Noobird has no idea of what he is talking about. Unplugging the phone is the same as hanging up. It disconnects the DC pathway that you talk over. So you do not need to go around and unplug all of your other phones, just hang up. Having worked in the telecommunications field for over 40 years I do know what I am talking about.

I have had numerous call from this number. 3 times a day at least. I have requested each time they called for 3 weeks now to stop calling and take my number off of their list. I was promised yesterday afternoon that they would take my number of the list I received another call from them at 7:45 last night while I was trying to get my children ready for bed.

1) 3/8/2014 @ 2:11 pm / left no message
2) 4/4/2014 @ 1:39 pm / left no message
3) 4/9/2014 @ 3:59 pm / left no message
4) 4/10/2014 @ 1:57 pm / left no message
5) 4/11/2014 @ 11:39 am / message left in spanish, not my language
6) 4/16/2014 @ 4:06 pm / spoke to ispanic male, told him to remove my info. from their call list and stop calling me
Registered with gov. Do Not Call List, but calls continue to come! What a joke!

From what I understand is that when the phone ring an you hear silence .Never hang up if you do then good chances are your phone line just got tapped.!
to avoid this and to let the administrators on the other end know you know whats up-
1 disconnect the [hone line from the jack.I there is more than one phone in the house..leave the phone you picked up on off the hook
.2 go unplug the other lines from the wall jack
3 return to the initial phone line and unplug the line from the wall jack.For At least 3 minutes . They say seconds .But I go 3 minutes .
For ur cell .I would suggest removing the battery before hanging up. But chances are if you answered your screwed .It dont matter it`s all digital anyway, they have it already.
p.s. it might help if you disable your text messaging .most apps wont run if it` is disabled.

Phone rang 4 times, when I picked it up, there was dead silence. I asked if any one was there 3 - 4 times and had NO reply ... I HUNG UP !

These people keep calling for someone that doesn't exist. I've requested numerous times for them to remove my number from their database, but they still call. I'm on the no-call list and they still call. I'm seriously pissed!
