nothing out there for something like check fraud or fraud in general. I am getting pissed.. beyond my own belief at these people!! and have no clue how to get them to stop. I have already spoken to one "paralegal" months ago about whatever they think they are charging me with. The dates they gave me were bogus because I wasn't living in the state they say this was done at during that time. I had been moved away for a couple years already. I can't even believe that this BS they are doing even works for them! Something needs to be done! and quick!!.
