I just filed a BBB online complaint against Verizon for allowing this phone number to dial my cell phone.
Please, everyone enter the BBB website and complain about your cell phone provider allowing fraudulent calling to your cell phone from these a***oles. It makes the cell carriers money and steals from you.

Just got a call from this number too, called back the computerized guy said "Thanks for calling back and congratulations on your prize! Press 1 to connect to an agent to receive your prize. Once again press one to receive your prize. Or press 3 to be removed." I pressed 3, had to put my number in and it said I was removed from the call list. Hopefully it did remove me!

this is connected to a web scam where you fill out a short survey designed to put you in a category depending on how you answered survey. bottom line is if you don't purchase anything or answer questions so there is no need for them to contact you then your led to a dead end with no way to claim prize. This scam is as old as computers themselves, Ignore and it will go away for awhile then you might get hit again. Usually starts out with same format so you can recognize and stop asap  do not give out personal info out of curiosity as the saying goes "curiosity kills the cat"

They left saying to claim my prize call 888-454-0168.  The number on my caller i.d. said 404-592-1263.

Computerized message saying "Congratulations! To claim your prize call 1-888--454-0168.  Again, to claim your prize call 1-888-454-0168"  Wasn't sure what to think, went on this website and decided it would be harmless enough to call back.  When I called back, there was a computerized message that said it didn't recognize my number, that I should either enter the phone number I originally used (though I had taken no survey or anything) or hang up and try calling from the number.  Nothing worked.  Stupid scam.

They called first on a number in Henderson, NV 702-291-9627.   Left a phone number to call, American something and said I could be entered into a lottery (?) to win something.  the number they left was 888-454-0168 .   When asked my name I said that he was a big jerk.

they leave strange messages and I have never contacted them.

This number called me and told me that I won $100.00 in gas when I tried to call they just kept hanging up. saying good bye.

Thanks for the info, I just received that call this morning but didn't recognize the number. They left some message that call 888 454-0168 to receive your prize.  I'll delete the message....

Call to cell-phone: 02/03/2012 from Caller ID# 3133460197.  "Canned" message left: "To claim your prize call 8884540168"  Caller Location: Detroit, Mi.  Call Type: TeleMarketer (?)

They called me with the same claim of 40$ visa gift card. After reading your comments I didn't bother calling them.

People like these should be eliminated from society.

In a momentary lapse of intelligence, I click on a "free victoria's secret gift card" link on facebook....I entered my cell # and filled out a survey, when it took me to a different site, I closed the browser, but alas, not 5 hours later I am getting a call from this #....

The phone call came from a local extention but I don't answer any calls from #'s I don't recognize.

Message said same thing everyone previously said, I did not & will not be calling back.

Same; got a call from a Maryland Cell Number, let it go to voice mail. Then I got the same $40 gift card message and to call 888-454-0168.

Got a phone call to call the 888 number back but caller Id showed a Milan Michigan number

I also just got a call from a local number telling me I won a $40 gift card and to call this number back. It told me to press 1 to redeem then hung up on me. Tried calling back twice, both times it just said goodbye and hung up. Definitely going to block this number.

Just got a call from this number as well... well it came in as 402-527-8136 on my cell!  I just added to my phone book as DO NOT ANSWER and set the setting to not ring and send straight to voicemail.  They never leave a message and this way your cell doesn't get annoying calls anymore.  Pretty sure it has something to do with the FB changes and security features... I will be removing FB mobile from my phone.

I got a call , same about visa $40 even if my phone is registered with https://donotcall.gov/. Any cue whats going on ?

The call came from 541-236-0939, but they left 888-454-0168 to call back for my free $40 visa gift card.  I live in the 541 area code.  Looks like they are starting to 'personalize' the calls by making it look like it is a local number calling.

Got a call saying I won a $40 gift card and when I called it hung up. The number that cae through was 402-527-8136.

Received unsolicited telephone call from 888-454-0168.  After researching, believe it to be a scam number and just ignored the message.  Got suckered in by offer of 4 free airline tickets to Southwest Air.  May want to boycott Southwest Air now!!!!

Just received a call saying to call this number to claim my $50.00 Visa card.  Called and number disconnected, called again and said call from the number I registered at.  I did not and register as far as I know.  What is up with this?

Got a call about a $40.00 gift card as a thank you for participating in an online survey, said to call them at 888-454-0168. The call came from a Jonesboro LA phone number 318-480-0223.

Received a call from this number.  They told me to call back to claim my $40.00 Visa card

How do you cancel, the number they provided doesn't give you the opportunity to speak to someone to cancel the service.

They use the carrot of a $40 Visa gift card to try to get you to sign up for a program called Great Fun, which is about $20/month. The first month is $1, but you have to call a number to cancel. If you accept the Great Fun trial, they'll offer another program called Shopper's Advantage for another $20/month and one for Jewelry. These are basically buying services, where you get discounts on products, restaurants, etc.

They called to tell me I won $40.00, I found this out after I called back.   Never reached a person, simply said good bye on the phone.
