I don't usually answer calls from numbers I don't know but did accidentally on this one.  No answer - hope it doesn't put me on some list!

I have no idea why they are calling. We haven't had any problems lately, and they left a message that they were sending us something. We'll see what happens

I work Phone Tech Support for a company that manufactures and supports routers deployed to customers homes and happened to find this whocallsme listing and needed to reply.  Have you ever thought of this concept? - Maybe if you weren't a do***ebag when we answered your call, you wouldn't find yourself being placed on hold afterward for so long.  It's typical self entitled people like you that think you have the upper hand when you call us, when actually you don't.  That's how dumb you are.  There's a reason (I know for a fact) the average US based tech support representative is paid over $30/hr.  It's not because we're dumb, inconsiderate, numb minded jerks that answer the phone for trailer trash...  it's because we know what we're doing, and we're very good at it.  Grow up, accept the fact that regardless of who you call for support (provider wise), you'll be treated exactly the same way you treat the person you are calling.  The days of calling India and knowing you can treat them like crap is over.  You'll soon find that alot more of your calls will be fielded here in the USA.  You don't like being treated like that, and neither does the person you are speaking with on the phone.

So, go ahead, switch providers.  With your mind set, you'll be back with whatever provider you're currently with soon enough because you'll find out quickly, we're all the same... we want respect, and we know how to piss you off if we don't get it.  It's no skin of our backs if you have to call back, we HAVE to be there for our shift, whereas you just wasted your time because you were a dick.

I called Frontier Communications (my FiOS TV/internet/telephone company) and the automated voice response system put me in a caller queue for a service rep, then reported I could leave my number and they would call me back in 15 minutes, so I did that. I got a call back from them fifteen minutes later, from this number, 888-553-1555, with a Caller ID of UNAVAILABLE. I was still put on hold for a minute when the call came in, but at least I didn't have to wait the full fifteen minutes on the phone.

although I am on a DNC list, I received a phone call from 888-553-1555 at a couple minutes to 9 last night.  As a very senior citizen I was already in bed and was frightened by so late a call. This MUST stop!

I just placed a call yesterday to get my Fios Router replace. It's probably them (automated)
following up on my replacement router.

It's legit. It was an automated system to notify you on replacement hardware. Verizon FiOS. Not spam.

Confirm it as Verizon FIOS Customer Support as well.  Just dealt with them on a router replacement and answered this call and it was them!

It is Fios -- Tech support. But it is neither technical (phone tree snafus several times) nor Supportive (frustrating hour of bad service, dropped transfers, infinite holds). I will be switching to another internet service very soon...

Answered this call - No one said anything - I called the number back and it is Verizon - However it was a recorded message asking me for my phone number so they could locate my account. I just wanted to know who the call was from so I didn't give any personal information I just hung up on the recording. However the recorded message They called me on my cell phone. I called back on my cell phone and the recording asked if if I was calling about (and it said my home number correctly even though I was calling back from my cell phone. Hmmmmm

My Guess is that it is a legitimate call from Verizon but who knows.

Called me on the weekend, no answer after picking up, just silence. Had ordered Verizon FIOS a few days earlier, might be connected to that. Had bad experiences with Verizon before, hope I will not regret doing business with them again, but the only other option is Comcast, pick your poison...
