calling won't give name company blocked calls every half hour to my cell phone

They keep calling my cell phone, but I do not pick up. I have no idea who they are.

They've called daily for almost a month, leaving a prerecorded partial msg on vmail.  I ignore the calls/messages & report every occurrence to the DoNotCall.Gov website.

I called several times to find out why they called my cell phone. The 1st person kept trying to get my number, without giving me any information about who they are and why they called. They finally kept hanging up on me when I called and refused to give me a supervisor. I finally called and gave a fake name and number just to probe and get information. So far it's a collection agency called First Nationwide. I will file a complaint against them.

I called them back several times.  They are very elusive about who they are.  One person said they were a research company and another said that they were a resource company.  Hhhmmm?

RUDE they have called me for three weeks and every time i ask them to stop calling they hang up. When I insisted the tell what the do. "They said may things"

This number calls me the whole day without leaving a message or anything.  I don't even know how they have my number when I haved registered my number for the do not solicit list

I get a call from this number about 2 times a day when I do answer it I get no replay.

I've been getting daily calls on my cellular number from this number for months. No one speaks when I say hello. It just says to call them about something with my account number, but it doesn't specify what it's about. I have dozens of account numbers for all kinds of things. It's harassment, pure and simple.

This number is a collection agent. I called, and got the 411. It was for At&T Residential.

I've been getting these calls for months on my personal cell.  Asked them to stop.  They laughed.  I reported them to the FCC  (FYI, go to www.fcc.gov)

I've gotten about 14 calls int he last 3 days form these people.  Same crap as everyone else.  I called the First Nationwide number on this page and they said they had no record of my number but would put me on the Do Not Call list.  I told them I had already filed a complaint against them.  THIS IS NOT a collection agency - NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU!.  Collection agency can not put you on a Do Not call list.  They are trying to pull a scam.  Report them to DoNotCall.gov

this company is calling with false claims.  when I told them my account is in good standing for the suggested claim, the woman responded they were collections, not the company.

I've been getting calls from these people just about every week day for the last couple weeks asking for someone by the name of "Ruby". Upon doing a little research, i've found that they are First Nationwide Collection Agency of Camaeillo,CA. I called their main line ( 888-847 2499 ) and asked to have my name removed from their list. We'll see how it goes...

On a side note, this damned "Ruby" lady keeps popping up, i had a different number call on multiple occasions asking for her. Lame.

I got a call from this number today to my cell phone. I answered and they just hung up. This is strange because i just got this number like a day ago!! I can't believe how they got my number so fast!

I get calls from them all the time for various people names, none of whom lives here.  What I do now is play with them.

When they ask to speak to XXXX. I say maybe.
They will ask if person lives here.  I say maybe...

This will continue for a few minutes, then I will start insulting them manhood or womanhod....

I had one of them screaming at me couple of days ago.......

I received a call from this number and thought it sounded unprofessional so I doubted it. They claimed I owed #351.33 from Sprint from May 05. Someone stole my identitiy back in 05 and I cleared it up so it was strange that it was coming back up again. I called them back and someone answered "hello." I had to ask if it was First Nation and he said yes. I was trying to get information on steps I need to take to report fraud and he kept trying to get money from me and even talk down the amt I owed!! I thought, I didn't know you could change the amount I owed?? So my husband called the number and asked for their business license number so he could report them to the Better Business Bureau. They ended up getting in to a huge yelling match and the guy threatened to meet my husband for a fight!!! My husband is on his way to the police station now! DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO THIS NUMBER!!! CONTACT THE POLICE!!

I received a call from a woman named 'Christine(a)' week before last, claiming to be collecting a debt from Sprint via 1st Nationwide.  Now it's true I once owed them about $600, but about a year and a half ago I settled the debt by paying half in full.  The woman told me all I needed to do was mail in verification that I had paid such a bill and they would cease collection activity.  I did that, making sure to remove all sensitive personal information.  I received a message they called yesterday(O4 Jan 2007), but when I called back it was just a message "Welcome to Adam.  You are #36".  Upon searching I find this is NOT 1st Nationwide's number.

They are an extremely aggressive collection agency. While it is always good and proper to pay your bill, they are NOT allowed to call you repeatedly during the same day, (limit 2x per) and they can not prosicute your. They only collect on unsecured debts only and have no legal recourse. If they call you repeatedly, call after you have told them not to, or threaten legal action, report them to your local and state police (file charges) and your state's Attorney General's office for violations of the FDCPA, see below.

they have called my cell for the past week with that recorded female voice (This is not a sales call. But to call them back at that number). Since my cell is off during hours since I have a desk job I just check my voicemail periodically and don't waste minutes by answering my phone. I was going to call back but decided to check this posting for scams, found this information and I decided against it. I figure if I owe you money it's in your best interest to state who you are or atleast ask for me by name!!

THEY JUST CALLED ME SAYING THAT I'D OWED AN AMOUNT OF 188.88 FOR MAY 0F 05. 2 YEARS LATER AND NOW THEY TRY TO TELL ME I OWE THIS MUCH MONEY. THE PERSONS NAME WAS MARCUS AND WOULD NOT SAY ANYMORE INFORMAION. I QUICLY CALLED MY BANK AND VERIFIED THE STATUS OF SUCH AN AMMOUNT BEING OWED IT WAS A LIE.

i get calls twice a day, a female voice asking for "Robert". No one here by that name. Is this a sales call or a collection agency?
