I did not get a call from them.  I received a letter from them, and they call themselves "Consumer Debt Initiative".  They wrote the letter as if their company name was an actual Washington/policy-based initiative or law (and not a debt relief company name).  I think that they are a debt relief agency, but I can not find any information on this company online.

I'm glad to find this site..I have received several of these to good to be true "junk" flyers in the mail including the 1 mentioned  above..They all say I can get help thru the Government Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 or Hr5140 or Consumer debt Initiative or Form 008-S payment reduction notification..Beware..These groups are to numerous to mention..They are only out to scam someone while they are trying to work things out .

I didn't get a call, but also received a letter. I checked with the Better Business Bureau, and the company name is National Debt Relief Initiative....made to sound like it's connected with the government, but it is NOT. The BBB rating for them is an "F" !!!
Bad news...stay away!
