Got  a change on my credit card.

I was able to catch this charge and I've posted on here before. Just needed to add that a month ago a box arrived at my house from Cafe Saprito with one bag of Hawiian Hazelnut ground Coffee and a plain coffee cup, thats it, no explanation, nada. Well guess what happened when I googled this Cafe?? Yep. peel.com, publicationsmax.com and all the other aliases! From now on I check my balances daily and as a good friend reminded me to read the fine print on everything I buy online. Oh and if you open the box (like I did) you can't refuse it and send it back without paying the postage now.

I too received this bogus charge on my account and around the holidays is not a time i wanted to cx my card. charge was on my account on 11/16 i called them on 11/17 spoke with a man who said the charges would be removed. of course they never were removed. have been calling and leaving messages... finally thought to google the number to see if i can secure an alternate number and found this site!!  i have sent this guy briandale@peel.com an email and hopefully he can help get me a refund!!

If you lookup Peel, Inc. - Brian Dale is the President of the company.  Also listed is another "customer contact" number which is 847-424-0954.  Also listed is a fax# 847-424-0986

Report them to the BBB in the state of Illinois.

I too found a charge on my credit card for $79.00 as it was considered "Pending." I called the bank and they gave the name Publicationsmax.com and a phone number. When I called the number all I got each time was "All circuits are busy, please try again later." Alarms went off so I googled the phone number and found all these complaints about this company. I have never dealt with them, never gave them permission to charge this amount, never bought magazines from them, nada nothing. Thankfully my bank closed my account and I hoep we caught it in time since it was only pending. I also put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This company is based in Illinois and is also known as Peel, Inc. Beware. watch your charges.

I noticed a charge for $79 on the 27th from same company.  Same thing never authorized a charge never had any business with this company.  They will keep trying to take money out of your account because last night there was a memo posting to account for another $79.  Stopped payment from bank for memo posting, disputing charge, canceled the card that this came out on would suggest everyone do the same thing or they will continue to do the same to others.  A quick search on the internet shows sister websites

I got the same charge, $79, and initially was able to speak to someone at publicationsmax.com.  They said it was for "coffee," which of course I never ordered.  They said they'd cancel the order and give me a refund including a confirmation e-mail.  Five days later nothing and can't get a hold of a person again.  I'm going to e-mail that Brian guy I've seen people post about here.

these people have been busy i have also been hit with a $79 charge and have never heard of this commpany. 27 nov was a bad day for a lot of people. if any one knows these people or how to shut them down PLEASE post how

Well these people certainly have been busy on the 27th Nove 09, they two hit my card up for 89.00, had to cancel my card and am disputing it with the bank as well.  I think that I will do without cards and just purchase with cash.

How do they get away with it? They got into my account and appropriated 79.00, no authorization, no permission, no nothing, I've never even heard of them. All we have to fall back on is a forum to write a complaint? I don't get it!!!!

briandale@peel.com-  Try emailing this guy, when it happened to me last time I got a refund within a couple of days of emailing this guy, he forwarded my email to the correct person and they called me and I got my refund, this happened to me again the other day same company and so I am emailing this guy again to see if he can help.

This has happened to me before which this same company and last time I did get a refund, I emailed a complaint to briandale@peel.com, and I did receive a refund shortly thereafter after receiving a call back only after this email.  Well they've charged my account again so I have complained to my bank, called them and sent this guy another email, hope it works for you this time too!

On Friday November 27th, I have also found an 89.00 charge from Publicationsmax.com, I called them this morning but no call back yet, I would not order 89 dollars worth of magazines!!  I have also called my bank and have to cancel my debit card, and fill out all this stuff to dispute this charge, This is ridiculous!

Well it's is Friday November 27, 2009 and I have just found a charge for $79 from Publicatiosnmax.com. I have called this company like 5 times this morning, but no answer. I don't order magazines online and the only magazines I get are industry specific. Where do these people get off. So I called the Evanston, Ill. Police department, THEY can't  do anything about it, so I was referred to the Attorney General and I left my name and number with them, have called my bank and am trying to stop the charges.

I am so sick of these people that think it is ok to take from others. My husband and I got ripped off for $2,000 over the summer just the same way. Do you think we will ever see any of our money? NOT!!!

I don't know if they've ever called me or not but all of a sudden my bank debit card was charged $79 by them.  I found the number on my bank statement and have tried to call them only to get a message saying no reps are available-please leave your name and number and they'll call you back.  Well, no return calls.  I am disputing the charge with my bank-also a hassle, considering they've got $79 of my money and I have never done business with them!
