888-667-4911

I have received this call a total of five times on my cell phone. The identifying number of the caller was from the neighboring town. Two of the five calls came in today. They only left a voicemail after the last call just a few minutes ago. The automated message said the call was "very important" and from "Alert TC". A google search shows Alert TC to be a county notification system. It requested that I call this number (888-667-4911) and input a long code number. This is a private cell phone, this is not a business. I will not be calling that number, I don't care who they are.

Very suspicious since I don't have an employer, live somewhere with an established emergency procedure and have read nothing about this in the local news and have not received an email. If something smells funny, most likely it's rotten.

This is a valid number - it was a call from my workplace verifying their 'BRM' (business resiliency management) emergency contact information.

Got a vmail on my work phone last night telling me to call this number (call came from a cell in san diego) and enter in a code. Said it was testing the emergency systems for Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. I don't work for SBTPG and while my company does do business with them, it's not at all related to my department.

This is a scam of some type. The guy called from an "unknown" number. Wanted to "talk to owner". Naturally, I asked regarding what. He said an appointment. I asked if we missed an appointment, knowing full well it was not a legitimate call. He said no. I then asked for his name and phone number which was 888-667-6722. I then asked what work he was trying to schedule. He then said "I'm not trying to get work done, I going to come to your house or business". NOT!! When he finally realized he was NOT going to be transferred to the "owner" he said that he would just call the owner on their cell phone! Any caller refusing to tell you what the call is regarding and trying to talk to an owner IS A SCAMMER! I generally do not answer "unknown" callers since most are a waste of time.

Got emergency phone call from 888-667-4911. Left code to enter when I call back. Might be true but seams fishy. Why wouldn't my job tell me they would call????????????

Company is everbridge, our company is one of many that uses these folks to distribute emergency notification messages. Company is legit, not a sales call.

I am receiving this call once again and have been doing research on this number but have not found any postings recently on this matter. After doing research initially I did see this as a legitimate number (at one time) and unfortunately responded but noticed afterwards the calls were from Aprill 2012, and 2011 not Nov 2012. It states it is an Emergency message and it asks to call the 888 number and enter in a series of numbers it gives you on the message.

The was an emergency notification system to inform me that my office was closed because of the hurricane.

Ditto that- got an email saying i would get the call. It is legit. The recorded message upon callback stated my company name.

It is legit. Our company which has over 50,000 employees is using this to test their ability to reach us in case of an emergency. The same voice that our company uses for all of our incoming calls is used to record the message letting us know what the purpose of the call is. We also got an email in advance warning us this would happen and what month.

Definitely NOT spam. I got several calls and it ended up being an emergency contact system my company had set up. Legit.

Yes, they do. You just don't work for the proper department that uses this. Check out GTI! They use the.
Jason 2012-03-13 15:27:09 Unknown
It is a legitimate message for GSA workers for emergency notifications.
michael 2012-02-01 00:51:53 Unknown
I work for Chase, so I can say this is definitely not legit since they say it has to do with Chase. Chase doesn't outsource this stuff.

This is a legit call and is initiated by Alarmpoint (at least for my company). The system is used to ensure that the emergency contacts that have been set up in the system are reachable. It would be better if incoming call would indicate this additional info so people knew it was legitimate.

I just recieved a 2 calls from 212-552-5744 leaving a message for me to call 888-667-4911 and put in a long number for a code to retrieve the message. My company has a hotline that I already have access to, therefore will not be calling me this way. I will not be calling the number back. I do believe it is a scam.
Debby 2011-10-26 16:16:20 Unknown
No, this IS legit. It is from our company. They sent an email out about it. They are just doing this as a test. In a case of an emergency at our place of business, they want to have a contact number to call you. If there was an emergency at home, and they call your number to see if you need help.
Rob 2011-10-20 17:35:06 Unknown
It is a scam. Don't call them back.
Rob 2011-10-20 17:34:42 Unknown
It is a scam. Don't call them back under any circumstances.
Rob 2011-10-20 17:33:55 Unknown
No, it's not legit. Another scam; what a shame.
Mandolinface 2011-10-20 17:32:52 Unknown
I just got the call. There is no question that it is some kind of scam. No legitimate organization would fail to identify themselves--unless for some reason it's a legitimate organization conducting a test to see how many people don't know that any caller that keeps their identity secret is a scam.

This number was sent to my hospital pager at 1:50 a.m. I know it was not a test of an emergency system because the hospital runs tests to pagers and cell phones (voice and text) monthly.

Number is a recording service, frequently used by companies to send mass messages, such as emrgency contact messages for a school, business etc. It is not telemarketing

Don't do it!!! This is no way can be legit. It's just not work the potential problems. Do not return this phone call and enter your phone number. Sounds like a scam to get your personal information. Military Family Readiness would contact you in this way.
