I was called by a young woman who barely spoke English, telling me that I had won a $50 gift card and another $200 in prizes in exchange for a $9.75 fee.  Their caller-id was hidden, displaying only the number called from--untrustworthy to say the least!  I refused the obscure call, they had called my cell phone which is listed on the Federal Do-Not-Call list. Beware, it is a scam.

These calls are predominately from Credit Card "service" and "assistance" type companies.

Known facts:

1. They will not stop calling, period.
2. Blocking the calls is annoying, as your phone still rings at least once as your blocking caller ID phone identifies them by number.
3. Many callers keep changing numbers, and you will sometimes run out of blocking caller ID spots on your phone system.
4. Repetitive complaints from you to the FCC, Federal Trade Commission really is useless. Most of the time, it's not an FCC problem and they refer you to the FTC. The FTC does nothing that can be called of assistance or causing the calls to cease.
5. Your being on the National OR your state's Do Not Call list is near totally useless. The "crank calls"  still come, the lists are ignored.

Bottom line:

1. It's apparent that you can do nothing to stop these calls.

2.The agencies that are supposed to help are seemingly either powerless against this, they internally can do nothing of substance, or they are agreeing with the corporations behind these calls and refusing to do anything.

Creative Solutions is the name of the company.  I, unfortunately, dialed them by accident, thinking it was my bank (I think their phone number is like my bank's).  Then when I got their prompt, I thought it was a legit offer from my bank for a $100 Walmart Gift Card (that, or my bank's phones had been hacked), so I gave them all my info.  Like a dodo.  As soon as I got off the phone, I checked my phone log and the last two digits of my bank's number is the first two digits of theirs.  Who knows what sort of dyslexic moment I was having.  Anyway that was silly.  I cancelled my credit card, and blacklisted their number.

I entered a contest at a local video game store for $100 gift card and this company called me telling me I won So I gave my information at first but then when they started talking about all the other things they offer I knew it was a scam. So I told them do not charge my card and remove my C.C. information and they kept trying to sell me the product. So I had to get loud with them. They have continued to call and I kept telling them to not to charge my card and they said they already did. I told them this was harrassing me and when I said let me talk to a manager they said "No" and I was like let me talk to a manager "No." and they hung up. They are scammers every time they call I will give them hell.

These scumbags called me this morning sd I won a $100 visa card for a pharacutical  purchase. the only thing they  had right was my name and cell phone# wrong address and town. they wanted me to try an emergency alert system I advised them I was not interested and hungup.
I got a second call after 8:00 pm these guys are about as slick as a brillo pad they had a different story this time I was less polite this time told them to go f*** themselves and hung up again.
These guys are crooks and I will and everyone on this blog should file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission and the FBI fraud unit. I will be doing this in the morning and if enough complaints are filed maybe we can at least get these b*****ds to crawl to a different hole or with  luck get busted.

SCAM SCAM SCAM  They almost had me until he "confirmed" the last 4 of my credit card, after reading me my full name, address, and cellphone number.  The card number he gave me was from an account I closed a couple of years ago.  What an idiot.  I said that's not my card and do NOT call me again.  He started to say "But you won't get your rewards..." as I was hanging up.

I heard several other conversations identical to the one we were having in the background so there was a room full of people fishing for credit card numbers.  How do the people that work for these scammers SLEEP at night?!  Karma is a really witch, buddy, you'll get yours someday.

The best thing to do is report them to the FBI on this site

These people called me,the woman did not speak very good english n was very hard to understand. Said I won a $100 certificate that I could use at places like Walmart, Olive Garden, etc. transferred me to a man who didn't speak english either, who wanted my credit card number for a one time three dollar fee. Kept repeating " only three dollars to get one hundred dollars". When I told him I was leery he mentioned I could take all his info n check with the better bus. bureau n see that they were a legit company. Stupidly I gave my info...it was 7pm n I had a few cocktails or I never would've done this. The guy kept repeating the call was recorded for my protection. Said it over n over. But then said the gift card could not be used for Walmart or anywhere like that...said it could be used for an herbal tea package n a bunch of nonsense. Of course didnt say that until after I gave my credit card info. So I told him that I wanted to take back my card info n was not interested n he gave me some nonsense about how it takes 48 hrs to delete in their system. It was b.s. I had to cancel my credit card and go 10 days without my card until I received a new one in the mail.too bad I couldn't understand either of them enough to find out the name of their "company" so that I could report them to the better biz bureau. Don't take a call from this number! It sounds good, especially when ur broke and could sure use a $100 gift cert to Walmart, BUT DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!!!!!!!!

Missed a call from another number, 7185146814 and so I called back and heard this "Julie" from rewards redemptions talk about $100 rebate card for favorite stores and with other promotions that came with food certificates of $25. There were in total of 5 promotions, some included memberships of some healthy programs that provides free sampling each month and the last one was some million dollar insurance. I end up giving my credit card info to a man who did not speak fluent English and a lady who spoke fluent English, who got info from the previous man. The lady was the verification process, kept on asking me to repeat the card number and the pin. She said the conversation was recorded. It seemed so professional and real, never would I ever think that it was scam. That was, until after 6 hours when I realized that its too good. With 3 promotional programs giving food certificates and the other two, free services and products. She insisted that I only need to pay for shipping and handling, 7 dollars and something cents and that I can cancel the programs anytime I want and even have me numbers to call for cancellation. She gave me the sign in information for one website service and I tried it, failed to log in, which she said her boss said that it takes 48 hours to activate. It sounded so real with "say yes if you would like to join this program". Well anyways after 6 hours, I don't want to take the risk, so I decided to look up this call, and I found a full page of google search branding this call as spam, just as I had suspected. The credit card has been suspended and all I got to say, they really planned it out well, called me at 10 am, early in the morning, just the time when I am sleepy. Well played. Oh yeah, there was a change of number that occurred when speaking to the lady. That number was 8887277029.

Whoever this is a f*cking scam! I am tired of their BS sleezy sales pitch. They got my payment info and went on about this herbal tea and a bunch of other crap that wasn't mentioned in the initial discussion. Originally I thought I was getting a dining certificate for restaurants and a walmart gift card, neither of which was the case. I told the closer to cancel that I wasn't interested; he got offended and hung up on me.

I got a call today again from a woman, she tried giving me the speal again and I told her that I was misinformed the first time, canceled and was not interested. She also got offended and hung up on me. This is a scam

I got a call today from this number andit was global.... something, I couldn't catch the rest and I asked several time "from who?" I had received a 100.00 gift certificate for being a outstanding customer at Discover card. They had my name, address, last 4 of the card number and of course my phone number. I kept saying I wasn't intrested and I'm sure there's a ONE TIME FEE  and he would start where he left off and finally got to the point where there was a one time fee of 1.00 and you also receive, and I hung up. I don't think these company's should get this much info about people unless WE give it to them... Who agree with me?
Thank you
