1-888-458-4073 shows up on my cell phone ID as "United States" and the Male who is speaking to me claims he is calling from BOM - I called BMO & they told me "NO" it's not them - don't give out any info they told me.

I called BMO as well and they told me the same story....it is not them and under no circumstances provide them with any information.

Would you have paid more than the standard incoming call rates for a per-minute DID line as you would for any incoming call, plus the CNAM lookup fee for the call, if you have that option set? I would have thought that voip.ms treated all incoming calls to their subscribers from telephone callers outside their network the same way regardless of the caller ID number that was received, except perhaps for calls through Sip Broker and inum international calls, which ought to be free.
Also, although I am not trying to defend the caller at all, the entry "TOLL FREE CALL" probably is a generic entry that exists in whatever database voip.ms uses to find names associated with caller ID numbers. This is the CNAM lookup for which you are billed on a per-call basis, if you choose to turn it on for your DID number. If the caller ID number is spoofed, you won't get the right CNAM. If the company assigning an (unspoofed) number doesn't enter a name in their database and/or doesn't share their database entries with other database companies that provide CNAM services, you won't get a meaningful caller ID name showing up on your phone. (Note that voip.ms does not, by default, seem to put a caller ID name in any database. You have to file a trouble ticket and pay an extra fee for that, and even then, they won't guarantee that your own outgoing calls will show the correct CNAM everywhere you might call.)
I'm not defending the caller. But I think the blame, if any, for parts of your specific complaint might be due to a misunderstanding of how calls get billed, and how caller ID numbers and names are matched up and sent to your phone.
The underlying cause of your problem, though, is still the nuisance caller. If you actually have voip.ms service, and you actually see their number come up all the time, you can use their selective call blocking service to send their calls directly to system-hangup and never be bothered by them again. I don't believe there is any charge at all for disposing of their calls this way, but I think that you have to be sure that you select system-hangup and not any of the other alternatives to avoid being charged.

I see them calling me when I'm at work all the time. 'Rather dishonest them calling themselves "TOLL FREE CALL", since according to call logs, I'd have paid for the call if I answered it (voip.ms customer here).

this number has been calling my homes over and over again in the past few weeks - I never pick up, but it is still annoying that they continue to call.

The same company (Teleperformance) called me with an offer to upgrade my BMO Mastercard. Not very professional, and very pushy.

Called back and it was Teleperformance working on behalf of BMO. After listening to a very long message in English and French, they said to leave my name and number if I didn't want further calls and they would remove my number within 30 days. Nice of them to consume some of my mobile airtime with such a long message.

Seventh call in 2 days from this company on my cell. I never answered however I called them back. I got an answering machine with a Jamaican lady saying that it is BMO information line and that the office is closed and to call back between 10am-10pm. Weird cus I called on Monday at 2pm. So now I got worried called BMO and they told me that this number is not one of theirs nor did they hire this company to sell anything for them. The agent also told me to block the number if pissible and to never give out personal information to them if they do call back. She also asked to try to get info out of them if i do get a call then to email to the BMO fraud dept!

I also get this call as reported above by bn. (Fake BMO person with all types of "loyalty rewards").
I reported it to BMO's fraud dept, but there seems to be no effect - the number still calls once or twice a day. (Not that I really expected anything to come out of it)
When I called the number back from a different phone, I got to a voicemail from the same fake BMO "rep" saying I'd reached BMO's loyalty dept and to please leave a msg.(The msg also played in French)
Just to check the difference, I called BMO's number from their website and make no mistake - the BMO answering system is definitely more sophisticated.
This appears to be someone who is trying to obtain information for unlawful purposes. I would suggest steering clear of this call.

report it! lots of these 'fake' calls going around.

They are calling my phone even though I am on the DNC list. I picked up yesterday before I checked my call display to get dead air.
Got another call today but didn't answer - hoping they stop soon as I am not a BMO customer

It was "Vanessa" from the upgrading deparment of Teleperfomance calling on belhaf of BMO with regards to upgrading my credit card to receive more airmiles rewards and lot of benefits. When I reclined saying I will think about it, she insisted which made me even more suspicious. I called BMO and as mentioned in previous messages: they don't have anyone working for them so I replaced my credit card. Not sure if I report this to the fraud department in RCMP...

Some Jamaican chick calling from Teleperformance (I think that's what she said - strong accent) representing BMO asking me if I wanted to upgrade my mastercard. After I politely declined, she asked why, I said it was too much, yada yada yada. After declining for the nth time, she just hung up! No goodbye or thank you or anything.

I have no time and no duty to get off my phone number from his list!
If I've paid for the no-publish service, and he / she use mon number for the telemarketing, that should be a criminal act! beacuase: first, he/she stole my number from some one, second, he/she disturb me without my agree

I got a call on my cell from this number, so I called it back and it said teleperformance for BMO... I have NO accounts with Bank of Montreal. I had a number calling me last week, that was alos teleperformance representing Rogers. But it was a completely different number.
So much for the DO NOT CALL LIST... Better start working soon!
