got a call yesterday and today from 888-453-1960. didn't answer and no message was left.

Got a call from 888-453-1960 twice in the last few days but nobody is on the phone when I answer.

Received numerous calls w/o voicemail.  I called back from a secured land line and discovered it was Verizon Wiress informing me I went over my minutes.  I told them I had not.  Turns out I went over my broadband (mobile internet) usage.  Totally legit.  At least my call was.  And I appreciate the call.  No more YouTube downloads for me.

BTW, the reason I didn't know I was close to going over my limit was their unit of measure.  My plan is GB, they show usage in MB.  That is kinda sneaky on their part.  I'm not good at converting the figures.

This number called my cell, went to VM and left no message.  This was only moments after my home phone rang and indicated the call was from 888-SERVICE.

I receive calls from this number in succession with number 612-307-8004, which is from Target.

I just called back 888-453-1960 and got this recording: "The number you have reached is not in service at this time.  No further information is available."

The Caller ID was "800 Service."

I was called yesterday just after activating a phone. I left it to voice mail. They knew my name and saaaaaid they were representing Verizon. I called Verizon about the message I received on my voice mail. I was told it was not their number and to ignore any phone calls such as this. He also said that Verizon has other ways of contacting you,ie., letter, text, your acct, and would not ask for personal information in this way (he said they already have your info in front of them). He also said to never give out personal info via a call you did not initiate.

I answered and no one was there--so I hung up---

Just got a call and they left a voicemail.  It was Verizon calling to welcome me to their network.  They must have misdialed bc I don't have Verizon.

Multiple calls - no one there when answered and no messages left.  Very handy.

Everytime I answer this, they tell me that I'm near or over one of my plan limits and then they try to sell me a plan upgrade. What makes me really irate is that I say I'm not interested in a sales call on my cell phone and their stock answer is that it is not a sales call which IMHO is absurd--of course its a sales call.

Fake. Some poser trying to say they were from Verizon Wireless and over minutes. I told them they were fake and hung up.

Do NOT believe this is Verizon.  This is a scam.  Do not provide them with information.  Simply hang up.

It was Verizon telling me I was close to going over my limits, which I was already fully aware of. I think they were looking to upgrade my plan (i.e. telemarketing to get more money) but I told them no thanks.

Got a call from this number. Woman said she was calling from Verizon. We should call star 228 and send, otherwise our service would be disconnected.

I called the number and it was Verizon Wireless wanting to talk to me about some "exciting new handsfree specials and review of my account".

These people better stop calling if they know what's good for them.

Called just now and didn't leave message when I let it ring through to voicemail.  They're picking the wrong person to bother with their scam.  Don't piss me off.

I just got a call from 888-453-1960 no one was there so I called the number back and they said they were answerig for Verizon and wanted my full name and last 4 of my SS#, I did not give it to them and hung up.  I then called Verizon and they put the number into there system and nothing came up, so it must be a SCAM!!!

Called back... It was Verizon

Heard a bunch of people laughing in the background then I girl came on & asked for my husband, hung up on her.

I called Verizon directly and asked them about this number 888-453-1960 and it is a legit number from Verizon. So not a scam or anything like that.

got a call and ask if they caught me at a bad time, I said yes and they hung up. I'm calling verizon wireless now.

got same call- unlimited messages so can't be over the limit..must be scam once again

I got a call from this number too, no message left and I don't even use Verizon.

I keep getting calls from Alliance and have asked them to stop calling.
