Hello,
My name is Sean and I was employed by medical benefits group for about 2 months. I was under the impression that this was a reputalbe company...that is until my girlfriend found this site with all the complaints. I brought this to the attention of the owner and he denied all the complaints, however, I am convinced otherwise after hearing all the complaints about the lack of coverage (its not full / major medical as we were told and how we sold to the clients)..also some peopel were billed and never received their packages. If I could be of any assistance to you...let me know. My email is seanbewley@yahoo.com ...again...just email me I would be more then happy to hand over this scamming company on a silver platter (as I no longer work there for refusing to sell under those conditions)

RE:  TCPA COMPLAINT (Multiple UNSOLICITED FAXES)

To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past three months, I have received more than a dozen faxes from a company that seems to be named Group Healthcare.  Enclosed are the two most recent ones that I received on Thursday (11/8) and Friday (11/9).  They get faxed to my  fax machine:  [FILL IN YOUR FAX NUMBER HERE.]

I never invited, asked for, or gave permission (via phone or fax) for this sender to send me any information or faxes.  The sender is breaking the law, and thus, I request that the Commission take appropriate action against the sender for violating the TCPA laws.

Moreover, if you look at on of the online sites that report ?scam artists? (e.g., http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-618-0717), you?ll see that this sender has sent uninvited, unwanted illegal faxes to many people, who don?t know what to do to stop them.    Every time they fax something, they put a different phone number to call on it and yet another different number to call to supposedly get one?s fax number removed from their database.  So when people call to get their fax number removed, they remove it from one of their phone numbers and add it to all their other lists.  [Unfortunately, some naïve people were duped into applying for the ?insurance? they offer and gave them access to their checking account, only to find out that money had been taken out and nothing was being sent to them.  See their tales of woe at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-856-374-1599/2]

I did internet searches of their phone numbers and discovered that they share them all with another group?the ?National Alliance for Associations??so these two entities must be the same.   Their address is 141 Ganttown Road, Suite D, Turnersville, NJ   08012.  The phone numbers they have used include:  (800) 591-6764,  (800) 614-6706,  (800) 615-1174,  (800) 618-0717,  (800) 849-0915,  (800) 853-3593,  (856) 374-1599,  (856) 374-8663,  (856) 374-8665,  (866) 377-1988,  (866) 486-9743,  (866) 793-7480,  (888) 674-4629, and (888) 726-9440.

Again, please take appropriate action against Group Healthcare/ National Alliance for Associations for violating the TCPA laws protecting me from the use of a telephone facsimile machine, computer, or other device that sends unsolicited advertisements to my facsimile machine.   Thank you.

Who is the real owner of Medical Benefits Group? What is his name, email and contact information? Please cooperate with us and help these people. I want to inform him about the current investigation and help him identify the crooks being associated with his company. If he is saddened to hear about these victims then he will want to help. If he is a wonderful & professional man, wouldn't he want to root out the problem and assist all of these victims who have been defrauded?? Please post his name and contact information if what you are saying is indeed the truth. There are many people who would be indebted to you for assisting with this issue.

I received a fax about low cost health insurance.  I called and talked to Sean Bewley XTN 116 went through the program and then thought about it over night.  Called back and he wanted my bank account info to seal the deal.  I told him I only use my credit card.  I am protected by that.  So here it is three weeks later and I keep being fed bs about my info packet.  I have taken the steps to contact mt credit card company and report this as fraud.  Since I need to maintain health care, I cant trust these people.  I was also told that the 856-374-8665 number was in South Dakota which is actually in New Jersy so they are fakes.  If anyone has gotten a hold of someone at the supposed main office, please give me the number for that.  Oh they claim to be a broker for beechstreet insurance.

Well, I'm with the rest of you.  I do get "helpful" people every time I call (888) 726-9440.  I do not press 2, I press 1 and they do answer.  Each person promises me this is not a scam, ensures I will get my packet within 20 business days, but of course I have not.  I too have called (856) 374-8665, always receiving a busy signal.  I will post as I get more info.  I feel like such a sucker... I'm too intelligent for this to have happened.  But I will not sit here and take it.  I've started calling them from every phone I have, including sending faxes so they get that annoying buz when they answer.  At the very least I can annoy them right?

Guys--
I'm an attorney and have been chasing down these scammers for months. We are going after them with every piece of evidence we have, as they have been blanketing our area (South Florida) with faxes advertising for Health Insurance. I have received some of them myself at my place of business. Many unsuspecting, tax-paying citizens are getting taken in our area and many small businesses as well. I, along with another firm, have been working in concert to find who is responsible for these frauds and we are filing formal complaints with the U.S. Atty's Office and The State Attorney's Offices of both Florida and California. The more evidence we have (especially traceable evidence), the more likely it is that we can ensure our clients are recompensed their hard earned money. If you have any relevant information that you think can assist us stopping these frauds (names, addresses, corporate headquarters, facsimile numbers, etc.) please feel free to share them with me. You may send any evidence you may feel will assist in the prosecution of these criminals to deborah@bilulaw.com. This is not a solicitation for business. I simply want to nail these people so this doesn't continue to happen to innocent taxpaying citizens. Many of my clients that have been defrauded are elderly, one of whom is my own father, and this aspect of the fraud sickens me most.

Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer.

-LawGator

P.S. -- Ms. Kathy, I wonder if you will do us the service of giving us Brad's last name. If he is as good as you claim, I'm sure he'll be very interested in what I have to say. I'm sure he wouldn't mind at all, since he's as professional as you say.

Talked to the 888 number and then the headquarters of Medical Benefits Administrators, Inc in Newark, OH. They only provide insurance at the company level and so are not intentionally marketing to individuals or anything but company faxes. I faxxed them a copy of what I had received and referred them to this webpage so that they could begin to try to track down the problems represented on this page.

Thrilled to get an offer for insurance for my self-employed son, talked to nice guy, gave checking acct. number and routing, then got suspicious, got hangups, promises of info that didn't appear, phony customer service #, guy "on vacation" plus "I don't know who you're talking about" and hang up, all signs of big scam. I am working with my bank to stop payment on my enrollment plus 1 month fee but if they don't know the name of the company they can't do anything. Name is vague: does anyone know what it is? Medical Benefits Group? They are vile crooks to get people's hopes up plus take their money and should be shut down but how?

I got a fax from them offering low cost health insurance.  I called them up (888-726-9440)and spoke with a very unprofessional guy - my first clue. He said the company name was "Medical Benefit Association" and they were brokers for a health plan called "American Medical." He kept yawning, and gave me the excuse that he had insomnia. I had many detailed questions for him about their plan and he was able to answer each one.  He "sold" me on a great PPO plan then wanted my SS#.  I declined, so he said it was okay, he didn't need it. Then he requested my credit card number.  I said no way, and he basically hung up on me.  I'm sure it was a total scam!  I'm glad I came to that conclusion before handing out my credit card number.

This is the number for an insurance company owned by Michael P. Pallozzi. His home number/address is listed.

I got 3 faxes in a row and all are for health insurance.  One saying to call 888-726-9440 and the other two faxes telling me to call 800-849-0915.  I've also been getting some strange debt collection agency that sometimes hangs up on me when I answer or plays an automated message threatening me (without asking for me by name) to call them back.  The calls and faxes often times come around the same time every day or two.
