Received a call on home phone.  They left no message.  Have also filed a complaint with www.donotcall.gov.  One should always do this for these types of calls.

I would never do business with a telemarketer.  The next time I will report them to BBB and sue them for harassment if I can determine they have any money!  Probably another of Obama's friends.

Please stop these calls...I a ill and do not want to get up to answer these telemarketers.

Telemarketing Sales Call for California Solar.  I am on the Do not call list so it is a simple and straight forward violation of those laws.

Same here.  California Solar and they say they will be "in my area" soon.  Direct violation of Do Not call laws as I am on the list and this is a direct marketing sales call.

When I told them they were violating the law he said he would "take my number off the list".  Filed a complaint with www.donotcall.gov anyway just to have a record of it.

Another number that  pops up regularly on my caller ID.  I don't answer them.  Glad to know I didn't let them waste my time.  Adding it to Comcast screening list.

This was a live person calling, said she was from Solar Electric Systems and that they would be in the area and that Google was funding some sort of Solar Energy Systems.  She asked what my electric bill was, and as soon as I said $30, she said "oh, it sounds like you are doing well...thank you for your time.".  I have found that with these Solar Panel Companies, as long as your energy consumption isn't in the top few tiers of the local utility, it is not cost effective to install Solar.  So the quickest way to get them off the phone is to tell them that your utility bill is $50-100 and they will practically hang-up on you.

Robo call.  Someone finally says Hello, then nothing

Actually, since I had a nice but short conversation with the sales person they now know that I will not buy their product, and the calls stopped.
Your solution sounds simple, but its not that simple.  In addition to this there are the hit&run guys.  They will only call with their scam once or twice, once they get a certain number of people caught up they simply go away.
And some callers call annon, others are forging calls, and will call from a number of different forged numbers.

Sorry, but no simple solution to the problem.

Also have received multiple calls generated from this #, but never get a "warm body" to speak with, nor any caller I.D., nor persons answering my return calls. Annoying as hell!

Why not make your lives easy folks?  Simply look at the display screen on your telephone and create your own "Do Not Answer" list ... if you do not recognize the telephone number on your display screen DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL ... works like a charm.

Same here.  They are not even trying to use or follow the National Do Not call list.  I actually answered the call, told them I was not interested and not to call again.  I filed a complaint at www.donotcall.gov.  Good idea to do this, but they are swamped with complaints and can't go after all violators.  Plus they get tons of nuisance complaints from people who don't understand the rules and just complain about everything.  In this case however, California Solar is trying to solicit direct sales and in violation.

they have called me a lot, but twice in the last week.  Once August 4 and again today August 9.  I picked up the phone and said "Don't call here again" and hung up, so I don't know who it was, but from reading these posts, I can def say that a solar company has called in the past.

Same here. Cold call. I didn't answer it. I have this number on Call Block on my Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phone. These are sleaze-bags who want you to empty your bank account into theirs. Don't fall for it. Run far away.

Well, they are at it again. They do not get the message and they ignore the DO NOT CALL list. They claim to be a Solar Energy company and when I tell them that I am not interested they keep pushing their product. They ask how much I pay for electricity and when I refuse to answer they try to sell their product. The last time I told them not to call verbally but it does no good. I can only question why the FTC does not do something to shut these companies down.

Received call from 888-600-8348.  The call originates from a company called California Solar Systems in Fullerton CA (www.californiasolarsystems.com).  Their actual phone number is 714-888-3150.  I've filed a complaint with the FTC.

I am on the do not call list.  But Scams don't care about violating the "Do Not Call" laws.  Whatever they are trying to do they pop up and try to mess with enough people to make some money then they go away.  They won't be around long enough to be sanctioned.  Their real worry is they will be prosecuted for the scam it's self.

I answered on the 3rd ring and got dead air in my ear.

Calls frequently. Caller ID says "800 Service". Never leaves a message; dead air when phone answered. Annoying.

I am also on the so called do not call list! Yeah right. But you know what: if you pick up the phone, no
call info on your phone, say, an unknown number etc. Just pick up say nothing and hit that pound button several times and they quit calling. At least it works for me until now I get this new number showing up. It looks like scams from everywhere so try it!!

Got a call from them, left no message, when  called to find out some info it rang about 7 times and a man answered and said Hello, no business name nothing. I said I have the wrong number.

Incessantly call my number, never leaving a message.

I got a call from this number and a voice mumbled something like "you're one of the people we're complaining about."   When I said, "I'm sorry??" she hung up.

I've received several automated calls on my business line from an outfit calling themselves CSS.  They will be in my area and want to talk about solar energy.  I've filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry.
