They are a bottom feeder debt collector and really bad news. NCO FINANCIAL. Google it and write a cease and desist letter.

NCO Debt Collectors and the worst bottom feeders. They will comb your credit report until they find anything that they can use to say you owe. example - If they see you bought something from Zales, they call and say you owe for jewelry even if it is paid off, off the Statute of Limitation. Worse, if it is a real debt they collect it and put in their pocket and the creditor never gets paid a penny.

They get your credit reports and they search them for anything they can scam you with. They are junk debt buyers and bottom feeders. It is NCO so Google it and send a cease and desist letter.

It is NCO Financial Collection Agency. Google them  for an address and send a cease and desist letter. They have to stop calling or writing to you.

Just got the same message here.  I'm fed up as well.  Thinking of putting some money on my old TRAC PHONE and calling them just to SH#! In their wheaties as well.  Just for fun.  By the way, I'm 800+ credit score with a new refi in work so there are no credit debts and I pull three credit reports a year just to make sure.  If I could track them down I'd probably end up in jail.

Even the most obvious Phishing scams like this probably get enough suckers to pay so as to make it profitable. Some people probably pay just to get them to stop calling. The stupid messages don't bother me. Such an obvious scam. Pity the suckers. Just erase and ignore.

For the past two weeks, have received two or three calls a day from "Ed Blanchard" at NCO Financial.  Recording never indicates who he is calling to speak with, just that it's an "attempt to collect a debt".  I work for the Florida Department of Corrections.  (My own dealings with NCO Financial were resolved several years ago.  And back then, they even left messages on my answering machine at home!)  Not aware of anyone here dealing with NCO, but would like it if these phone calls would stop!  Recording can't be cut off once it starts, and by the time it's done I have two or three other phone lines ringing.

I just got my 2nd call from this number...some lady left VM in very "monotone" voice saying i have a debt that needs immediate attention. I was going to call cause i was curious...then i though i do have 2 debts....one CC that i pay each month...and one car loan i pay each month. So i googled the number and came to this site. Im glad i did...im not calling

I forgot to mention that the above messages were recordings.  Even the name that was inserted in the middle of the recording was another recording that sounded "spliced" into the message.

Debt Collector
I have been making a huge and successful effort at eliminating my own debt over the last several years.  I have printed out a credit report and called the companies on it directly.  I have made payment arrangements, and am almost out of debt.  There is no reason for any collectors to be calling me.

I have a "lifeline" service phone that I have intended only for outgoing calls, particularly for 911 calls.  I rarely give the number to anyone as I do not want incoming calls that phone.  (I couldn't afford to pay the extra $20/month to block incoming calls).

Because the phone was ringing so much, I hooked up a digital answering machine to pick up on the 1st ring.  I have recently gotten annoyed enough that I did a web search to find out who was calling me and I found this site (and am grateful).

Here are the 3 messages that I have saved at this time (there have been more):

1st message:
This is an important message from NCO financial systems incorporated.  The law requires that we notify you that this is a debt collection company.  This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  Please call ED BLANCHARD back today at toll-free 1-888-432-3516.  When calling us back the reference ID is . . . Thank you.  Goodbye.

2nd message:
This is an important message from NCO financial systems, a debt collection company.  This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  Please return the call to MR WOOD at 888-432-3516.  Again, that's MR WOOD at 888-432-3516.  Thank You.  NCO financial systems is a debt collection company.  This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

I forgot to state Ed Blanchard is the name being used in the recording. The recording is done everyday. If you hang up once it starts they call back again later on in the day.  If you let the recording play out completely, they won't call again until the next day.

This is totally annoying. The recording doesn't give any information. I have no idea who they want to talk to  or who is trying to collect a debt. If its Cross Country Bank that debt was in 1999. He should write it off because I did.

Sheesh -- I knew this number looked familiar when the recent round of calls began, but didn't realize until i came here to report them that they had kept my cell # on their list for OVER 2 YEARS!!  I didn't and don't have any debt, so the calls are just even more ridiculous than ever.

The automated calls now give more specific info than they did in the past.  They ID the company -- NCO Financial Systems, the agent -- Ed Blanchard, and give a reference # to use.  I have received three calls from this # with the exact same recorded info left on voicemail (because I have not answered).  These calls were on:

4/15/10 - 12:15  PM
4/19/10 -   1:12  PM
4/20/10 -  11:47 AM

I've now begun saving the VM msgs they leave.  If only there were a way to take legal steps against them...

I get endless calls from this number & voicemails similar to others listed here. I do not know why I get these calls b/c I pay my bills.  I've even registered on the "No Call List" for cell phones, but somehow these people got my number & annoy me constantly!

A "Mrs. McKinney" called from MCL Financial to say she was trying to collect an unpaid debt (which we don't have).  Again, they wanted us to use a call-back ID.  This same thing happened to me about one year ago.  I reported to the BBB and, of course, it is a fraud!

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience. I have been getting the calls on my cell phone. The message is a woman speaking in a British accent saying I need to call them about an outstanding debt. I do not have any debts. They called often and one time I picked up and I did not hear a live voice; it was the same recorded message.

It is definitely a scam.

I get calls from the 888-432-3516 number all week long. I have for months. One time I called back to be told the call was concerning a $59.00 debt to an insurance company that I had never heard of nor dealt with. I refused to give the caller any financial or personal info. I told them to stop calling my cell phone. The rep told me that they had got my number etc. from my insurance agent...... I have recieved 4 calls on my cell from them in the past 2 days. Even after I spoke with them.

7:30 PM Didn't answer this call on my cell, because the # seemed vaguely familiar.  (Without remembering the specific #, my hint was the 888 prefix, since I don't know anybody who has a toll-free number).  To my surprise when I came here to check it out, I found the last entry to be MINE (see entry below).  They called me on Valentine's Day and Black Friday -- something amusing about that.  Anyway, I'm glad I didn't answer this time, and just wanted to report that the folks at that number are still up to their old (and tiresome) tricks.

A woman called only identifying herself as a Ms. Smith asking for a "Mr. Cooper."  There is no Mr. Cooper at this number.  No Name came up on the caller ID.  I took the message for him to call her back at this 888 number and she said the call may be recorded for quality assurance!  Sounds fishy so will not return the call, but would like to know who and why they are harassing via cell phone.

I got a voicemail on my cell phone from this number stating that they were NCO financial systems incorp. and that by law they are required to identify themselves as a debt collection agency. They left a reference number and asked me to call back. Sounded a little fishy. I'm weary of calling back because I have no outstanding debts. I figure if it's real I'll get more calls or a notice in the mail of some kind. Weird that they would call my cell phone...

Recording stated, "This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information gathered will be used for that purpose.  Please call me today at 888-432-3516..." and provided a reference number.  No info provided as to who was making the call.

I don't have any debts, so this call doesn't have anything to do with me -- except as it costs me money to receive the call and/or listen to the message.
